We were going back and forth between a Telluride. But after it was said and done Carnival just made more sense. We are a family of 5 plus we always visit my parents and having friends just jump in made the decision easy. Love the room and the front design makes look more like a big SUV than a van. Also it was cheaper!

The electronic warranty is only 3/36 reg warranty is 5/60 drive train is 10/100. So the digital display is not warrantied very long.

i'm blown away by Kia Carnival. I'm torn between Carnival and Cybertruck (early reservation holder). We currently have Odyssey as our primary family vehicle, and my wife has Model 3 that she and I never drive. For my rental business work, i have F-150. So i was leaning on replacing my F-150 with cybertruck, but now I'm thinking of replacing Odyssey and Model 3 with Carnival and Keeping my F-150. I do like the minimalistic interfaces of Tesla EV's but i'm old school and i much prefer the practicality of physical button controls and not having to wait for so many charges on long-distance travel. When we got the model 3 in 2019 it was definitely an eye candy for us and felt cool driving.... but now it's as common as Toyota camrys. And I'm thinking with Cybertruck backorder of 2million+, very soon it could be annoying to see on the road. Back to Kia, I can see our family enjoy many long road trips together on this Carnival!

The hybrid powertrain and interior has sold me on this Carnival.
The cybertruck is a toy to me.
Buy the cyber truck and sell it after getting it or better yet sell your reservation if possible and put it towards what you want
Tesla really needs to make a utility focused minivan that can double as a two-way chargeable whole home battery. The last unaddressed niche in their lineup. The cybertruck shows that they're willing to break their own mold to expand the lineup. More competition and trim innovation in the minivan space is sorely needed to revive public interest in the category.
Definitely gonna get this car when we get back in the states.

Switching between infotainment and climate isn’t a big deal. Once you set everything up, your only going to be using apple or android CarPlay and the controls on your wheel anyways so you can leave it at climate 95% of the time

The couple blanks next to the heated and ventilated seat buttons are 1. UV sterilizer and 2. Auto start stop button. Both offered in Korean models but not in US. So we’re not missing much imo

Do they make a commercial model just for utility work. It has the perfect layout for a auto detailing van or small cargo delivery van.
It would make a great work vehicle.
Kia has pledged to begin an EV fleet business. Not sure if they plan on rolling HEVs into the mix.

Never understood the war on gloss black/piano black. It does not necessarily collect smudges and prints. It really depends on the finish. I have electronics that show dirt and oils, BUT I have gloss black all over my kia interior. Its actually less of a problem with sudges, prints and scratches than plastic and soft touch. My wife's makeup gets imbedded in the materials they prefer and is tough to clean. Gloss black remains clean and can be wiped with your shirt!
I never thought I'd be considering a Kia but this van looks so good, has a hybrid engine, and those lounge chairs in the back look great, I can see a lot of people who take care of older adults going for this van.
Granted, I agree, why are car manufacturers such jerks as to use piano black? Haven't customers and reviewers complained enough that we want our A/C controls and our infotainment controls to be things we can do without looking, why have a system we have to look at? Some of us actually want to look at the road when we're driving.
Good thing I never plan to use the 3'rd row.
Wish I was hearing better things about the self-driving capabilities. Sounds like you can never relax with it.

I absolutely love KIA new HVAC system. You see why its popular for Gen Z buyers? They want something modern and fresh. Something that reminds them of a Tesla. Its a trend that is here to stay. But of course, you will have the older generation moan and groan about anything that feel way out the norm for them. And besides, its programmable where you can can set it with out toggling from volume to hvac controls.
I’m not against touchscreens…when they work. 😉
@GTGarageTalk But who's to say what KIA has done won't work? You just criticize it and didn't even give it a chance, even when other reviewers had told you repeatedly that the controls are programmable. You just don't like it because it's new technology. Like I stated before, it's an age demographic opinion.
The back end panel might be out set for better camera mounting and lighting of license plate?

Regarding the touch instead of physical buttons, that's the reason I got the Ioniq 5 vs the EV6. I hate the touch instead of physical buttons. Boo!!

No AWD option.....no care. Toyota Sienna can do it and is very successful.
Sienna does have some pretty sweet 2nd row seats.
@@GTGarageTalk yes the captain seats can slide very far back.
However you can't get any, and the price is sky high. Not to mention you can't remove the middle seats and the tech stack is hilariously outdated. AWD isn't even a game changer. Just know how to drive and get proper tires.
@@colear3 yes I agreed most of what you said.......I still preferred AWD and don't have to deal with changing tires every seasons. Place to storage the tires.....yes the info screen and the instrument cluster need update therefore a deal breaker for me. The non removable captain chairs is not a problem for me.
Maybe the case. But who is buying the Sienna? Majority of their customers are now middle-aged and senior citizens. Style-wise, the Sienna just doesn't appeal to the younger market, unless it matches what KIA is doing with the Carnival on the next redesign model year.
Chrysler Pacifica is better - more space and flexibility.

But the Pacifica has really poor reliability ratings
Chrysler is one of the worse for reliability, less features and is ugly
