I really want Bethesda to improve the weaker weapon categories like pistols, shotguns, rifles and melee so there isn't just commado's and heavy gunners running around. I tried making a shotgun build but it was so, so much worse than my heavy gun PA build that i just reverted back. Why did they give shotguns 90% damage penalty beyond their measly range i have no idea. Also the nerf to the gauss shotgun was terrible.

As someone who never crashes and hasn't run into any bugs affecting my playstyle, I'd rather them buff everything and rework most of the legendary effects and bring them up near bloodied. They are buffing alot of random weapons both in damage and ap cost thats a nice start plus they announced Melee buffs, auto axe getting slightly nerfed.

V63 Carbine doesn't work in VATs, camera locking on your face (thats gamebreaking actually), Ticket to Revenge being bugged removing the Legendary Perks, making it useless. I just started using a pistol build. My favorite is the crusader pistol, i also really like the gauss pistol and alien blaster. Was using a poison alien blaster with crit charge, got a quad explosive from EN, changed it to anti armor, kept the regular magazine and i like both of those
You have to be so close to the enemy with the low accuracy of this pistol, you might as well be a melee build. I love playing with the explosive 10mm pistol, even though it's low damage, but lots of fun.
They really need to lower the ap cost for every pistol, and a perk that increases crit charge and crit damage with pistols specifically would be nice. Every other fallout game pistols had the best crits and lowest ap cost, but they're outclassed in their own specialty by commando in this game.
AP cost is not the reason pistols are bad, buffing this would change nothing. A crit charge perk card would also change nothing as you can already crit every second shot

If i could turn it into a hybrid stealth build like my bow build it would be super good, but there's absolutely no room for that
I remember when I first started playing and didn't know anything about builds, I used a rifle for long range and a shotgun, pistol, or melee for close range. Then I figured out that you should only really spec for one type of weapon for full damage and benefit. That was disappointing. It would be great if buildcrafting was changed so that these weapons no one uses could be implemented as secondary weapons in your build somehow to switch to depending on what you need.
Exatly, you have 0 precision with this pistol, is so frustanting you prepare to shot in the enemys that are on your face and not hit. Pistols are my favorite buld, but you have no damage. And enclave pistol haven't the strong mod, making him tô easy tô break. Is frustanting.😢

Thy, i appreciate your videos as usual. But this time i disagree, the best pistol is a enclave with pistol grip, flamer or auto mods (one each). At least for Guerilla Pistols. Far superior range, comparable ap cost and more dps. I recommend an Quad, 25% ff, 25 ap cost red, currently running 800 ap, and grim reaper sprint as guerilla build. Its amazing, and fun. And to kill bosses, just crap an auto axe, throw in a melee dmg food uff, and you good to go. With Reflex sight it goes down to 18 ap per shot (dont take refley sight for the flamer though (its a waste)). Which is 8 less ap then the rifle version. Dps, and range surprisngly stay the same, only precision suffers slightly. Trade off are the crowded Agility Perkz, but if you run either adrenalin 1 instead of 5 or only 1 in eac guerilla perk, you are fine. Go for Gun Fu 3 so, since it ensure you kill enough to pric grim reaper sprint before you run out of ap. Might be the best daily driver i ever had, as strong as CHOCHOO before nerf. It also has the advantage of saving perk investment in perception, concentrated fire (take 3, since pistols lower accuracy in vats) and the armor pen perk, is all you need. More Perception is a waste, as an unyielding build you have enough to hit in vats anyway. Play third person, to not have the ugly Weapon in your face. Stack Agility for max ap, currently running around 60, with only camp buff and agi carnivore food buff + max ap food buff. Have a company tea and music buff running at all time. Thats it, easy to manage and extremly strong for everything then bosses. For the Flamer i recommend, after testing many...and wasting many mods, Vamp, 25 ff, break slower for convienance or, if you have 300 repair kits and dont bother repairing mid fight ap cost reduction. But if you find yourself never dying..swap vamp for bloody obviously. Avoid Anti armor, its a trap. Dont waste your time with other pistols, unless for style or fun reasons ofc.
I appreciate your detailed review. I think many people want a non-automatic pistol build, otherwise it kind of just feels like a commando build with a shorter stock.
During this weekend legendary sale with 10 k script I was able to unlock AA, Last shot, Quad, and Overeaters. The only major ones I need to learn now is unyielding and weapon weight
Hi Turtle. I see so many videos on pistol builds but everyone seems to overlook and understated monster of a pistol. The Enclave plasma pistol with an aligned sniper barrell! It can be devastating on non-boss enemies. As with the EPR the VATs range and accuracy is way above ANY pistol OR rifles available. Plus with the right build a lot of enemies go down in one or two hits. It's so satisfying popping a whole group of enemies one after the other with gun fu without missing a single shot. That's the true meaning of a gunslinger. Maybe a video on this may give it a good showcase? 😉
If anyone wants to try gorilla, the enclave auto pistol (Bvhc25) with aligned auto, bruising, reflex, prime mods and unyielding specs, +agility on armour, grim reapers sprint maxed is a very viable option for those who have got bored with standard op builds. Been running it for about a month. Very fun, OP in its on right, and just a bit different.
The best tradeable pistol was actually quad, explosive, reload western revolver. Priced at 10k and presumably a 4 star equivalent will be best in tradeable slot.
The Gamma Gun is likely better. While the Gauss might do a more damage per bullet, the Gamma Gun fires faster and doesn't suffer from the locking up bug. The Gamma Gun is a good deal better than the Alien Blaster in terms of DPS, regardless.
I wish they would just make the weapon specific damage and armor penetration perk cards 1 star each so we can’t switch builds easier, switch quicker, and lessen the insane amount of time it would take to try new builds, also allow us to try out different perk cards that could be fun to use but there’s not enough room due to everything else
I would love to see more innovation in the customisation and modding in this game, if they implemented the ability to mod our weapons separately on top of how we are able to mod our character, this would be huge imo. It would allow for much more diversity in the game.
Sea turtle that’s just it. It’s a charging weapon. So the most damage you can get out of it should be when you charge it not just because you put an explosive legendary effect on it.
I still have all the Fallouts on my computer, just in case I decide I want to get some old style fallout in. I got them when they were all new and fresh(.Sigh that makes me feel old now) And yes the Gauss sniper was great in the early fallout games
I have an idea for shotguns have different ammo types like slug rounds have more range and damage, bird shot could have crippling damage, incendiary would do DOT fire damage i dunno just a thought that popped into my head
You can spam the GP much faster in 3rd person mode. The DPS is amazing doing this. Not sure why you'd ever use it in first person if you're also using VATS
so is there a unique interaction between explosive weapons and anti armor? because otherwise the best option for full health builds is aristocrat even against bosses usually. Wiggle did a video recently comparing anti armor and aristocrat but he didn't touch things like the gauss mingun

the weapons show 125dmg is because when you are not using it the skill that buff the gun doesn’t apply to the gun but when you are using it does apply (sorry for my f up english skill)
The best pistol in the game is a plasma pistol with explosive. Add a flamer barrel then pulse capacitor. Try that out vs. the gauss pistol then get back to me

Explosive radius in general seems to have gone out of the window over the last week or so. I usually farm the 3 stingwings that spawn near my camp at whitesprings for the meat and bug parts and I used to be able to hit the one on the tree with a flame arrow and that would also take out the 2 on the building. Lately they need 1 shot each cos the area damage just isn't what it should be, I'm hoping it's just a bug somehow caused by the scorched event so it'll fix itself once it's over, tbh I'm beyond tired of having to hunt scorched anyway so the sooner it ends the better even if it doesn't fix any issues that have popped up recently
I think they need to rework pistols all together, every primary weapon card should also buff pistol dmg (heavy gunner gives +20% heavy gun dmg and pistol dmg) or something like this to allow us to have sidearms, rather than make pistols their own class they should make them useable with every single class
imagine if they nerf vats hit for gauss rifle without quad. It would be a disaster, a marksman rifle that can't hit anything. At least in quad, you can charge concentrated fire by shooting. Glad they reverse the changes with hit chance

it's weird in general. the gauss technology is always the best. why spend so much gb on weapons that suck anyway when commando is the strongest most versatile build. nowadays heavy pa and commando are about the same again, heavy is slightly better off i'd say especially with all the buffs.

The fact I paid 20k caps for an alien blaster that was only viable for 2 weeks before nerf is infuriating. That being said if they nerf gauss weapons I will be uninstalling this game after putting so much time into getting the weapons and then upgrading them.

They need to make enemies more aware and more perceptive. Sometimes enemies will walk right up to you and just stare at you after shooting them. Its ridiculous and way too easy. Especially if they are 75 level and up.
I didn't think anybody was still playing this. First they killed the ability to have five nuke events on a single server.... That was strike one They nerfed The ability to be a single shot rifleman like the lever action and pretty much forced you to play commando.... Strike two They got rid of ammo glitching, strike 3 But when they came and deleted legacy guns just out of our accounts, that was a real honest insult. I won't even play it Bethesda game anymore. I immediately canceled fallout first, don't even pay for game pass anymore. Just going to play cyberpunk till Xbox dies. For real though in all honesty I've never seen a company be so brazen against what The customers, the one supporting them actually wanted out of a game and what they actually did with the game. Honestly I could go on a 3-hour ramble naming more specific examples and countless little things. The game was okay, it got one or two updates and got amazing, then every update after that just got progressively more in your face worse. Fallout was the only franchise I've ever loved, and a single-handedly just destroyed it.
Single shot builds was destroyed by the damage multiplier change which was very lazy and uncalled for. But at least they realized the problem and are gonna buff those weapons in the next update. Everything else you’re talking about are all glitches, and you’re mad about a game studio patching glitches in their game? That’s literally unheard of. The game is definitely not perfect and has a bunch of other problems that hasn’t been fixed for years, but if you only find joy in exploiting the beneficial glitches, then I’d say it’s a good thing that you aren’t playing anymore, both for yourself and for the game environment. It’s literally an MMO game. They simply cannot satisfy everyone. As long as the game is delivering a good experience to the majority of players and making good revenue, it is a successful product to them. If you don’t like what they are doing, then yeah, don’t play it anymore.

@@SMDTURBO exactly but that's also not the only reason. And the reason for the glitches was because I pretty much mastered been there and done that. I was part of a group that would do speed runs. They were the best online friends ever made and what we would do in our group that would vary between 8 to 16 people on any given night every night, is three of us would prep all three silos at the same time, then launch systematically the next one just as the first nuke event is starting to end. It was more fun than playing the actual game the way it's supposed to be played. And we had a blast and also constantly invited low-level people to join up with us so they could get all the free experience and we were all into dropping huge care packages for baby players. Not to mention most of the updates were just useless crap like atomic shop items instead of maybe more storyline for example

My unarmed build is actually pretty solid, the only problem is actually getting to enemies before the commandos and heavy gunners melt them

They are mostly impacted by the fact all gunslinger perks are in the agility category, they need to move them to perception

This game gives you so many options on various things and so little to none conditions where each thing could be useful.
Alien and plasma both need some kind of buff to offset the slow projectiles.

Why does the damage lower when I equip my weapon? It would be like 200, but when I equip it, it'll change to like 125. Why? thanks.

I usually farm the 3 stingwings that spawn near my camp at whitesprings for the meat and bug parts and I used to be able to hit the one on the tree with a flame arrow and that would also take out the 2 on the building. Lately they need 1 shot each cos the area damage just isn't what it should be, I'm hoping it's just a bug somehow caused by the scorched event so it'll fix itself once it's over, tbh I'm beyond tired of having to hunt scorched anyway so the sooner it ends the better even if it doesn't fix any issues that have popped up recently
Ive tried with the pistol so many times and never seemed to do much for me. I have a two shot one (cant remember what other effects I have)
I think they need to rework pistols all together, every primary weapon card should also buff pistol dmg (heavy gunner gives +20% heavy gun dmg and pistol dmg) or something like this to allow us to have sidearms, rather than make pistols their own class they should make them useable with every single class
I love gamma guns but their ap cost being massive, and not reduced when converted to automatic really sucks

Both are still too weak, I mean, the current rendition of the alien blaster is a full blown retcon at this point.

I've had a B50v25 for a few years, imo was better than the TS blaster of old.
imagine if they nerf vats hit for gauss rifle without quad. It would be a disaster, a marksman rifle that can't hit anything. At least in quad, you can charge concentrated fire by shooting. Glad they reverse the changes with hit chance

it's weird in general. the gauss technology is always the best. why spend so much gb on weapons that suck anyway when commando is the strongest most versatile build. nowadays heavy pa and commando are about the same again, heavy is slightly better off i'd say especially with all the buffs.

@@genkigirl4859 I haven’t used the enclave flamers as of recently but I use the non enclave plasma flamers with pulse capacitors and explosive doesn’t have a fast break that I have seen but I run 3 gunsmith along with civil engineer set
The fact I paid 20k caps for an alien blaster that was only viable for 2 weeks before nerf is infuriating. That being said if they nerf gauss weapons I will be uninstalling this game after putting so much time into getting the weapons and then upgrading them.

@beastabuelos6421 agreed. I make 40k in seconds. This game is mad easy and when they nerf/buff crap, I always have something to move to. It is annoying that they keep nerfing instead of buffing lower performing weapons.
@@SMDTURBO I agree. But I've also been using the AB lately on my new pistol build and I'm not even sure what this guy is mad about. Sure, maybe cryo was nerfed, but using the standard mag, AA E, really strong.
@beastabuelos6421 ngl I just recently found a B50c25 in a vendor for mad cheap and it one shots nearly everything other than big 1 to 3 stars like Scorchbeasts and death claws, etc. But idk what people are crying about, get a better build. Weapons aren't supposed to be OP with 0 build, lol. These new players are not only entitled but wear helmets.
They need to make enemies more aware and more perceptive. Sometimes enemies will walk right up to you and just stare at you after shooting them. Its ridiculous and way too easy. Especially if they are 75 level and up.

I didn't think anybody was still playing this. First they killed the ability to have five nuke events on a single server.... That was strike one
They nerfed The ability to be a single shot rifleman like the lever action and pretty much forced you to play commando.... Strike two
They got rid of ammo glitching, strike 3
But when they came and deleted legacy guns just out of our accounts, that was a real honest insult. I won't even play it Bethesda game anymore. I immediately canceled fallout first, don't even pay for game pass anymore. Just going to play cyberpunk till Xbox dies.
For real though in all honesty I've never seen a company be so brazen against what The customers, the one supporting them actually wanted out of a game and what they actually did with the game.
Honestly I could go on a 3-hour ramble naming more specific examples and countless little things. The game was okay, it got one or two updates and got amazing, then every update after that just got progressively more in your face worse. Fallout was the only franchise I've ever loved, and a single-handedly just destroyed it.
Single shot builds was destroyed by the damage multiplier change which was very lazy and uncalled for. But at least they realized the problem and are gonna buff those weapons in the next update.
Everything else you’re talking about are all glitches, and you’re mad about a game studio patching glitches in their game? That’s literally unheard of. The game is definitely not perfect and has a bunch of other problems that hasn’t been fixed for years, but if you only find joy in exploiting the beneficial glitches, then I’d say it’s a good thing that you aren’t playing anymore, both for yourself and for the game environment.
It’s literally an MMO game. They simply cannot satisfy everyone. As long as the game is delivering a good experience to the majority of players and making good revenue, it is a successful product to them. If you don’t like what they are doing, then yeah, don’t play it anymore.

@SuperSubmachinegun no they don't. Don't lie. I've been an xbox player since launch, the numbers during the week and especially at night are extremely low.
I agree the game is shit, although I still play. But a lot of what you listed as grievances, is just you mad that you can't do glitches anymore.
@@SMDTURBO exactly but that's also not the only reason. And the reason for the glitches was because I pretty much mastered been there and done that. I was part of a group that would do speed runs.
They were the best online friends ever made and what we would do in our group that would vary between 8 to 16 people on any given night every night, is three of us would prep all three silos at the same time, then launch systematically the next one just as the first nuke event is starting to end. It was more fun than playing the actual game the way it's supposed to be played.
And we had a blast and also constantly invited low-level people to join up with us so they could get all the free experience and we were all into dropping huge care packages for baby players.
Not to mention most of the updates were just useless crap like atomic shop items instead of maybe more storyline for example
