    Wow, I didn’t realize how much Filipec abstained from using pedal in the 5th etude until now

    The technique is good, but in the second piece the left hand lags behind. Or is this a record?

    This is an awesome piece, thanks for sharing it, completely unrelated though I have a question for anyone seeing this if you are well versed in marching band pieces or what have you I am trying to find the name of the song that is played in this video
    ruclips.net/video/GC1WEdgXKEI/видео.html
    I have linked it at the start of when the announcer has stopped talking and just the piece shines through he begins speaking again at two minutes and 5 seconds. If anyone could tell me the name of this piece I would be grateful.
    P.S.: This is not a Rick Roll, although it would be funny, nevertheless I am genuinely asking for help on this matter.

      That sounds like the Funeral March from Beethoven's 12th Sonata.

    I think the 5th Etude is quite close to Hamelin’s interpretations except MAH uses more pedal.

    • @Varooooooom
      @Varooooooom 3 года назад +4

      Hamelin also (I think intentionally) speeds through the last recap of the main melody

      Goran Filipec. Had to leave his name out of the description for now, since RUclips seemed to be giving me upload troubles earlier because of it.
