Hand Painted Sign for my Channel. Cut on Shapeoko CNC

I thought my enclosure needed a little sprucing up, and I thought at the same time I could make something to advertise my channel too. This is the outcome. I don't think anyone will be calling me to do any custom painting anytime soon, but in the end it turned out good.

looks good, what size v bit did you use and how deep was the cut? thanks for showing your work

Brian Benton the letters were done using a 60 degree x .5 v bit. It was a v carve tool path so I didn't set a depth it's automatic. The depth is set be the width of the font and the degree of the bit automatically.

Very nice job....Did you seal the wood before painting? Have you ever used the 3M sanding disks for cleaning up the vcarve?

Grant Clarke no I didn't seal it before I painted. I find the acrylic paint doesn't really penetrate the wood much so it sands off easy. I have never used the discs you are talking about.
