Great effort, what a trail and roaster day 🥵. You’re right about Andrew McT and his mountain skills, wish I could do those back wheel hops to get around switchbacks.
Ill add this one to the list! thanks for all the effort uou put into these videos, they're amazing and certainly help me and the wife out wheb planning our yearly Scotland mtb holiday 😊 appreciate you dude.
What an adventure! Incredible.. This is definitely on the list. Thank you so much for sharing. 4 hour climbing/hike a bike sounds full on and the descent looks like it needs to be respected for sure. Can’t beat a swim after a hot ride! EPIC 🙌
Fair play mate, that looked an awesome and epic day out, thanks for bringing us along, loving those drone shots 😍. That descent looked physically and mentally tiring in equal parts, proper job 👍
Always a great watch. A stunning presentation Jamie with some awesome drone shots pal. I must do Ben Lomond before I get really old. Is it possible to get a heavy EMTB up or should I do it on my normal MTB. I did Carn Liath on my heavy EMTB but getting to the summit was a wee bit of a nightmare. I just love the look on people's facing thinking "nutters" The plateau section looks nice to ride. Mmmmmm. Just watched until the end. Not sure about riding that. Well ridden. Nice finish in the Loch. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠
Cheers Stoozer. I think that route could be good on an eeb. There would be a bit of manhandling, but you'd also find so many rideable bits. Just bought an eeb so may give it a go 👍
Awesome effort in that weather. Stunning scenery and great riding. I think it would be a wasted 4 hour climb for me to walk back down again😂. Great video.
Great video as always, well done on a tough ride! I've hiked it in August, not easy and it was just before I got into MTB so wasn't thinking about what it'd be like to ride like I do on many if my hikes now! Goes to show what a tough undertaking it really would be for a less experienced MTBer like myself. Having seen Scotty Laughland and McTrail Riders edits too this brings it down to earth. I like seeing the bits you need to walk down, further perspective and expectation of the whole route.
Cheers buddy. Yeah, mountains are incredibly tough days out on the bike. Munro walking is challenging, especially when you have to shoulder a bike. So by the time you start descending you are already pretty tired. Not to be underestimated 🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video buddy.
Nice vid thanks for sharing. Question for you on the drone footage what do you do with the controller while your riding with active track? I assume its in your bag, no issues with controls being hit while riding?
Yup, it's in the outside pocket on my back pack. No issues so long as nothing can press the top buttons. If I put it inside the pack it's another story. Doesn't work at all 🤦♂️
Absolutely cracking video, stunning views and what a trial. That big climb was worth all that effort, nicely done👌. I’m hoping to get more big mountain rides on my channel and hopefully be up in Scotland beginning of July, so planning where I’m gonna be riding and this is a top contender, thanks for putting the idea in my head 😁 stay safe and shred well dude 🤜🤛
I did this on an Orbea rise e-mtb and even with the motor it’s a very tough ascent and the hike a bike sections even heavier! Don’t underestimate the climb. I descended in 28.40 could have been quite a bit quicker but there were by then a lot of hikers. And on that note, speaking to a number of walkers/hikers a lot didn’t make the summit! The descent is soooo chunky and technical picking a line and rock hops. This was a truly great ride to tick off the list.
The sun shone just like that the day I rode this, until a storm rolled in, then a lightning strike from the bowls of hell ricocheted off the lock, visible in my peripheral vision audible on my camera! Possibly the most aggressive act of nature I’ve ever witnessed.
Brilliant video mate, thanks. A big long travel burley ebike would've helped both up and down the way there for sure. Amazing effort in that weather aswell. I've done it twice and still never had a view because of the mist 🤣👍
@@streetpigeonmtbAye mate, once. 170/180mm travel soaks it up nicely. Topped out in about 2 hours. Did it on a trail bike as well and arms were dead after it. Still a fair bit hike a bike on emtbs aswell mind but much faster in general.👍
Word of warning for anyone having a wee break and sit down on the grass up this trail is check for ticks. I went up a few years ago and stopped for something to eat where you did at 2min in, ended up having to pull about 30 of them off me!!
Great effort, what a trail and roaster day 🥵. You’re right about Andrew McT and his mountain skills, wish I could do those back wheel hops to get around switchbacks.
Yup! Me too! He has the skills!
Phenomenal clip stunning landscape and n epic ride. You deceived the bath in the loch! Thanks for this great adventure!
The ride was so good. I'll never forget the relief of the cool water after being so hot for so long! Thanks buddy.
Stunning Scenery!
It is so beautiful 😍
Ill add this one to the list! thanks for all the effort uou put into these videos, they're amazing and certainly help me and the wife out wheb planning our yearly Scotland mtb holiday 😊 appreciate you dude.
No bother at all mate. Thanks so much for the positivity. Makes the effort totally worth it 👌
Andrew is a good rider with brilliant videos but your contents is awesome also, fair play to ya what an awesome ride. Keep it coming
Thanks Charlie. Really appreciate that 🙏
What an adventure! Incredible..

Yeah, I found the climb pretty difficult. To be fair the heat made it challenging. The swim after was unreal though. Absolutely loved it 👌
@@streetpigeonmtbIm the same in the heat, it cooks my noodle 🥵🤣
What a mammoth descent Jamie! And if I'm not mistaken, I believe I heard a bit of love for junky rock coming from your direction 😉 Awesome!
Ha ha! I do enjoy some minor chunk. Not the big stuff though 🙈😂🙈😂
Fair play mate, that looked an awesome and epic day out, thanks for bringing us along, loving those drone shots 😍. That descent looked physically and mentally tiring in equal parts, proper job 👍
Thanks buddy. My pleasure!
Looks like a great day! What a massive descent! And great finish. Looking forward to summer!
Thanks man. Can't wait for good weather to return 😌

Amazing video, what a ride. The techy bits look like dolly wagon off Helvellyn
Cheers man. Yeah, I remember Helvellyn being chunky!
Another slick production. Superb
Thanks mate. A fun one to edit 👍👌
Brilliant stuff, that swim afterwards was well deserved. On my to ride list well done mate😊
Thanks Peter. The dip certainly rounded off the day nicely. A much needed cool down! Enjoy when you get there 👍
Awesome effort in that weather. Stunning scenery and great riding. I think it would be a wasted 4 hour climb for me to walk back down again😂. Great video.
😂 Cheers buddy 👍
Great video...and you guys did a really good job on the riding front...well done 👍👍
Thanks Trevor. Appreciate that 👍
Brilliant vid - really enjoyed that 🔥
That's awesome to hear. Really appreciate you leaving a positive comment 👌

Can’t wait to get this weather back again! I’ve seriously had enough of the mud lol
This winter has been terrible. It basically rained since I filmed this video 😂
Nice vid thanks for sharing. Question for you on the drone footage what do you do with the controller while your riding with active track? I assume its in your bag, no issues with controls being hit while riding?

Thanks so much for the positivity. The mountain rides are as brutal as they are rewarding 👌
Id never be able to ride it but it looks amazing so maybe one day I’ll be able to walk it
TBF it's a great walk... And then you don't have to lug a bike up the hill 😫

Well done buddy. Yeah, the climbs on munros are always brutal. Not found an easy one yet!

@onestepcloser7071 nice. 2 hours to the top is pretty impressive for sure!
How long was the decent
Just over 6 kilometres 👍
that looked tough, but well worth the effort.
Thanks buddy. A good day out for sure 😌
Must do at some point. Imagine if Scotland had that weather more frequently.?! (It'd be too busy)
Yeah, you are right. It would be mobbed!

Ooft! That sucks. I am a bit of tick-magnet so sounds like I was lucky this time! Cheers for the heads up 👍
Epic m8
Cheers buddy 👍
That’s soooo chunky in places!
It really was. Much chunkier than I was expecting from other videos I'd seen 🙈
That would be very interesting if you came back when there was some ice and snow on the track. Just saying. 😃
🙈🙈🙈
SLING IT! 😂
Is that another version of 'send it'?
@@streetpigeonmtb yes 🙌
😁👌
Beta vid bruv. Great trail n defo very tech lol
Glad you enjoyed it buddy! 👌
@@streetpigeonmtb very tough for sure but did gd dude id prob jat wait dwn at bottom lol oj
see if you didn't stop all the time to video you'd have been quicker than 4 hours up.
😂 Not much quicker. She was a brut and it was really hot 🙈
