I have never had a problem with Scottish notes in Blackpool but years ago some shops only gave 19/6 to the Scottish pound.
I went with my Mum about 50 years ago to Tussauds. We got to the top of the stairs to the chamber of horrors and somebody screamed so mum dragged me back out of the place.
£21 admission in to the waxworks ,blimey used to be £7.50 ,some great lookalikes in there ,looks nothing like wayne Rooney though

Some of them weren't very lifelike but some were ok. The London one is very pricey even with advance tickets around £40+.

Good Evening Stephen and Lee. I really Loved this very Special and Personal video. Yes, you really do have to take your hat off, the Professional model Installers, Producing these really Great Life like Wax models of these Amasing Stars and Celebryties. I thought i very Good price to pay and go and have some Fun. It was not a Good likeness of Ant and Dec. It must be very Hard to get the Likeness of these people. Some of the Amasing models did look very real. It was so Lovely to see, Olly Murs, Beyonce, Brittnay Spears, Barbara Windsor, The Queen, The King, and the really Lovely Kate and William. I would have Delightfully paid more to visit this Excellent Attraction. I really Loved this video of You Gentlemen having some Good Fun together. Thank you very much Lee and Stephen.

I don't mind Scottish notes, but I remember one time in London I went to a pub and they gave me a Jersey fiver as change. Couldn't get rid of it so just kept it as a souvenir.

Gobsmacked you could get up close to the exhibits! Downside the prices for a family are dear, & music seemed overbearing. Taxi could easily get rid of Scottie notes on the many Scots visiting. Different, love it!
Blackpool and other seaside towns usually take scottish banknotes easily ,outside tourist places its harder
I did recognize Muhammad Ali, but, being from the USA, I didn't recognize so many others in that wax museum. Of course, the HULK, Robert Downey Jr. were done quite well. LOVED THE BEATLES. Brad Pitt and of course, the Royal personage. I didn't watch Coronation Street so I was at a loss there. The workmanship was excellent and I enjoyed every human rendition. I would have loved to have seen Doc Martin, and all the characters from "Are you being Served", and of course, Hyacinth from " Keeping up Appearances".

The Benny Hill character is Fred Scuttle. I'm a huge Genesis fan, in the the video to 'Anything she does' he stars as Fred Scuttle, the head of securititty. If you get chance have a look, it's not one of Genesis well known songs but it's great to see Fred Scuttle.

The taxi driver saw a mark (MacMaster) to get rid of that Scottish money. Not the best behavior if Blackpool really wants tourists or visitors.

It's really a shame about the weather, but this was enjoyable nevertheless. Gawd, I recall going to Madam Tussauds in Blackpool, when it was Louis Tussauds too, as a kid and to the house of horrors bit. Some of the models are quite good, others are recognisable, but some are really, really bad likenesses. There was one in Yarmouth too which was very bad, I suppose the London one is the best but I haven't been to that one.
I think there was a tv panel show where they asked who various dummy heads were and they came from the house of wax in Great Yarmouth.
