If a band wants to sound tight, it's pretty crucial that the bass (along with the drums) is solid and consistent throughout, and the more you run around the harder that is to achieve. Hence a lot of bassists, even in punk bands, being rooted to the spot while the guitarists can prance around the stage causing trouble

A lot of people don't understand that Derf Scratch had to be that good to play sax that bad. And Spit Stix, one of the best drummers in punk rock or anywhere. "I've got some real money, please be my friend." "Yous' all suck, who don't think so?"

Upon first hearing this, I really liked the groove. When I did some research on these guys, listened to Sports and Research Chemicals, I began to understand and really appreciate what they are about. That made this song even better. Fun, tongue and cheek rock 'n roll band. What more do you want?

Same here. THPS1+2 has added quite a few gems onto the original soundtrack. some of the added ones aren’t that good ( like the female rap songs, wtf?), but most of it is pretty damn good.
