It’s like I was looking for this story scrolling through RUclips for days after riding 390adv x from a rental, and there it is the most convincing story to stick to
Honest and apt. Salute man. Great video, great story and honestly, you certify better than the paid reviews or the ones for celebrity reach and content
I got back on the saddle a couple of years ago after a liver transplant, I chose a Mojo because I always had a soft corner for the bike and got a wonderful deal on the exact model and colour that I wanted. I attended BOBMC Ridermania last month at Kanyakumari and took a ride through Vagamon before heading home to Bangalore. On this ride, a friend who was with me riding a 390 Adv, asked me to park his bike once. I had to take it out for a small 100 meter ride to park it, this was the first time that I rode the Adv and was impressed on how light it was (when comparer to the Mojo) and the power it had ( I realized this within 100 meters). Now the question is, should i wait for the new version which is already being spied all over the place. Loved the explanation and the thought process, was on the same lines that I think. Subscribed and watching all your videos now. 😊
Thanks so much 🙏🙏 If you liked the Adv-X, just pick it up. Life is not about waiting; its about living. The new model will surely come. When is a big question mark. I too had similar thoughts when buying my Adv-X coz the Himalayan 450 was around the corner. But i felt Adv-x fit the bill and there was no point waiting. Coz something better will always come along. We should make the best of what we have NOW. Good luck
Just to hear someone speak honestly and passionately about something kept me hooked. I would put this video in the top 3 out of the last 1000 videos i watched.
This by far is the best video for those who are confused about choosing between Xpulse, 390 Adv SW, CB500X and 390 Adv X. It becomes heavily confusing to decide between the Adv variants alone. You walked the path for many of us and the way you narrated this experience is just awesome. It was quite a good feeling to listen to the audio and see the video of your ride. All the best and hopefully, I'll end up being in KTM family. Hope to see more interesting topics and videos from you. Thank a lot for such honest, nice to watch content. Subscribed.! ♥
Very commendable narration of your journey. Glad i came across it. In today’s world where everything is available in so much abundance, hardly do we sit and think what we really want and need from the bikes. We usually end up buying things that make us look cool only to realise in hindsight that we don’t actually need that much power, features and other gimmicks. Having used multiple superbikes in last 15 years, i could relate to your story and it has somehow helped satiate my never ending thirst for something new to buy. The adventure 390 X is a tool that can double up as a sunday morning bike in addition to being a daily workhorse. To me, other than abs, the lesser intrusive the electronics, the better and sharper are my instincts and skills. Keep it up.
Man you should start a podcast as well now! having an attention of a goldfish I sat through whole video. Thanks for this review. Waiting to see more from you!
About to buy ad.v 390x. I love how well you narrated it. I agree with you on all levels. However, I have an RC390 and six years later this bike still puts a smile on my face. Inspite of everyone telling me not buy it. So I lean towards learning by mistake. It's a beautiful process.
as a college student i am vermy much facinated about these big (cc's) but you gave me a very clear picture about owning these fancy bikes where everyone is following the trend and it's very very important to understand the need, purpose and how the bike will go along with you in future.
I own an interceptor but ride along with a group where everyone (except me) owns a Superbike. HD, Ducati, Kawasaki etc.. Once in Chennai- Bengaluru highway, I rode the Hayabusa. It's bloody exciting but it was too much power for Indian roads. It's like a death wish on wheels. I decided against the 200 bhp class 😅
i thought i should go for the adv x but when i started the research, most of reviwers are saying its hard to recommend to anyone, the thing is wrong with those reviwers is (ps : im not against them), the most of the paid reviewers or celebrity reviewers are already riding a premium adv like bmw ducati & others brands, they are not thinking from the point of view of a person who came from 125/150 commuter bike or may be as simple as splendor passion or in my case yamaha fz150 ...people like us don't care about electronic gimiks, we don't get dependend on electronics, yes they are good in a tricky situation, it help us like a "friend in need friend indeed"..... people like you & your piont of view is the much needed these days...beacause one cannot review properly if they are owning premium advs, yes they are expert no doubt & there expertice some times go against them while reviewing budget avds..it also applicable for the cars as well, in the end its all about mindset & skills, adventure is a mindset, one can take as simple as a bicycle to leh ladhak & come back...keep it up bro you cleared a big burden from my heart ❤.
You have a great talent for Moto Vlogging- you can spin a narrative around riding so much better than many I have come across. Please keep at it. I enjoyed watching at 1.25 speed though. It sounds just right I think. Btw I booked an ADV X too.
Congrats 🎉 I’m sure you will enjoy the X. As I’m still new to Moto Vlogging, I’m sure there a lot of scope for improvement and I’ll strive for it. Thanks for the word of encouragement
You've answered the questions which do and don't echo within the mind. I'm glad I came across your video. I'm yet to buy my first bike, I believe what you've narrated does match a lot with my likings too. Let's see how soon I'm going to get m hands on it!
I loved the way how you narrowed down the list from the most expensive & high performer motorcycles to practicality which was ofcourse the KTM ADV 390 X. Almost the same happened to me, the Aprilia RS 457 was like a love at first sight for me & well within my budget too. My love for sport/super bikes. However, after taking a lot of trials of many under 450 cc motorcycles, I found 'the one' motorcycle for myself & that is the Triumph Scrambler 400x.
This vlog sums up my total research I did all these years, my mindset and my choice of bike perfectly. I have to zeroed in on KTM ADV-X. Yet to purchase it.
I honestly feel that the Adv-X is a good option. I don’t feel the need for any electronics. If you don’t like the MRF, you can upgrade. There are several options.
I watched all of it. Thank you for your efforts. It made a lot of sense to me. I could really relate with with the super bike owning dream and overlooking all practicality of it. Those were really some words of wisdom.
Hats off. Another adv X'er here. Similarly went through a process, but somehow my heart was seized by the pure performance to cost to weight ratio of the KTM. With the X version, it got even better and it was a done deal from day 1. I Booked on 31st July, Paid the full amount on 8th Aug & got delivery with number plate at 6pm on the 10th. Took it straight to kodaikanal from the showroom post puja and it was a love at first ride. Unbelievably sound handling , braking, acceleration, cruising, maneuverability, and solid power to pull one out of any situation. Munching miles through the highways to save daylight time at the destination, has to be the best cost (time) saving one can have, given our busy schedules. 😅 I went up the ghats fully saddling and discovered the joys of an adv. the offroads to reach our destinations immediately allowed my X to show off her controlled aggression. I expected city commuting to be painful, but her lightness & handling just changes the game. I've made my peace with her taking up 3.8 bucks per km as fuel cost, apart from that this is a machine for anyone looking for a pure biking experience in the indian context. 😍
I bought my first bike back in May 2016 , The BS3 Duke200 , over the years the spirit of biking has dwindled and I really didnt care much for bikes, However on 28th Oct , a friend of mine who was contemplating on getting an Adventure 250 asked me to accompany him to KTM showroom i cldnt resist testing the ADV 390 and boy was I blown away , the comfort , the refinement and the fun aspect with its lightness has me swayed away enough to be on RUclips at 1:41 am , and thats when I discovered this video of yours brilliant narration , You earned yourself a subscriber . Will I be getting a KTM ADV 390? Only time will tell! Time to contemplate and make a decision wise enough 😁
Thank you. One of things I didn’t mention in the video is people getting carried away and buying a motorcycle without really having the passion to ride or travel on two wheels. So, evaluate your situation well and only then decide whether you want a motorcycle or not and if yes, which one. Good luck. I sure hope to see one more biker in the world.
That's a great video man. I am currently in a stage thinking about the bike I want and the bike I really need. This throws some light on how I should make my decision.🙇
Hey bro!! I felt personally!! The review was honest and emotional♥️!! I planned to buy an KTM but i have stucked with choosing KTM 250 gen 3 vs KTM 390 adv x
Even I bought Adventure X for this sole purpose. It just gets the job done, packed with a powerful engine and offers what is just necessary, cheaper than duke 390.
The more I think of SW version, the more I feel it is unnecessary. With the low suspension travel you would hardly being doing such jumps which could impart huge impacts on the wheels. Plus Adv390 is not that heavy either that the wheels would take such a beating.
what a crazy analysis bro, I owned the first gen himalayan and had to sell it cus of MBA. On the lookout for a new adv since ages, test rode ninja, versys, trk etc and then finally rode the adv 390, felt 4.44 lacs on road in blore was too much and later felt triumph speed 400 was the answer to my prayers, went to keerthi triumph and was disappointed looking at the size of the bike, looked like a toy on me. Related so much with your video brother, ADV X is the way to go !!!! Buying 1 this week !!
Thank you. Yes. Even I felt that the Speed400 is very small in size for a 400cc motorcycle. In a way it’s good coz it’s gonna be nimble and easy to handle. Coming to the Adv-X - this is gonna keep you happy for a long time. Congrats on ur new motorcycle. Do connect on Instagram and keep me posted on your experience with the Adv-X
Good rationale , I agree. I currently own a Interceptor 650 Since 2019(upgraded from duke 200), covered long distances, what i miss if off-roading . 2-3 years from now i would do one of these 2 things , 1) Upgrade to new KTM Adv, they are currently working 650cc parallel twin(co-dev by Bajaj/Indian made): this would means id have to sell by interceptor , as i don't think this will be anything less that 7.5lacs 2) or keep my interceptor for the roads and buy a secondary off-roader , like the currently in development 420cc DOHC Liquid cool rally spec hero dual sport
While i am facing the same dilemma as you were back then , i tumbled upon this video . I own a TVS Apache 1604v for the last 3 years and its my first bike . In these three years my friends have ended up buying higher CC machines and somewhere i felt left out . I always had a thing for touring and mostly used my 1604v for highway riding from my hometown to a metro city 210 kms away . Now i rode the dominar 400 UG 2023 and fell in love with the power it offers . Now i am confused if dominar 400 would be the right one for me as i live modern tech and electronics which the KTM adv 390 V offers ( my height is 5’8”) . Seeing this video I have a lot of my doubts cleared and would spend the next month retrospecting the thing and come to a conclusion maybe . A big thumbs up for this content
For 5’8” you can go for 390 Adv (if you choose to go with KTM) with regular seat height. I’m 5’8” too and it’s perfect for my height. If you loved the power of Dominar, you are gonna love the 390 series even more because it is even more powerful.
You really stopped me by selling my ADV 250 Sir.... Thanks for a really mind chilling questions with a beautiful answer..... Will not sell now ... Will ride it with love and care.
Man, i just watch your video first time... N really felt it relatable... You're really a good story teller... Love the way you showcased ...i found it attached as we're almost on same age bracket.. keep up the good work as you are doing ... Love from uttarakhand ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for grounding the imaginary hype of superbikes and saving a tons of money of indians. Like you It's been a year I decided for 250 adventure as a practical machine for me but not yet destined but not loosing hope.
Hey @prameethprabhu !! Thank you for this super honest vlog, it is such an eye opener and crashed all my big bike dreams in a positive way of course. I’m grateful to you to guide me so well, a real world dream that I can afford to live and enjoy. Cheers!!!!
Things you said about practicability of owning a right motorcycle, yes you said it right.. We are underrating the adv-x.. Thanks man, I am giving 2nd thought of need for Sw and use of it

Heyy Sir, I'm 21 year old and just got my first job a year ago in Bangalore , saved around 2.5 lakhs from last year just for bike and i am super confused in r15m or to get some adventure category bike but after watching this video i questioned myself does r15 really fullfill my requirements of doing long tours and travelling, and the clear answer i got is no, So thanks for the video sir, you're really making awesome content. Keep it up.❣️ Now I'm saving a bit more for adventure 390 x yeah i have to wait a bit but it's ok to wait rather than regretting after the wrong choice. 😅
Somewhat similar story, was about to buy in April, but dropped the idea, now seems like this video ignited the spark again, finally got wife’s consent to get one now, will be getting the sw version soon
Good choice, i am in a confusion too. Now iv decided to go for a 40 bhp, mid 170kg, 170 ish mm travel, 200 mm ground clearance, tubeless tyre bike, dual chanel abs and slipper clutch is all i need as features.
@@prameethprabhu : I currently own an interceptor, so now I am definitely looking for a light weight adv. My confusion was if I should lean more towards offroad Enduro or road biased mild offroader. M sort of convinced for the latter now. I am binge watching you videos, those are places I mostly go or want to go . I am waiting for the new ktm 390 advs.
There should be spoked wheels and adjustable suspicion on every adv/dirt bike imo. The sole reason i want to get 3090 over the 250 is 1. Suspension 2. The Adjustable leavers
Bro, what a story, i could see things happening in front of me as you were narratng the scenario. Loved your video. You just got a new follower. Ride safe. Cheers
I bought duke 390 without resolving and thinking arround all.my needs, thinking that i wanted it for years wnd bought it now when 2024 version came, i think i may not be as happy as you are😅, but the choice has been made and time commit to enjoying that beast of a bike, i think i can do it but just saying we should always think very carefully what makes more sense for us at a perticullar time, if you are not sure about the one you are going to buy just think what fullfills your needs the most🎉 and lastly dont ever buy a bike because you saw others talking about it how cool it is and subconciously started thinkin it will be cool for you too
Duke is a fantastic machine. It can do a lot of things really well. I remember watching a video of Varun Painter where he told he would have chosen the Duke over the Adv if only he would fit on it as the Duke is smaller in size and Varun is a tall guy. I’m happy for you man. KTMs are machines which make you feel alive. Their power is addictive. Wear safety gear and enjoy the thrill that the Duke has to offer. Congratulations on your new machine 🎉
@@prameethprabhu thanks a lott bro, understanding it little by little from past few days and enjoying the good things that came with it after upgrading from my prevoous 150 cc .
After riding a Karizma, I was really convinced that CB500X was the perfect upgrade. Just two things stopped me from buying it - Price and no switchable ABS. It was in my budget. But I felt it is over priced for the the hardware offered.

So, evaluate your situation well and only then decide whether you want a motorcycle or not and if yes, which one. Good luck. I sure hope to see one more biker in the world.
Pretty good explaination and express great work bro keep going with some great context like this one! A true biker

Awesome comparison and honest reviews🎉
This video solved my entire confusion about which variant to buy in the 390 adv series
Sir review was great 👍full of information 💯hope to see more of your Moto blogs 🤝🏻wish for your success 😇
Thank you. More coming up soon. Hope you have subscribed
Love the way you narrated your experience! Happy motorcycling! 😊
Thank you 🙏
Bro, just took out my current bike scenario thoughts, in a single video. Damn! It hit hard
What was the bike you had in mind?
“Second hand” super sport bikes, got heavily influenced by people riding them
@@FoxPro22 i can understand. I too was there once upon a time.
@@prameethprabhu i thank youtube algo for suggesting me you and i thank you for making such a video.

That's a great video man. I am currently in a stage thinking about the bike I want and the bike I really need. This throws some light on how I should make my decision.🙇
Glad my video was helpful. Do connect on Instagram and update me what you picked up.
Hey bro!!
I felt personally!! The review was honest and emotional♥️!!
I planned to buy an KTM but i have stucked with choosing KTM 250 gen 3 vs KTM 390 adv x
Thank you 🙏
Test ride both and decide. But most importantly, be clear about what you need the motorcycle for. Good luck
Just the video I was looking for .
What a story it was.....
As you said it was a story worth sharing.🙂👍
Do share it with others 🙂
@@prameethprabhu sure👍
The eternally beautiful Kaggalipura route ❤
Absolutely. Nice flowing corners ❤️
Fantastic video....very good presentation. Even the background music was perfect....not too loud and not too soft.
Thank you 🙏
Even I bought Adventure X for this sole purpose.
Very nice video, it really helped me control my dreams or fantasies and focus on the reasons for what I need a bike. Thank you so much 👍
I too was in doubts.. you are right advs are the most practical motorcycle. in the roads and offroad. so I bought this baby finally.
what a crazy analysis bro, I owned the first gen himalayan and had to sell it cus of MBA.
2-3 years from now i would do one of these 2 things ,
1) Upgrade to new KTM Adv, they are currently working 650cc parallel twin(co-dev by Bajaj/Indian made): this would means id have to sell by interceptor , as i don't think this will be anything less that 7.5lacs
2) or keep my interceptor for the roads and buy a secondary off-roader , like the currently in development 420cc DOHC Liquid cool rally spec hero dual sport
Great content!! 🤘🤘
That was some genuinely good point of view and review ❤
@@SSJMotoworld Thank you
While i am facing the same dilemma as you were back then , i tumbled upon this video .
@@prameethprabhu This excites me more for taking the test ride 🫠
@@ayonology6434 Yeah try it out first. Try the regular seat height itself.
make sure to test ride it on highways, city riding wont let you feel out her true power@@ayonology6434
one hell of a narration... too good man..!! 👍
You really stopped me by selling my ADV 250 Sir.... Thanks for a really mind chilling questions with a beautiful answer..... Will not sell now ... Will ride it with love and care.
Glad to know. Ride it hard (not rash). That’s when you will really enjoy KTMs.
Man you are a great storyteller!!

You're most welcome bro
Awsum story…great going bro…
Thank you for grounding the imaginary hype of superbikes and saving a tons of money of indians. Like you It's been a year I decided for 250 adventure as a practical machine for me but not yet destined but not loosing hope.
When the time is right, it will happen automatically. Trust me, it will.
Hey @prameethprabhu !!
Thank you for this super honest vlog, it is such an eye opener and crashed all my big bike dreams in a positive way of course. I’m grateful to you to guide me so well, a real world dream that I can afford to live and enjoy. Cheers!!!!
Cheers buddy 🎉
Nice and raw video you made, beautiful.. This is ur first video I saw, but you should vlog more often.. Cheers
Things you said about practicability of owning a right motorcycle, yes you said it right.. We are underrating the adv-x.. Thanks man, I am giving 2nd thought of need for Sw and use of it
Thanks you. I’m on it

Keep it up.❣️
Now I'm saving a bit more for adventure 390 x yeah i have to wait a bit but it's ok to wait rather than regretting after the wrong choice. 😅
Great thinking and good luck
@@prameethprabhu Thanks Sir❣️
Same here but it was apache rr 310 for me now going for adv 390 x
@@karthikreddy8427 All the best bhai😇
when you are not earning much and buying a bike think about the maintenance and petrol cost. It doesnt make difference in you monthly budget planning.
Somewhat similar story, was about to buy in April, but dropped the idea, now seems like this video ignited the spark again, finally got wife’s consent to get one now, will be getting the sw version soon
Glad to know. Happy riding

The story telling is fantastic. Hats off
Wow! That’s Passionate vlog , love it❤ keep going brother

I bought a BMW g310GS and wish I purchased the KTM 390 Adventure. I like the idea of it being light and having adjustable suspension.
You can still sell the G310GS and get a 390Adv 🙂
@@prameethprabhu Yes, I'm toying with the idea.
Great video. Great story telling. 👍 Each and every word in this video is true. Great job 👍.
Thank you
Appreciate your honest and heart felt narrative ❤
Thank you 🙏
great video man, loved it
Thank you 🙏
Personally I will also opt for an Adventure X. Too much electronics and adjustibility options can leave a rider confused.
Agree. The X works pretty well in stock setting.
A perfect video ❤ Worth watching.
Thank you ❤️
Good choice, i am in a confusion too. Now iv decided to go for a 40 bhp, mid 170kg, 170 ish mm travel, 200 mm ground clearance, tubeless tyre bike, dual chanel abs and slipper clutch is all i need as features.
If you had mentioned 44bhp instead of 40bhp, you would have described the exact specs of a 390Adv 🤣 Anyway, what is ur confusion?
@@prameethprabhu : I currently own an interceptor, so now I am definitely looking for a light weight adv. My confusion was if I should lean more towards offroad Enduro or road biased mild offroader. M sort of convinced for the latter now.
I am binge watching you videos, those are places I mostly go or want to go . I am waiting for the new ktm 390 advs.
@@uthkarshnaik6608 a friend of mine, Vijay, also had an interceptor and recently shifted to the 390 Adv SW
There should be spoked wheels and adjustable suspicion on every adv/dirt bike imo. The sole reason i want to get 3090 over the 250 is 1. Suspension 2. The Adjustable leavers
Adjustable levers and suspension can be retro fit on the Adv-X
Bro, what a story, i could see things happening in front of me as you were narratng the scenario. Loved your video. You just got a new follower. Ride safe. Cheers
Thank you 🙏
Lot of experience 😂. Very practical one. 👏👌
Very well presented...u have earned another subscriber
Thank you 🙏
I bought duke 390 without resolving and thinking arround all.my needs, thinking that i wanted it for years wnd bought it now when 2024 version came, i think i may not be as happy as you are😅, but the choice has been made and time commit to enjoying that beast of a bike, i think i can do it but just saying we should always think very carefully what makes more sense for us at a perticullar time, if you are not sure about the one you are going to buy just think what fullfills your needs the most🎉 and lastly dont ever buy a bike because you saw others talking about it how cool it is and subconciously started thinkin it will be cool for you too
Duke is a fantastic machine.
@@prameethprabhu thanks a lott bro, understanding it little by little from past few days and enjoying the good things that came with it after upgrading from my prevoous 150 cc .
u missed out on 500x ..but yeah depends on choice ...good luck on life and happy riding ❤
After riding a Karizma, I was really convinced that CB500X was the perfect upgrade. Just two things stopped me from buying it - Price and no switchable ABS. It was in my budget. But I felt it is over priced for the the hardware offered.
