Great points, I held off from buying until I was sure I was going to stick with it. Ironically I was close to giving up as I found it so hard. Bought crossrope and found it so much easier and never looked back
I’ve got the get lean set an year ago, I jump for not less than 3 hrs/week, exclusively on linoleum and mat, mostly with the 1/4 lb rope and it is not even close to wearing out. Probably the best rope I’ve ever trained with. I kinda dislike you cannot adjust the length though. I need it to be slightly shorter than M size so I go with L and do 2 knots. However, the 6 oz speed rope ripped apart from 30 min workout on smooth concrete. You can see some metal links jutting out and I consider it dangerous to use as if you whip yourself with it you can get badly injured.
Nice! Next time grab a medium then and you'll only need 1 knot. The speed ropes have a thinner coating and are not for concrete at all. That is just the nature of speed ropes unfortunately. They definitely hold.up better onna mat though. Glad you've enjoyed the ropes!
Love the crossrope the one thing I do notice is my shoulders burn a lot more (even with the 1/4 lbs) rope than it did with the regular jelly ropes. Especially when i mix 3 to 4 minute jump intervals with pushups. Anyone else have this issue?
For sure. Start adding in more 1/2 lb rope and that will help build strength and stamina in the shoulders. Then as you bounce back to your 1/4lb it will be easier.👍
I literally just just my brand new crossrope jumprope. I got the get lean set and the limited edition matt just in case. I bought Crossrope's product because I wanted to get myself something nice and motivate me to get the most out of my purchase. It's been a loooooooooong while since I jump roped but I have good memories associated with the acitivity so I am really happy to play with my new crossrope 😊 though honestly, for anyone who wants to start jump roping on a budget there's a lot of good options out there. I once used a plain old beaded one and lost 5kg in a month and I wasn't even on a diet.
Currently using the first gen crossrope along with the first gen get lean set. Waiting to get the latest get lean set, but shipping is to expensive to my country. How much weight have you lost jumping rope?
Personally I've always been pretty athletic and active so I can't contribute any specific weight loss strictly to jump rope. Plus weight loss comes down to nutrition more than exercise.
I would tell you but I would have to..... 😂 Nah it was for my full time work and dealing with difficult people. You're definitely the first to spot that!
Like the sizing part where u say measure current rope and use nearest CR size. I only use pre sized ropes, some adjustable interchangeable ropes require playing with screws (I’ll pass) and very strong wire cutters which will also decrease the weight. U went very in depth in a short period of time, good job with that.
Question on sizing for Crossropes. My current pvc ropes are exactly 8 feet (not including handles, only rope length). Logically I would get the "small" size as it says it's 8 feet. Any comments on comparing a standard cheap pvc rope to the Crossropes from a sizing perspective?
I use the slump handles for anything under a pound and the power handles for over a pound. You can use the slim handles on the 1 lb and up ropes, but it tends to put more stress on the wrists.
Mine have just arrived … done 500 with the 1/2 pound oooooooh boy yes it definitely felt different … then done the same with 1/4 … what else can I say except brilliant … will keep you informed but it has to be 1000 a day from now on 🇬🇧

Love Crossrope!! The 1/2 pound is my fave!!

Nice! I have heard a lot of similar stories. The rope you use can make a big difference!

Thanks Walt, glad you found it informative.
If I get it from Amazon would I be getting the same warranties and benefits as if I get it from crossrope website?
I'm not sure. I would shoot customer service that question.

I would go with the small for sure. Anytime you change ropes they will feel different, but with a little practice you'll be rolling fast👍
What’s the mat for?
Extending rope life
Honestly......I just purchased the 1/4lbs rope!!..it’s ALL you need! Consistency is key! 💪
Consistency is definitely key!
For real 👍
do you have a favourite crossrope handle? if not, does it depend on the weight of the rope you use or do you just like to switch it up?
