Yes I bought the machine a while back, after figuring out the iron block was not heavy enough to do the job it took a lot of trial and errors to find something that was heavy enough to do the job but would also pack away with the machine. I ended up getting some large square washers from the hardware store that were about 2” square, I think I ended up getting 8 of them. Depending on the fabric going through the machine this will determine how many washers I place on top of the iron block. I don’t wind the tape around the supplied cylinder it makes the fabric feed through wonky. I just place a basket over the edge of the table so that the fabric stays off the floor and this works so much better. The cylinder I took out of the machine box and that’s where I sit the square washers.
You are a great teacher, and your way of explaining makes it make so much more sense to me. I have tried and tried to do this the other way, but I never could really make it work very well. This method not only is easier, but also allows for absolutely minimal handling of the bias edge. I always got in trouble because of the bias edge stretching. I think I can do this without stretching the bias edge of the fabric! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow! I had no idea something like this existed! I could make bias tape all day with that handy automatic tape maker! Thankyou for such a thorough demo!
Your you tube tutorials were extremely helpful! Thank you! I’m wondering how to do the math to figure out what size square will yield what amount of bias? I need to make 340” (or 28.5ft) of bias tape for a project. What size square should I use to yield enough 2” bias?
The only concern I have about the machine is that I've seen videos that show it tends to stretch out the bias tape as it goes through, taking out all the wonderful flexibility and narrowing the tape. Perhaps this is user error. I'd love to hear your input on this!
OK, I agree, he sounds slow because he’s being very methodical. I would prefer a bit of a faster pace, but many people always complain that most of them are too fast But you certainly don’t have to leave that type of comment. Do you ever watch Vanessa of “The crafty Gemini? “ She speaks lightning fast maybe you should go over to that channel. And you can always go into the settings and change speed . There is a plethora of RUclips creators that will be more in sync with what you are looking for.
I suppose you're not stupid, but if you were a bit more clever you'd realize that in the Settings you can change the speed of the video. Perhaps that might help. 😁
I watched all four of these binding tutorials and learned so much! Thank you for such wonderful directions and demos!
Thank you for your kind comment.

You are too kind. Thank you so much.
All four parts are excellent. Thanks for the work you put into this series of videos.
Thank you so much!

Thankyou very helpful
I find it interesting that a fat quarter produces 12 feet and the 26 inch square produces 26 feet! Thank you for an interesting video.

I have not had that result. The bias tape seems just fine. Thank you for your comment
Can you use this method to make binding for knits or Jersey tshirts.
Yes
Thank you for the 4 very detailed bias tape tutorials. Very helpful 😊
You are welcome.
You should not have to hold down that part on the machine!
The only thing wrong and it is quite bad, is you are so slow. We are not stupid

Or maybe just do 10 sec skips..
You can’t please all of the people all of the time.
@@Sandrab769 true statement that’s why we have an extensive choice of RUclips channels to watch that would suit our needs 👍🏻👍🏻
