Congrats on your new home, Shay! I love this video and would love see more home makeovers! Just as a quick tip, the new banana leaf plant you picked up does best outdoors because it loves sunlight and humidity. It can live indoors, but needs a lot of light to do well. I would recommend getting a grow light if you want to keep it in the corner of your bedroom. You can use grow light bulbs and convert any lamp into a grow light if none of the available grow lights fit your aesthetic. I would also recommend hanging your pothos in front of your bedroom window, so it can get more light (as long as there isn't any harsh direct afternoon sunlight). If you are considering getting more live plants, snake plants are easy to care for and do not require as much light as a lot of other plants. However, they're still live plants and require at least *some* light. Otherwise, faux plants are great way to liven up a space without any light requirement 🙂

The “I’m just gonna paint one wall yellow and see how it looks” mentality is wild, if I paint a whole wall and don’t like it then that’s it for me, it’s staying that color or at least a few months before I get the ambition to go through the trouble to paint it again 😂

That big Bird of Paradise is going to die.....they need very bright sunlight and your room is extremely dark, especially in that dark corner. You need to either get a powerful grow light or it needs to be taken out of the room to a really sunny location.
