@@Porkhammer I have a question if yo don't mind. Have you tried out the Opel Ascona 400 at all? Gave it a run on Poland earlier and it was barrel roll after barrel roll lol
I had people who did rally told me I should steer with the driving wheels, so rear wheel drive, you steer with the rear wheels, 4 wheel drive, you steer with all 4 wheels, and this shows.
Good drive - your ahead of the car the whole way - which = fast. Not reacting after the fact. Which = slow. Good use of the 1's and 0's ( lol ) = a solid 10.
thx for putting up setups for console users. i dont get much time to play with setups. in general, what do you change between wet and dry tracks? i have trouble in wet gravel/ mud
I don't change anything between dry and wet setups, actually! Except possibly tyres. I'm lazy so I try to make my setups work "across the board", so to speak. Thanks for tuning in.
Do you learn the stages by heart? Because it seems you know exactly what's coming up and in which gear to take the corners regardless of what the pace notes say. For example the corner to the right at 4:41 that you take in 3rd gear isn't even announced in the pace notes and generally speaking it seems that those pace notes are more of a suggestion than an actual representation of what's to come (it seems to me that "3 right" can mean anything from a 4th gear corner to 2nd gear one). That's why I don't get any confidence in the pace notes and keep crashing while going too fast or loosing time while going too slow. I wonder whether that's just me being inexperienced or whether those pace notes really are lacking.
I've done the stage in career mode and historic championship a few times already, so I was pretty prepared on what to expect! I'd say I memorized 90% of it.
This title has so much potential if only Codemasters would take the time to tweak the FFB. They seem to be concentrating on pumping out the content but not addressing the fundamental thing that gives a sim title longevity and a great fan base. Good FFB and physics. While the latter is very good the FFB is not. No matter how much you muck around with the wheel settings and in game settings you can’t find that sweat spot. I fear over time this sim is going to lose a lot of fans because of this. If you pay attention to the RUclipsrs a lot are already dropping this title by the side of the road.
I don't have much problems with the FFB, personally. In my opinion the biggest problem with this game is the tarmac handling, and some of the cars reacting like pinballs to the enviroment. DR1 also had this issue. It was mostly gone in D4 (the pinballing), but now it's back with a vengeance.
You get a great tune out of this Opel, fantastic drive, well done
Thanks David. It did end up feeling pretty good!
Nice driving as always man, beautiful
Hah, thanks Mustafa!
That first corner is always a tricky one for me... No matter how I approach it, it always seems like I lose a bit of time over everyone else
That's why I enter it slowly and pick the exit line carefully. Thanks for tuning in.

Yeah I've tried the Ascona. Very slow, but nice and predictable to drive... though a little heavy for my personal liking.
Nice driving style. Thank you for showing us your car set up, i ll test it at night!! 👍👍👍👍
Hope it works well for you!
This is fucking mental, true speed
Thank you, Memulous. :)

That makes sense. :) Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Mr. Burdine - I felt like I was overdriving it on a number of occasions though. :D
