@@rampageclover9788 ummm true on that.. but its still good to watch it through. Its better than watching some of the stuff that's on TV these days sadly.. but I've noticed not all the episodes are on here I'm missing a couple. Are you able to help me on this?
This really grabbed my heartstrings. I was relocated to school, tried to learn the flute, was bullied and spent breaks and lunchtimes in the toilet never having the courage to tell teachers or parents. (From Balham, in south London, my life began again in Norfolk). Now I am 83 with a fantastic life behind me: but the memory is still there.
Do not let the past be your future, I was the country girl who went into the city, hands held whilst being beaten. I am stronger now than I was then. I let the past become my future, I look back and am proud, the violence was a great tool to show, that I did not need it. God was with me all the way. Just to say, I saw my Predator/bully 20 years ago and she said sorry and looked like hell. So guess who won in the end? God Bless, Bryan.
It’s so nostalgic this series, brilliant able to watch it again as it’s hard to find. Thank you for uploading it. Poor Molly, those girls at her new school were so unnecessarily nasty and vicious. Luckily it does get better for the Addis family.
Warren Clark is a very actor and does his job very well And his misses another outstanding actor she has done a lot of All different kinda Comedy and all the rest,, Brilliant family they just look the part FairPlay to all of them,, These older programs are quality watching stuff,, The new program’s of today are to fake and not enough in them,, Any films from the 1990s Etc etc etc etc are brilliant and have good story lines and a lot more action in them ,,
Good series. Excellent actors - experienced veterans who can anchor any cast! As for the characters, you would think they'd hire someone even as a p/t consultant or foreman who's experienced in farming, to help them get settled in, establish the basics rather than just "winging it" and making wasteful, time consuming mistakes. And who leaves a newly bought, pregnant cow on their doorstep overnight, without food, water or shelter!? Unreal.
That's what I find it strange how it's ALWAYS every family for itself... how families never seem to team up even it it seems like there's plenty of room. But I guess that's human nature...communes never seem to work out well in the end....and even some families..
46:35 Look carefully out the window (as the others chat at the table) Brian (the father) is knocked over by sheep, as they run a muck & he looses control of them.
Sadly children need to be told how NOT to behave. OR need to be treated the way they treat others......they will learn quick. This behavior really does come naturally to children...especially if they have been bullied themselves... or even if not. Because monkey see monkey do.
Omg I can’t stand that! the whole helicopter bollocks…and they had the nerve to continue the show twice with a new cast. I’d love to know the backstory behind that coz I highly doubt it was the part of the plan. This show would have easily ran a decade with the original cast, Pauline Quirke and Warren Clarke would have become as recognised for this as they were for Birds and Clockwork…
Why do they have to have so many animals? I thought he was going to grow flowers. He had to have a cow RIGHT AWAY, though they knew nothing about cows. They now have pigs, sheep, etc., etc. They got free lambs but he bought sheep. There were already chickens living there when they bought the place, yet they wanted to buy more. The former farm owners went bust on their pig farm, but these folks think they can sell pigs. These animals require care - time, effort, and money. Is this fulfilling some fairy tale picture of a farm? Are they budding animal hoarders? Dumb.
Its definitely one of the best early 2000s TV programs around back then
Should have gone on for 8-10 years with that original cast. Would have been massive. Appalling how they continued on with a totally different cast

Some of the script/dialogue insults your intelligence though. Is it a children's tv show?

Living on a farm and taking care of so many animals means much heavy work. Much more than any kind of work in a city.
Wonderful show, Warren Clarrke and the rest do a great job. A bit of light drama during Covid isolation, Feb.2021.
Early 2000’s nostalgia 💖

Wow, some day that poor little girl is having. Sad that the sweetest, most vulnerable member of the family is the one who’s most often ignored.

Sadly children need to be told how NOT to behave.

Its just a Fantasy series really simple entertainment and just nice to watch for a couple of hours after Brexit they will go bust anyway lol
I know they’re just kids but the acting from the young school girls in this episode is terrible.
In my experience, young children can be pretty terrible - much as depicted.
Nonsensical rubbish!!!!! I tried I really did try to watch it!!!
