every damn rental I live in the upstairs toilet never properly flushes. you have to always hold the lever. I put in a new flapper & nothing has improved.
perhaps that's the wrong flapper for the tank??...you should Google it....thanks !
The flapper fits & works. I've watched it & had others double check. I know the flapper was my 1st thought
+Chris & Wanda issue like this, chain length. you should take all but 1/2"slack out of chain, the when you normally operate the flush handle , the flapper opens & it's not sucked closed by water until the tank empty. shorten that chain to minimal slack at resting ...see if that helps & when it's perfect twist a link to remove unused tag end as it can tangle into malfunction....hope this helps you & other operators in the situation..lol...get urself out of situations with one flush. away go trouble, down the drain
