@@Saiputera Such a launch would engulf the entire northern hemisphere in radioactive fallout in about 6 months. Six months after that, the southern hemisphere would suffer the same fate.
A large-scale launch would also induce at least a two-year nuclear winter. Bye bye agriculture around the globe. The food chain in the oceans would partially or totally collapse when the phytoplankton (the base of the marine food chain) die off because of the lack of sunlight and cold temperatures. Starvation will kill multiple millions of people.
Radiation sickness would kill 60% of those afflicted within 6 weeks. The remainder would take around 8 weeks to 12 weeks to slowly die. The radioactive aftereffects would be felt for at least the next 40 to 100 years, accompanied with all the genetic mutations and birth defects that go with it.
The major portion of Earth's surface would be virtually uninhabitable because of fallout containing strontium, plutonium and uranium isotopes. Some of the by-products will have half-lives of 10,000 years.
It won't be just the "liberal world order" that will suffer. A nuclear launch of sufficient magnitude will INDISCRIMINATELY kill off about 2/3 of the Earth's population over a period of about 15 years. Genetically, the human race would never recover and would likely become nonviable enough to become extinct.
It is for all these reasons and more that I am holding out hope that the military command staff ON BOTH SIDES will be sane and pragmatic enough to realize what lunacy it is to engage in nuclear warfare. Nobody wins. We all lose.

I'm surprised there was no mention of Elon Musk challenging Putin to a fistfight for the fate of Ukraine. And I also think that if Trump would have gotten a second term, he would have pulled the U.S. Out of NATO by now, while down playing Russia's invasion. @@tatechasers2393 Those are side-effects that people assume they got because of the vaccine, when they would have had those things happen whether or not they had the vaccine. Just cuz you get a pain in your foot after taking a pill doesn't mean that pain was caused by the pill. Also, hundreds of millions of people have gotten the vaccine without any harmful side-effects.
