Thanks, Matt…I just purchased an identical Carnival last week and I love it! Your review is spot on. This is my first minivan, after coming out of every type and level of vehicle. It’s really nice! Perfect for road trip and car camping plans. No little ones to factor in any more, but it would be a great car for them. Too much piano black I agree, and there’s not enough storage cubbies for families with little ones, but perfect for me. Silky smooth handling and it looks great.

Thank you for a great video. We bought, actually ordered one in Medina Ohio Friday, for my 74th birthday. We preferred black interior, not orange. We had a GMC Van for 23 years that was, is a beast for tailgating, camping, hauling garden stuff. If not for rust, we would never replace it. I am very intimidated by all the computer, electronic, automated stuff, but trying to learn .

Got a very early 2024 Carnival SX Prestige at MSRE Ordered last march as a 2023, Received early MAY 2023 (10 Weeks) as a 2024. Got the optional trailer hitch at mud flaps in the 7 seat config. Love IT! Use High test gasoline, gain 3 MPG and smoothness you will appreciate. Not a single Rattle, very quiet, never a tire squeel when cornering hard or parking lot. They got the geometry down exactly. The leather is wonderful, the Bose Infotainment is superb! Getting 26 MPG at 75 on the highway.. 1950 RPM 8 th Gear OD2. Can't ask for more. Power is great, Trans is great. Two power Sunroofs! My last mini-van was a 2004, had two doors but the side door windows didn't roll down. These do! With all glass open, it's practically a convertible! The drivers aids including lane change warnings, cross traffic, and adaptive cruise control is very good. The lane assist is most useful on the interstate but fun to play with on less well marked roads. Full Power Recliner 2nd row seats!! Take a nap at a rest stop! The Cameras!! Wow.. nice stuff. Tjhe Screem! Phone App where you can see what the car cameras see and it's location by phone!! Just a gorgeous car, very classy in a mini-van! Toyota and Honda have some keeping up to do. I really didn't want the Hybrid or Turbo 4. The 3.5L has both direct and port injection so there is no intake valve carbon buildup issue. Just a gorgeous car, very classy in a mini-van! Not 100% sure but I would bet no.

Do what? The led lights may give out an impression that they are "flowing" but it is just the camera's frame rate.
what about garage program?
Homelink Mirror is standard on the SX Prestige.
So the 2024 sx doesn’t have wireless CarPlay?
None of the highest end models from Kia or Hyundai have wireless carplay or android auto. Only the base trims (go figure) but I read on some forums that they will be issuing an over the air software update and once updated it will have the wireless connection. It is not confirmed by Kia as of now.
How much weight can you put in the back ?
Total Payload rating for this vehicle is 1559 pounds ( that includes total cargo ad passenger weight)
The front seat has less storage for stuff than the odysee..... But better in most other ways.
Both great options. Carnival feels less like a minivan.
@@MattTheCarguy yeah in the process of pulling the trigger on carnival. All the tech features that are missing in the Honda were overwhelming
And the copious amounts of piano black. Touch points in at least the rear should be matte black. My wife and I drove a 2023 in the same specs a few months ago but our local Kia dealer was asking 5000 over MSRP so we declined. Once this market calms down we will take another look at the Carnival. In my opinion, this is a better value for families than a Telluride or Palisade, which we drove also.
@@matthewgeissinger2856 I am sure it depends on the area but I think times are changing. I talked to one dealer asking for a 3k mark up and asked for that to be removed and he laughed and said "they are going to sell if you don't want to pay fine." I talked to another one with a 1k markup and they removed it no problem.
Isn't 2024 supposed to be the hybrid?
Rumor has it that hybrid will start production in October but noone knows if it will be available in the U.S.
does the SX have a hitch hook up?
The one tested did not have it so not as standard equipment.
$500 dealer install option. Rated for 3500 Lbs. Got it on mine.. towed a small cargo trailer for 2400 miles. would do cruise control 8th gear, 2nd overdrive at 75MPH turning 1950 RPM when using 93 octane. With Regular, would only do overdrive 1 at 2200 RPM. She loves the good stuff.
