    Great review thanks!! Question, besides the golf functions does the watch have all the functions of for example a Fenix 3 that you mentioned you own?

    • @JitzKing
      @JitzKing  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Adrian! For my purposes I would say it has all the activity tracking I look for, with golf as my primary purpose for the watch.
      For example, if you do any walking, running or cycling, it will also track using GPS and will show you a map of your route along with various metrics: pace, distance, HR, just to name a few. It also allows you to connect to additional sensors, HR strap, cadence and foot pod sensors.
      The Fenix would be ideal for an “advanced” individual who does a lot more outdoor activities and want something more rugged, has more features and metrics. Like how the S62 is geared towards and has more golf features.
      Keep in mind the Fenix is not touchscreen. While still manageable for golf, is not as seamless as with a touchscreen.
      Subscribe and stay tuned! I will post a video with all the available activities you can track with this S62.

    • @JitzKing
      @JitzKing  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Missed this earlier. The background is in colour, but it’s not crisp like an Apple Watch. But also why the battery lasts so long without a charge. The watch isn’t heavy for me so it doesn’t bother me or affect my swing. *I* affect my own swing 😂.

    Hi How do you reset the watch S62, and re Pair to Phone, someone had played with the watch and settings and I can't get the Red T, or option to select from the menu as it does not show me all that I see on your video, I am not very technical and find myself pushing buttons all the time, plus does the watch change held automatically or do you have to select it, regards Jen

    Thanks for doing this video.
    1. I noticed, quite a lot, that you had some slight troubles with the touch screen sensitivity. As in you have to touch multiple times for it to register. When you're out on the course, sweaty, I can kind of take issue with this. Tbh I would prefer tactile buttons like the fenix.
    2. The S62, and the now old x40, are the only garmin dedicated watches that have a heart rate reader and I know the S62 has some, though limited, multi sport functionality. Would be great to see its other uses as it's an expensive watch only for golf.
    3. I think mentioned in the comments already, would be great for a follow up review once you have played 5+ rounds with it. Virtual caddie, will likely have some bugs, so would be great to understand its limitations.
    Very interested in this watch but I'm torn between a fenix and the S62. Certainly I like the look of a fenix better.
    Thanks vm!

      For point 2. I meant to say, the S62 and x40 are the only ones in garmins GOLF product lineup that have HR sensors on the back of the watch

    • @JitzKing
      @JitzKing  4 года назад

      Hi Wings Horns, thanks for the comment and great observation. I may have done a disservice to the touchscreen with my dry callused fingers 🤣 and not really knowing how to function the watch during the video. I had the same concerns as you because of my experience with my Apple Watch 3 that could not work well in rain or the shower. After using this for a week now, also in the shower with the watch completely wet, it works exceptionally well! Just to make sure I wasn’t lying, I just wet the watch face under the tap, wet my fingers, and it functioned as if it were dry. I tried it also with the tap water continuously running over the watch, this didn’t work so well.
      For the other activities, look for my other video where I share all the other activities:
      ruclips.net/video/vRTisxay804/видео.html
      Would be similar to the Fenix and other watches in terms of the software, since it has the same look/feel as my old Fenix 3.
      I’m itching to try the Virtual Caddie. I also wonder how good and accurate it could be. Stay tuned!

    • @wingshorns1768
      @wingshorns1768 4 года назад

      Hey EK thanks for the fast reply!
      1. Awesome u did the water test, makes me feel better about the touch screen's tactility. Much appreciate. And good point about getting caught in the rain on the course. It happens, and good to know the S62 will still perform.
      2. I noticed your other video on the S62s non golf functionality so that's good as well. The fenix will have better multi sport functions but definitely gives up some golf stuff so theres a trade off.
      3. Good swings on the course. Would be awesome to know how virtual caddy works.
      Cheers!

      So far I've done well with the plays like feature, having had any issues. However, I'm certain a rangefinder with slope would be more accurate atm. But, for convenience and that I can't hit my shots with pinpoint accuracy, I'm happy with the S62

      Hey not sure exactly, might be depending on the hole. Par 4 and 5 shows the whole tee to green view, par 3 it will just zoom into the green. I’m guessing that’s what you’re referring to?

    EK, i picked up the S62 a few days ago but i’m having an issue with it.
    The watch picks up the course and everything but it doesn’t work on the holes.
    By that i mean, it doesn’t count down as i move from tee to green and doesn’t change holes automatically.
    Should i send it back to Amazon or is this a quick fix? Thxs!

    • @JitzKing
      @JitzKing  3 года назад +1

      No you don’t need to use the sensors unless you want the distance to be tracked automatically. Without the sensors, you hit your ball, while you walk to your ball the watch will ask you which club you hit, then when your hit your next ball it will record that distance

    To get club stats and engage with virtual caddie assist, do you have to enter each club each time you hit?

    • @JitzKing
      @JitzKing  4 года назад

      After each shot, it will ask you what club you used. It's very simple to do. After entering it for 5 rounds, it will activate virtual caddie and I assuming with ML, it will improve as it captures more stats.

      Charlieboy Lol imo, the Fenix 6 Pro is definitely an amazing watch, but I think it depends on what you’re going to use it for. The Fenix is great if you are an active multi sport athlete, with golf more as a secondary. It does have all the golf courses loaded, but doesn’t have some functions and most convenient, touchscreen which I’ve found great for golfing. In my case, I use my watch primarily for golf, where strength training, outdoor activities are more secondary.

    • @JitzKing

      I guess it’s relative to how big you and your wrist is. I’ve always worn a watch while I played, and while I had the S20, I also had my Apple Watch on. Never found them to be bothersome, no rubbing.
      But, the G80 with the launch monitor would have me tossing up a coin 🤔. I did consider that before S62 was released. That’s a sweet device as well. But, I still don’t like that you have to unholster it vs lifting your wrist up. However, another pro for the handheld is the larger screen! Two handed operation though...it’s a toss up

A lot of GPS watches crash or move screens every time you take a shot, rendering the device useless!! Thanks Andrew! The top red button is the only one that sticks out, and the middle and bottom button are shorter and requires more “effort” to press it. I think it would be difficult to accidentally press the buttons, the top button being the closest to having a chance. Good news though, that only brings up the golf menu. Secondly, even if you manage to hit the back button, the golf activity is still running in the background and you can easily get back in by hitting the top button. It is possible to lock the buttons but I agree, it would be a PITA!
