I often tend to grab the materials that are easiest too, creating art outside is so fun and I wish more people felt comfortable enough to do it 😊

11:07 Great idea Kat. I enjoy a bit of everything and curating my paper mediums in one sketchbook sparked my creative muse. 🙏🏼💕

It really does sound great. I get a bit caught up in the thought of binding the whole thing together but it really doesn't need to be complicated. What do you use for your sketchbook?

Fun video! (the sound was rather muffled at the start)
I tend to make a small journal with writing paper for my many notes and something suitable for drawing with a ballpoint pen. This is also where I stick ephemera. I also bring a larger thin sketchbook with paper that can handle some paint and ink, although this last trip I used only fountain pen and colored pencils. It's less awkward than it sounds, and it suits my needs.

Thanks for letting me know about the sound! Fountain pen and coloured pens sound like a fun combi :D

If you bind your own travel sketchbook with multiple different kinds of papers, and only use one side of the pages - when you're home you can cut the book open to rebind the pages in chronological order, with single page binding.
It sounds much scarier than it is!! It's quite easy to do, and doesn't need to be perfect. (: just saying.. it's an option.
