The Trakker / Aqua company love their premium prices but don't like delivering premium quality to their customers as this would reduce their massive mark-up. It's stupid money for a Bivvy. This thing will also need some sort of cap / wrap as the condensation will be off the charts. So add another 200-300 quid to the overall price. Look elsewhere.
Really makes me laugh when they harp on about quality products and corners not being cut, bla, bla. Aqua was only Aqua when chris Manifold owned it, end of story. The materials and tape never perished or feel off his bivies. Almost 20 years i used a mk1 armo and the tape is still firmly attached, bomb proof they were.
New to all this some helpful info 👍 looking for. Quick effect bivvy , I looked at the ridge monkey escape but it’s just to big . Be great full of any info thanks. Oh if poss built in ground sheet
To quote hydrostat head numbers as high then state breathability also high is a contradiction. Hydro head doesn't measure breathability but to score high on HH the fabric by nature will not be porous and therefore not breathable.
Lads. Ian, Curley & Luke. C'mon guys. You all do a great job with the cameras / editing / vids, and it's your job to promote stuff... but seriously try find a balance with these adverts. It's getting to a stage where I [ and many others ] don't want to watch any CARPology vids anymore because it's all complete nonsense. Surely you can be somewhat honest even if the manufacturer is paying for the Ad. The Guitar reviewers do it all the time when they are sent free stuff for paid reviews. This advert for Aqua's Ultralite is a complete load of carp. A Bivvy System around 5 Kilo? Firstly a bivvy system means a complete system including infill, groundsheet and pegs. Any bivvy on the market will come in around 5 kilo if you strip everything out and just weigh the skeleton main-frame. You guys are better than this.
Never say anything about the bad side of a product in any video. So you don't get an honest review. Always used to buy aqua stuff which lasted. Had a couple of new bits of luggage and the zips are really poor quality did not last six months a known fault apparently. Living on there old reputation to charge mad money.
@@joecotter9014 I woulnd't call their videos reviews. Often, from what I've gathered, they have the products just long enough to make a video about it, so besides the very big things one would notice straight away, they cant properly test what they've been sent. And of course there's that bias of not saying bad things in fear of not being sent anything at all in the future. I like their videos for what they are: quick presentation of new products. If I see something that interests me I'll check out proper reviews, often from people who have bought the thing with their own money, if I can find it
Agree watch it to see the products don't take too much notice of what they say due to everything being brilliant. I guess if they were honest they would not get any products to review from the manufacturer.
It's like we listen to the video and have to work out the bullshit from the reality 😂 great information but not quite reality is it - looks and sounds great but is it really..
Do love the Aqua stuff. I still use my Aqua M3 that is over 15 years old and still going strong the only thing that lets it down is the fact no air vents in the back as it's that old they didn't have them when this one was made. Awesome bivvy's made well and last for years. The downside for Aqua is they last so it means I won't be buying anymore until mine fails me. Which could be many more years by the looks of how good mine still is.😜😜
Guarantee the new ones won't last as long as the older stuff. Mate has a 15 year old trakker bivvy like the original aqua quality is far, better than the new stuff.
"Compact pack down" the bag is over 6ft long... about time Carpology did honest reviews not just a sales channel for products that don't sell, Pioneer is a crap design, pack down size is huge, it's not self standing like the Tempest, everything is an optional extra and Aqua customer services is horrible
@@MudPigChaser no aqua was a very small company originally think there is a company called cipher that owns trakker that said company also purchased aqua and cygnet so owns all 3

So its basically 13 kg? Wouldn't call that ultra light..
tbh...it's not light at all, and it's really long..but it is really good... on sale now, £480 with the scull cap
Still manufactured in the same factory as cyprious and trakker. Overpriced IMO.
Trakker is owned by Aqua…well, all the same group.

don't forget to get the scull cap and watch your £800+ kite take off and land in the lake 😂😂
What happened to aqua atom rods?

Nice to see someone being critical without being an a**hole or negative 👍

Does it come with a mortgage?

I'm 6ft3 will I be able to sit upright on a bed in it?
Yes easily, im 6f2 and have loads of head room above me, its massive.
@@YourTubeGuru yeah I went and got one. Best I could see on the market for the price

even tho trakker own Aqua , Aqua bivvies are loads better quality
I pretty sure it’s the other way around. Aqua group own Trakker & Cygnet

£850 for a “super light” bivvy piss off. If you want a cheap light fast shelter. Esp low pro is the one you want. Or a nash hide or a tempest brolly
Would you buy one if you didnt get them for free or ‘trade price’ ??? Not everyone can’t budget for that price at these times
£800 not a chance
No such thing as a bad or even balanced review with carpology is there? Just a promo ad. Again and again.
Sexy looking bivvy 😎
