    This stuff is cool. I have free access to all these autodesk programs as an engineering student, so I want to just explore this stuff in my free time. This video series is by far the most helpful I've seen

    this was really good and useful, but some criticism would be to better judge what parts of your video are simple filler that you can speed through and what's actually important to slow down and show.
    One example, I initially had absolutely no idea what you did at 8:10, I had to go back and go frame by frame multiple times to realize that you duplicated really fast before selecting the finger. And even after deducing that i still don't know what you're doing and how you got it to delete the palm but not really delete the palm.
    extruding the thumb would also have been a nice place to simply slow down a bit.

    its acting like the normals broke when I attached the feet, the bridge tool is doing something very strange and unexpected, like the normal are backwards or something, so the material is acting like straight edges. I ended up combining and then merging the vertices where it connects.. also.. there were times, like around minute 16 when you just "need to redraw a little bit" I got lost! Thanks for an AMAZING tutorial. I love this series

    In your tutorial where you only model a hand you had the whole thumb moved towards the inside of the palm. In this one you rotated thee thumb. Is this a better way? Or they're more or less the same?
    What I mean is the procedure you do starting from about 10 minutes in this one and about 22 minutes in your "Easy Hand Modeling Tutorial in Maya".
    Thanks!

      Once it’s combined you can start to bridge the object (hands and feet for example)

      If you select some faces, you can hold shift and drag a selection over everything and it will invert the selection, you can then delete the faces you don't want. If you hold D and V while in the move tool, you can snap the pivot to any vertex, then while still in the move tool, only hold V and you can snap move an object to any vertex.

    • @StrawberrySoup
      @StrawberrySoup 7 месяцев назад +2

      I struggled with this a bit too, but I think I figured it out!
      1. Select the hand in object mode -> duplicate (ctrl + d) the hand
      2. Select all the faces of the palm -> delete (the palm of the duplicate hand should still be visible!)
      3. Reset the pivot point to where he shows in the video. Idk the shortcut for it, but I found it by double clicking the "move tool" on the left side of the screen and selecting "Edit Pivot" and then moving it accordingly.
      4. Put the finger in object mode -> Duplicate (ctrl + d)
      5. After duplicating, hold "V" and drag the duplicate finger to the next vertice as shown in the video.
      I hope this helps!
