I think one thing Matpat didn’t think about was how influential HE is in style. I always was pressured to wear neutral tones because that’s what was “in”. But then when he started Style Theory and talked about how he found his personal style and love of fun colors and patterns, it made me realize that can be just as trendy and fashionable! Sure he may not have a fashion icon or role model to look up to, but he’s definitely become a inspiration for others ❤️
What a phenomenal final episode! Just seeing Mat and Steph feeling so excited and comfortable in their new outfits/styles was absolutely delightful, but it also was super encouraging to just try something new myself! As a child, I would often be into out there pieces which I often didn't get to try bc my mum didn't like them and wouldn't buy them and she would talk my into stuff I didn't like that much a lot (not in a malicious way, but our tastes are pretty different) and as a teen struggling with body and self image, I would just wear whatever and would often look kinda awkward, despite enjoying designing outfits when drawing. I slowly started experimenting with fashion after moving out as a young adult and for me, it was much the same as for Mat and Steph. I had my comfort style and just didn't know how to rearrange it and add new stuff without losing something of my personality. I did figure out a lot of things over the last few years and it felt a lot like this episode, which only goes to show how I grew together with Team Theory 😂❤ Also, can we talk about how well Mat and Steph compliment each other as a couple with their style, buy still maintain their uniqueness? I like how they enjoy similar things and can share some pieces, but are still not exact style copies of each other, which makes the "poofy green dress" and "boldly patterned suit" combo extremly loud and unique, yet somehow incredibly balanced. Also, Steph just loving herself in the green dress was the cutest thing, she had such a glow to her in this episode in general and it was such a joy to see ❤️ With their Style journey on the channel ending, I'm stoked to see Amy's vision from here on! 🎉
I can't describe how much Matpat and Team Theorist have helped me both discover my style(s) and express myself better since the channel launched. I'm so glad i got to be apart of this, the final countdown before the internet's main theorist, researcher and history teacher persues other dreams. I'll try to leave a comment on every final video across the channels, but for this one- thank you. I'm excited to see Amy tackle this channel, but i'll definitely miss the guy himself.

Watching this after Amy and Santi's style quiz episode just brings it all together. Style is about YOU. Not what shape or height or ethnicity you are the YOU that's built on life experience and interest. Struggle and dislike. Two wonderful examples! Jamie and her knowledge of what Steph and Mat like and who they are. Then the quizzes over on Amy and Santi's end that focused on PERSONALITY. And that's what science is about example and results!
Steph in that green dress is giving MAJOR Anne Boleyn vibes. From Six we've got the green and the big poofy short skirt, and that square neckline really reminds me of Tudor kirtles. I love it.

I think the obvious thing that this episode goes to show is that while automation is very helpful, that human to human interaction matches wayyy better with personal preference over trend matching. as a chubby guy myself I lean to the looks that made me slim (so I thought) so darker shirt, polo shirts and the never ending shorts. never tried to go outside of my comfort zone and thanks matpat this inspired me to try colors

I’ve always had the problem that “all my clothes are blue.” Jeans are nice, but they just make it harder for me to not wear all blue every day, so I decided to switch to khaki pants.

Stephanie looked absolutely stunning in her outfit at the Mario Movie (also loved the shoes)!!! And loved Matthew in the formal suit at the end (without the bowtie)! Not everyone can wear such a busy pattern, but it really suited him.

I've never been that thoughtful about my style, but watching Style Theory made reconsider and actually think about my outfit choices. It may not seem like much, but thanks to you guys I discovered many more colors, fabrics and pieces I'm comfortable with wearing on a day-to-day basis, and for that I'm thankful!
Seeing MatPat embrace all the button-ups and sweaters makes me think we are on the verge of the DadPat revolution. It just gives big Cool College Professor energy, and I love that for him.
Interesting that all of the stylists in this video took MatPat's dad energy and turned it up to 11. Like. Describing him as Back to the Future was very on point. He's got Marty Mcfly / Star Lord energy. But then the outfits he got were more in line with Hal from Malcom in the Middle. I can only wonder if that means they view him as more mature or adult than he views himself.

I think the obvious thing that this episode goes to show is that while automation is very helpful, that human to human interaction matches wayyy better with personal preference over trend matching. It feels like it should be obvious but the results speak louder than the logic. Great episode! I’ll miss you Mat!

as a chubby guy myself I lean to the looks that made me slim (so I thought) so darker shirt, polo shirts and the never ending shorts. never tried to go outside of my comfort zone and thanks matpat this inspired me to try colors

I’ve always had the problem that “all my clothes are blue.” Jeans are nice, but they just make it harder for me to not wear all blue every day, so I decided to switch to khaki pants.

Stephanie looked absolutely stunning in her outfit at the Mario Movie (also loved the shoes)!!! And loved Matthew in the formal suit at the end (without the bowtie)! Not everyone can wear such a busy pattern, but it really suited him.
We will all miss you so much Mat, you have raised so many of us and showed us the way a a true theorist.
Thank you Patrick Family (Matt and Steph) for your service in teaching me things throughout the years. You have banked enough credit with me to see how the shows go on without you. I've never been that thoughtful about my style, but watching Style Theory made reconsider and actually think about my outfit choices. It may not seem like much, but thanks to you guys I discovered many more colors, fabrics and pieces I'm comfortable with wearing on a day-to-day basis, and for that I'm thankful!
Seeing MatPat embrace all the button-ups and sweaters makes me think we are on the verge of the DadPat revolution. It just gives big Cool College Professor energy, and I love that for him.
Interesting that all of the stylists in this video took MatPat's dad energy and turned it up to 11. Like. Describing him as Back to the Future was very on point. He's got Marty Mcfly / Star Lord energy. But then the outfits he got were more in line with Hal from Malcom in the Middle. I can only wonder if that means they view him as more mature or adult than he views himself.
