This week Nile is driving the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Preferred RWD, or SE RWD in the USA. This mid-size electric sedan is positioned alongside the IONIQ 5, but with limited availability compared with it's compact crossover brother. This EV comes with a lot of features buyers need for daily life in Canada including remote starter, charging and climate scheduling, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, backup camera, power trunk, keyless entry, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and navigation.
We go over the pricing for this vehicle along with the overall features and specifications. We then hit the road to talk about our overall energy economy, range, drive, ride, and handling of the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6.
TestDrive is proudly produced in St Thomas, Ontario, Canada.

The look of this car so polarizing that some days I like it and some days I hate it.

I can see that! I'm glad I had the chance to drive it, I was surprised how many people were checking this out while I was driving it.

@PRNTestDrive seems because it actually is. The UK is a joke for vehicle prices.
I remember as a kid my dad being shocked driving past a Honda dealership in FL when on vacation.
The top of the range Accord V6 was $17000 and he'd just paid £28000($60 000 at the time) for a 2.0 non V6(wasn't available in UK).

    60K CAD is 43K USD?
    Idk what your on about?
That's a pretty fair price point compared to the competition. When you look at the EV market, Tesla (western hemisphere) and BYD ( eastern hemisphere) are what dictate the global prices.

It's certainly fair based on the competition, but EV prices in general need to start coming down. I'm (Nile) a huge fan of EVs, but as we continue into 2024 the prices need to get better. We have so much more competition and choice in the market, yet everyone's aiming for high-end price points. We need more affordable EV options.
