I love it to and he did live in California for a while so that Probally helped to. And it make since Estonia would be part of Russia/Soviet Union if not. Cause while the USA has done bad things I think people underaged the good we do. I think if you put a chart of bad vs good we have done during Pax American we would be surprised on how much more good the USA has done. Good Americans forget about because we’re so focoused on are errors that we think were bad. But compare it vs Pax Briticana or other superpowers that ruled the world were angels. @@crippleabatteries5031 Sadly, that would mean that we need to stop trying to erase it. People forget that 'bad' history is STILL history and instead of learning from it they want to try and erase it, which... in the future will do exactly as you say. There will be the desire to repeat it.
Has it always been good? Absolutely not. Can we get better? Absolutely. However, comparatively, the United States affords a lot of things that other countries simply do not and people have a tendency to take that for granted. Having served in the military for 10 years and having been/fought in various other countries I can say that with 100% certainty. Even with our faults (And yes we do have them) there's nowhere in the world I would rather live.

They also do destructive testing, by taking components to failure to confirm their calculations. The machine knows the limits better than the pilot does. Modern US fighters (gen 4 and 5) already limit the controls to prevent pilots from exceeding limitations of the aircraft. In fact, modern US fighter pilots have lost the Feel for the aircraft like old school pilots who never had fly-by-wire. These new pilots are getting to the point of just telling the aircraft what to do with no regard for limits and the aircraft does what it needs to to make it happen without exceeding limits.

Yes the U.S won't sell the F22 to other countries.
But Lockheed Martin corporation have already team up with Mitsubishi heavy industry to help Japan built their own versions.
Of course this have anger the U.S Federal Government and have come after Lockheed Martin Corporation for it. But the Federal can't do noting about it since Lockheed Corporation did noting wrong.
Their not selling F22 to japan but is helping Japan to make their own F22 IS A LOOP HOLE.
So why is Lockheed Martin doing such thing. Is because even though Japan have buy some small amount of F35 from Lockheed Martin.
Japan had made it clear that what they really wanted was the F22 and not the F35.
And under the Federal law Lockheed Martin can't sell F22 to Japan.
So instead Lockheed Martin will help Japan Mitsubishi heavy industry to make a copy f22 version and shear the technology to japan for money.
Lockheed Martin corporation also need profit for themselves and the U.S Federal was in their way.
When the U.S Federal government found out about it the U.S did try to begin sales of F22 to japan but by that time it was to late.

The new 6th gen fighter for the US is the Boeing F/A-XX. The F22 can also strike ground targets, the F-35 has something called a DAS(AN/AAQ-37) which allows it to see through the plane, see ground targets, see where ballistic missiles and other missiles are launched from, etc. Insane technology which is better then the F22s, but that's the only area the F35 does better.
"The F-35’s Distributed Aperture System (DAS), developed by Northrop Grumman, is the only 360-degree, spherical situational awareness system. The DAS sends high resolution real-time imagery to the pilot’s helmet from six infrared cameras mounted around the aircraft, allowing pilots to see the environment around them - day or night - without loss of quality or clarity. With the ability to detect and track approaching aircraft from any angle, the DAS also greatly reduces the potential for mid-air collisions and virtually eliminates surprises."

I'd imagine the big problem with battery powered aircraft is gonna be weight and charge capacity. With the advent of solid state batteries, though, maybe battery-powered aircraft are not too far away. I can't picture them being all that fast, but they could perhaps loiter at lower speeds, riding air currents and updrafts to stay aloft with minimal power usage. Combine solar panels on the top side, and that time could be extended as the sun supplements the battery charge. Probably wouldn't be able to achieve full charge, but it might squeeze out a couple extra hours, maybe even a day of flight, depending on energy usage. Could also be a hybrid, with electric motors for low speed loitering, and then conventional thrusters for combat.

How about some cultural stuff for exchange: ´Traditional Crafts of Finland - Episode 1 - Puukko Knife Making´, its about puukko knives which are a really important piece of Finnish culture and history, the ones shown in this video are the style of knives made in western Finland in town called Kauhava, the design of the knives have stayed the same for centuries and a knife is deeply respected piece of art in Finland.
The video shows an old knife master making the knife from beginning to end.
The knife is also part of the traditional clothing of Härmä region and it belongs on the belt of a male with the suit (google: Härmä kansallispuku)

I like the concept of a maned fighter having one or more unmanned "wingman" drones flying along with it and connected to the main fighter by data links. The possibilities are intriguing such as acting as scouts flying ahead, protecting the rear, flying over as cover, confusing enemy radars as to which one is the "real" fighter, flying close together so as to appear as one target on enemy radar then splitting apart at the opportune time, etc. The possibilities are many and intriguing!

The thing with puttting a railgun on it is railguns need so much electricity that if you put one on an aircraft carrier, the carrier would have to temporarily shut down everything so it would have enough electricity to shoot properly, so......
Obviously it depends on the railgun used, the ones I am referring to here are the future naval electromagnetic railguns.

A real advantage of unmanned fighter aircraft is that the operational envelope can be expanded. An aircraft can experience more Gs if one doesn't have to worry about hurting the pilot or causing the pilot to pass out.

You can break down the Generations of Jet Fighters something like this...
1st Gen: Post WWII to Korean War era (1950-1953)
2nd Gen: Post Korean War to early Vietnam era (1965)
    3rd Gen: Vietnam era (1965 to 1975)
    4th Gen: 1980s to 2000s.
    4th Gen+ : 2000s to present day.
5th Gen: 2000s to present day. (Stealth tech.
I'm a big fan of the new F-15EX, the Gen4+ fighter that has an updated airframe and all new digital cockpit. Instead of a couple small digital displays, it has a single large horizontal digital screen that can be configured anyway the pilot likes it.

Good thing about drones is that there is no pilot to worry about passing out from over G's therefor it will be able to pull more G's in a turn and fly higher than 50,000 feet without putting a pilot in harms way.

Wouldn't surprise me if we (the US) field a 6th gen fighter with at least one laser canon (which we've already fielded and successfully used to shoot down missiles) that's been scaled down, it may have orbital capability (perhaps with the ability to skip along the atmosphere for extreme high speed long range strikes), possibly an active camouflage system of some sort, and the ability to utilize A.I. to remotely hack the computer systems of other aircraft and/or ground targets. Could have all, or a combination of these things.

UAVs have a massive maneuverability advantage as well as extended mission time. No pilot means the only G limit is what the airframe will handle.

  • @absolutezero6423

There are many advantages to unmanned fighters. They can be smaller and faster and lighter without a pilot. The operator is not in danger of getting killed or captured by the enemy. Without a pilot the fighter is capable of turning at G forces that would cause a human to blackout or even die in extreme turns. They can be built cheaper too without the need of a cockpit.

They can be shot out of a shipping container by rocket and land vertically via parachute, not needing a runway, make ng them ideal for taking off from the decks of ships to support the Marine and Army landing ships.
