The groove stick was meant to be used with one stick on the top of the hi hat and the other stick on the bottom. It would allow to the drummer to play faster rhythms for techno music. Drummers were trying to emulate rhythms that could only be dome on drum machines...
Oh that's neat. I assumed the point was to look cool by seeming to use more drum sticks, or maybe to hit rythum things simultaneously without having to exert extra effort. Drumming is quite athletic. What does dwarfism have to do with getting a job , or college ?
@ I'd imagine it's because skill-based employment (the type which requires a degree or certification) places less emphasis on public perceptions of an individual than do jobs in hospitality or the service sector. I know from experience- being short and looking young- that employers in those sectors often pay and promote based on superficial judgments rather than actual competence; that what you are capable of doing does not matter so much as what it's assumed a person is capable or incapable of doing. In a skill-based job, you're being hired because it's known already that you are qualified for the job.

The needles on the portable record player were simplicity in itself to replace. By the mid to late eighties, stylus' were contained in a plastic unit which clipped into the front of the arm. They did their job well and fidelity was great at the time. Some upmarket record players had proprietary fittings but the most common used by many brands was that red one pictured. You can still get them
3:44 Wait....are those flavors all failed? I love the PB ,always hope to get my hand on mint ,and since the red velvet has just became a limited flavor in my nation this month(July 2019) , I was going to try it.
Awesome. I'm going to show this to my students. I am a shop teacher in New Jersey and I value failure highly. In fact my grading policy is called A+ for failure.
LaserDiscs don't belong in that museum. Unlike RCA's SelectaVision discs (a much better choice for the museum), they were on the market for over a decade and were very popular with those who could afford them. When higher definition laserdiscs were released in the form of DVDs, the technology forced the retirement of videotape. It's also a little unfair to pick on Blockbuster and video stores because they were wildly popular, but it was too expensive to convert to the new technologies. Like Kodak, they did what they needed to do at the time. However, I remember stocking Ayds in our drug store. Even before the 1980's, the brand didn't sell very well.
Kodak absolutely did not do what they needed to do at the time. They literally invented the digital camera but sat on it in fear of losing business, until other companies.... went digital. I would put them in the museum as well.
Go Kermit Sewer side huh? Trump is a president world leaders actually take seriously. After 8 years of backsliding Obama and his administration gutting out and selling the country to China, daddy's home and everyone's scared of the consequences again.

Steffen Rosmus How about President Trumps Re-Election. Going to be funny watching all those leftist cry and scream. But I guess the biggest question is what is the demonrats going to blame their failure on this time?? Because we all know they can NEVER be wrong.
The Sound Burger was not a failure, in fact the design has been widely copied in the last 10 years due to it's popularity! Calling those Oreo flavors a fail is quite disingenuous, you can still find many of those in stores.
Some of these are just examples of obsolescence rather than failure. For example, laserdisc was around for about 25 years and was the high end choice for videophiles. Quality was actually much better than VHS and pioneered the use of letterboxing, anamorphic widescreen, digital surround sound and the inclusion of the extra features (like audio commentary, deleted scenes, etc) we now enjoy on DVD and Blu ray.
I think the only Blockbuster Videos are up in Alaska. Although I did hear on the radio recently that one here in Texas finally closed, the last remaining one in Texas supposedly. I was so upset, I didn't even know there was one down here! I would've made the trip otherwise.
I was saddened when I heard that. Be lucky that store lasted through two decades of brainless idiots who actually think today that Blockbuster WAS a failure. They only think this because they didn't have as much fun as we did growing up with that franchise around.

LOL. Those Oreo cookies were just limited edition!
Probably their excuse for a failure! :D
You're right. Good call 👍
F in the chat
The red velvet is definitely still around
Get the peanut butter kind occasionally. They have been around for a few years.
Great video, I love watching your uploads thank you
I remember Ayds - coincidentally these were a dietary aid to help weight loss and as we know AIDS also causes weight loss
I remember them too. They always made me really hungry so were not a success.
@@hawkpaul8735 - I figured they were so chewy, you burned calories just working your jaw.
American spelling deficiencies is why we dont have AYDS today
I am so sad I missed this exhibit. This is the quality content I come to YT for.
New Coke was ok. Just tasted like Pepsi. A little sweeter. By changing it was essentially admitting Pepsi was a better recipe.
You guys are too silly! This is my comedic relief for the day. Thank you for doing this!
I've actually tried those Peanutbutter Oreos, they're pretty good
logan kerr, the pumpkin spice Oreos were good!
I wonder why the peanut butter Oreos are in the museum, they still have them... I just saw them on jet.com
I had the cinnamon Oreos a few weeks ago! They are amazing!
the golden oreos are too. i like the flavored ones better then the regular
They were delicious.

Wait....are those flavors all failed? I love the PB ,always hope to get my hand on mint ,and since the red velvet has just became a limited flavor in my nation this month(July 2019) , I was going to try it.
Mint Oreos are delicious. Taste just like mint choc chip ice cream!
Awesome. I'm going to show this to my students. I am a shop teacher in New Jersey and I value failure highly. In fact my grading policy is called A+ for failure.
I'd pull up a chair in a dimly lit corner of the museum and sit holding a sign that read:
"meaningful relationships with women"
...and at regular intervals flip the sign to read "attempts at self deprecating humour on the internet" on the other side.
Mgtow
You did not fail me. I enjoy watching this.
I love your tours, you always find very interesting places! Makes me feel like I’ve been traveling ☺️👍🏻
California needs to be an exhibit in the museum of failure.
I'm glad to see you back Adam!!!!!
Love or hate Trump; the "Make America Great Again" hat was not a failure. No idea why that's in the museum.
Because it was originally made in china and he made america a laughing stock.
@@gokermitsewerside358 But I thought the museum was for products that failed to sell/be successful.
@@adwftkv3184 true. Beats me? They did mainly just talk about the boardgame and his tv show.
Go Kermit Sewer side huh? Trump is a president world leaders actually take seriously. After 8 years of backsliding Obama and his administration gutting out and selling the country to China, daddy's home and everyone's scared of the consequences again.
7:47 OMG the best!! That stuff was so awesome with all the colors. I loved it.
Is the " war on drugs" in there? How about Beto? How about Hillary's term as secretary of state? So.many. questions.
How about Trump' s term?
How has he failed? You must mean Eric Garcetti
Wow. Using someone's vlog about a museum as your own "special" little political platform. How low-classy. Dude, get your fat ass up, walk away from your TV set, and get a life!
Steffen Rosmus How about President Trumps Re-Election. Going to be funny watching all those leftist cry and scream. But I guess the biggest question is what is the demonrats going to blame their failure on this time?? Because we all know they can NEVER be wrong.
@@darrenp428 Dumbass can't even capitalize his name lmfao
What is the failure of the Lego instruction as seen on the right at 5:35 ?
Great video! The RokBlok is the new portable vinyl player. It's crazy that Vinyl sales are about to pass CD sales for the first time since the 80's!
Joshua Chancey Really? How does that actually work?
I still have a Laser Disc machine and several movies. Haven´t used it for movies for more than 10 years, but still use it to play CDs
Hi Adam! Hope you're having a great day!!
Thumbs up, and I just subscribed to your channel. Very interesting journeys.

Only designed for Def Leppard drummers.
I only checked in to see you safely made it. Glad you did!
The Sound Burger was not a failure, in fact the design has been widely copied in the last 10 years due to it's popularity!
Calling those Oreo flavors a fail is quite disingenuous, you can still find many of those in stores.
Glad your back I missed you just recently started watching Jordon the lion to fill in.
So, does the museum closing make it it’s own failure? What a conundrum.
No, it didn't close, it's just a pop up museum that travels across Europe and the US. Sounds pretty successful to me.
It did fail to close on time...
Betamax was not a failure, it just sold less than vhs. It still sold a LOT of units.
it was super popular in japan
Mint oreos are not a fail! They are so good.
Agreed
They still bring out the mint oreos for limited runs
I just checked Blockbuster's website. They claim to have 6 stores in Alaska, 2 in Oregon, and 1 in Edinburg, Texas.
I was saddened when I heard that. Be lucky that store lasted through two decades of brainless idiots who actually think today that Blockbuster WAS a failure. They only think this because they didn't have as much fun as we did growing up with that franchise around.
thanks for making this video. seeing how they are trying really hard to put a damper on POTUS, I am glad that I didn't have to waste 15 dollars to see this exihibit. I hope they included this exhibit in the exhibit.
I liked the huge display of trump's failures. They should dedicate an entire museum to him.
For a Split Second, I saw a Model of the Titanic! That definitely belongs as it was a Massive Failure!
Hey Adam I have one of the first Barnes and Noble Nooks and I LOVE it!!!
There was a fight over whether Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi's district would go in the museum.
Did you see the giant display dedicated to all trump's failures?
I remembered a bunch of these and also the commercials of the items.
Museum of failure is a "fail" they let you record the exhibit. now i dont gotta spend $15 entry. or go search the place out and travel there. thanks :)
LOL
The alternate Oreos are less failures and more designed to be occasional/seasonal items or limited runs...you can actually still find the Cinnamon Bun ones here in Target
Actually the Oreos didn’t fail. Some of them are still available in Canada. But I can say for sure that I’ve never seen the peanut butter one here..
Those weren't really failures, they were just temporarily available.
They still sell most of those! They are at Publix here in Florida.
They are still for sale, they just sucked
How are those Oreo flavors failures? I can go and find peanut butter oreos and red velvet oreos (which are awesome btw) in the store right now.
I guess they don't get the concept of limited special items and core items
the peanut butter oreo sells pretty well where i live
I had one of the Sound-burgers. Changing the needle was easy, the top cover popped off giving access to the cartridge and needle
Ahh a museum dedicated to the entire state of California
David Fellows museum dedicated to the planet earth a failure but mostly harmless carry a gager counter don't stay too long
C R I Z L A America is a great success story as long as it holds to its ideals
Adam you look healthy, with great hair and beard. I’m just saying there must have been a change from your older videos. I’m happy for you. Also I do enjoy the softer intro without the theme song, this is coming from a long time viewer. Your commentary is smarter and funnier. You have progressed big time! Also those Oreo flavors sound so good.
A lot of these aren't even failures. Selling your company isn't a failure..etc.
So Glad you’re doing Vlogs again Adam
The whole state of california should be in that museum. Along with its constituents.
Aww man, ya beat me to it ! Good on ya.
California now has theworld's 5th largesteconomy. California's economy has surpassed that of the United Kingdom to become theworld's fifth largest, according to new federal data made public Friday.California's gross domestic product rose by $127 billion from 2016 to 2017, surpassing $2.7 trillion.
3:41. They did NOT fail. They were never meant to be in long term production. They were temporary "Limited Time Only!" flavors.
"Museum of Failure". Sounds like that should be Mexifornia's new catch phrase. Put it on a billboard out in the NV desert as you cross into the state!!
hey, i actually helped (in an odd way) this museum get their virtual boy! i had been interested in this project since it started in sweden, and i emailed before their launch. they didn’t have one yet, but my email prompted the curator to check ebay and he found one at a decent price! i think i still have the email exchange. it’s only a little thing, but this popped up in my feed and i was reminded of how i helped in a very small way.
Did you find the democratic party in there?
@ScienceFraction I bet the term "brown people" and rhetoric come out with everything you say.
Do they not have those Oreo flavours in the States? Most of those are readily available here in Canada.
To bad they can't fit the entire city in there.
Too
was blockbuster really a failure? it was around for 35 years all over the U.S. and Canada
The whole museum should just be a picture of LA.
That's what I figured too
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump a little too much Truth for you there Vladimir! You go away snowflake!
The city is actually pretty successful, if anything the rust belt or some parts of the south should be highlighted
What about the Lazer disc player with the record size DVDs
Where's the picture of Hillary?
Some failures are just to big - even for this museum. 😀
What was the model of the Delorean back to the future car doing there?
