a very good review Joe 👍, it's good to see all them top features built in and I bet as usual you can feel the quality of it being solar, its not expensive on par with other brands, Solar is a renowned company of making gear that lasts and always does exactly as it says on the tin, ATB
    tight lines and wet nets

I own the spider compact now for a year. Bought the complete set as showmodel for €250,- (mozzy, infill and groundsheet).
Love it! Quick and easy set up.
Only ... A lot of pegging points and the solartex stays a lot longer wet than the Tempest 100t that a friend of mine has.
    Currently doubting to buy overwrap.

I've had this bivvy for over a now, it's the best bivvy I've ever had, simple to put up, 30's is standard to put it up once you get used to it, I use a Nash ss3 sleep system but that don't touch the sides and I never use the storm poles there not needed.

I've had a Titan Hide Camo Pro with front infill panel, mozzy front and groundsheet for 18 months and apart from the height it's a great piece of kit.
This is basically Solar's copy of that but with a higher peak and some really well thought out and useful improvements!
The infill panel is better as it has a mesh door whereas the Titan Hide infill is solid, the mozzy mesh front is better as it has the magnetic door opening and the groundsheet is better quality and can be be zipped in.
The adjustable pegging points would be very useful at my lake as the swims aren't all level due to tree roots etc.
Put the Nash Camo on it and I'd definitely buy one!!

There are some great features on the bivvy, however, If you are going to spend that much money on a bivvy, you simply buy a Trakker Tempest EV. Far better in quality material, (the best you can get) it comes with all the front panel and ground sheet, so you could probably get a 100EV for around the same price. The advantage this has is the head height but, that is lost in the foot print. No I don't work for Trakker or any other manufacturer, Ive just had a few bivvys over the years and whats always failed me is the material. A golden rule to keep you protected is to get the best waterproofing material. I recently bought a Nash Camo Hide, for single night sessions. Brilliantly fast to erect and great for one nighters but, I used it 3 times and got caught in heavy rain... They fail, and are just rubbish!! I sold it. This looks exactly the same material TBH. I bought the Trakker as I had had the older models Armo's, which were brilliant and water tight. The Tempest goes up in around 30-40 seconds (which was why I wanted a new bivvy in the first place) and is rock solid and water tight.... I do not think I will ever have to buy another bivvy again.
Its healthy that there is good alternatives on the market, I just find it a bit annoying that they compensate on the fundamental purpose of a bivvy, which is to protect you in extreme weather. Using lightweight material kind of kills the purpose....
Great bivvy but, not at that price.

So refreshing to hear a positive for todays Trekker Bivvys, as they tent to get slated on ever video as yet another over prices diluted brand, trading on the reputation of yesteryear, with awful customer service, who don't even honour warranty weeks after purchase.
