India divided into 75 states ? Well, wy not ?
I am living in Germany, which is a lot smaller then India, with about 85 millions inhabitants. Germany is divided in 16 states, of which each one has its own parlament (Well, some of them are really small, what doesn´t make much sense). The largest state is Bavaria with about 12 millions. This state is further divided in 7 sections, each one with an own parlament. And the next lower step are the cities and districts ...
I imagine, it would be a good idea, if, for instance, North-east-India had its own parlament. They could have a closer look to what´s happening in the republics there. Dehli, seems to me, ist just too far away.
India should be united for ever.

Statehood model will not work longer for India. Despite being beautiful and the key factor of Indian society, diversity is also a challenge in itself. So near future India gonna need a diversify friendly arrangement.

Most important policies like Law & Order, Education and Healthcare governs on state level. Smaller the state, easier for the state government to distribute funds evenly and manage it effectively. Also, they will also be more approachable by the local masses.
Take a look at current smaller states (besides Norteast due to geopolitical reasons) perform better on basic infrastructure and facilities compared to their larger counterparts. Jharkhand and Chattisgarh improved their respective rankings after getting formed.
Larger state brings more central politics and focus only on prosperity of specific regions instead of whole state. Example: In Maharashta, easter MH (Vidarbh) has largely been neglected compared to their westen counterparts. North Karnataka is far underdeveloped compared to south Karnataka.

what is the equivalent of Maslow's hierarchy of needs in India that should be done by the Indian government? We are not clear who is responsible for these divisions. The general consensus is British people, but the caste system may be ours only. but after that division who thought this good lived their life happily with all their needs met.

Right!!!bulky States, very difficult to handle by the state government alone. Time to end and kick out the same old wine in a new bottle. Time to divide and better live peacefully. And time to make regional parties. Fed up of BJP and Congress.
Well the main problem is states with capitals will gain a lot while other states without capital have faced a lot of problems.
Telangana got Hyderabad and it became the richest state while AP still fighting on where to put capital or for some infrastructure AP can't afford it because it became a revenue deficit because of the loss of Hyderabad.
While Hyderabad and its region are growing a lot AP struggling. All the people again go to Hyderabad and it will take huge city and political parties in those states make more money and say stuff like AP is not developed like us while it was mainly developed because capital cost all these states until it got separated

The current AP Govt is bad. But the point here Telangana became rich overnight because of Hyderabad and they have so much surplus money what did they do invest everything in freebies. Even if they are politically unstable they get money from Hyderabad
On the other hand AP became bihar of the south and lagged in all aspects. On top of that there is a incompetent leader causing the state to go down hill.
If the state has a big city there will be rich people and industries and companies because of that there will be some kind of development by them in the city and surrounding.
If there is no big city political parties are leader and development depends on them.
If it's at the independence or state which is equally developed then division can be good.
States like AP, Karnataka Maharashtra they have one big city in one region and entire state is dependent on that be in freebies or schemes.
Small state will become bankrupt state in no time if correct leader is not appointed.
@@unknown.m.e Bifurcation itself is not the problem.... The method in which it was done, as well as the successive governments in truncated AP is the real problem.... Chattisgarh lost Bhopal and Indore but survived and developed Raipur.... Uttarakhand lost Lucknow and Kanpur but survived and developed Dehradun... AP still has Vizag, Vijayawada, Tirupati which have the potential to be next Hyderabads, but political system doesn't recognise it.
This remembers me of Maharashtra - Gujarat bifurcation in 1960... Gujarat lost Mumbai but Maharashtra paid some 600 cr compensation to Gujarat and now both of them are developing fast. Same should have been done with AP & T.
Now the best thing to do is to trifurcate the present - AP into Rayalaseema, Dakshinandhra, Uttarandhra and let each state grow up independently

It is correct. Tamilnadu capital is Chennai which is 750 kms from places like Nagaerkoil. Also only the north and northwest districts only are economically developed. Tamilnadu should be divided into 3or 4 states for equitable samathvam development and employment opportunity.
