  • How did magic get into the Witcher Universe? In today's video I talk about the conjunction of spheres and all the lore behind it. Most still consider this a theory but after the events of the Witcher 3 the conjunction of spheres is shown to be true. I also talk about how human's got into the Witcher world. There's a piece of information that I completely forgot where it came from about humans' origin in the Witcher world. It was said that some were actually from OUR world, people from the Netherlands, Spain, and nations in the exploration era. And they were kind of fell to this Witcher world.

The conjunction of the spheres (at least the way it’s executed in the Witcher) is one of the coolest concepts I’ve ever seen

So essentially someone from a world with automatic weapons could wind up in the Witcher’s realm, and a peasant with a pitchfork can magically appear in a world with flying cars.

Ciri mentions once in the game that she visited the modern world. I have a feeling that Cyberpunk will take place in another sphere.

Even though the witchers lore isn't the deepest if compared to other fantasy franchises, in my opinion its the most interesting and intriguing for the main fact that not everything is explained so people can fill in the gaps them self's and make theory's.

I don't know if this was added by CDPR, but in the book, The World of the Witcher: Video Game Compendium, it is said that humans were introduced into the world that The Witcher takes place in through the conjunction as well. It ways that they then subjugated the races that were either there before or had come previously in another conjunction, its been a while since I read it so I can't remember which one. Either way, the whole thing that other races came into a world already inhabited by humans is a myth created by humans. Again, I don't know if that's something that was added by CDPR or not, but I thought it worth mentioning as it really changes a lot of that world's "origin story" as well as that of humans.

I believe humans was "imported" in the Witcher planet from our medieval times.

I just started playing the Witcher 3 a few days ago, and I really appreciate you breaking down the lore so that it's easy to understand. Thank you so much for your hard work, it's very much appreciated!

All the events of the Witcher happened, but in a parallel universe from ours. We’re the humans that didn’t get flung into the Witcher universe, and subjected to the influence of magic or monsters 🤔🤨👀

I think to know more about the conjunction of spheres we need to ask Detlaff, the unseen elder and Regis as they're higher vampires and Gaunter O'Dimm that should of been one of our rewards

I think you mentioned this was originally an elven world, but in W3 it mentions elves arrived after gnomes and dwarfs who also arrived to the world. I've always been curious as to whose world it was originally.

The parallel universes would mean that there are humans native to many different universes. essentially millions and millions of worlds like ours but with minute differences. In effect, if we travelled to one parallel universe, you could be exactly the same and the world is exactly the same, but with the difference that, say, woolly mammoths didn't go extinct. I don't know how this possible real-world phenomenon translates to The Witcher, but some real-world scientists have

Hard to say. If there are multiple parallel worlds, then there are multiple races of humanity. Or maybe I should say humanoids. Lets put it this way, the elves, the humans, and the dwarves and such like all share a humanoid body structure. So maybe the we're all just variations of a humanoid form. (or elvenoid or dwarvenoid, take your pick)

The ship analogy was fascinating for me because it made me wonder if the Conjuction of the Spheres was in fact an astronomical event that allowed various planets from different star systems to interact with one another.
