- Hello everyone.
I have decided to post my last video of 2021 about a serious topic. To most people, the end of a year & the beginning of a new one is a joyous moment; it is about looking back on their achievements and looking forward to what the new year has to bring. For others, a new year means another long year of fighting a tough battle against their own suicidal thoughts and depression. They could be your lover, your family, your colleague, your student... anyone. We should never take anyone's presence in our life for granted because you really don't know how much they are suffering and how hard they are trying to stay alive. This is why I decided to write this song: "I'm Proud Of You". I want to make those with suicidal thoughts feel heard and seen - I want them to know that I know how much they are fighting. If you are one of them, I am so proud of you for getting through this year - you being alive and starting the next year with us is already such a huge accomplishment. You are so, so strong and you don't deserve to be told otherwise.
I really hope more people understand how much of a big deal it is when people choose not to end their own lives. We should not ever take it for granted. So with that being said, if you changed your mind this year about ending your own life, thank you so much for staying with us. I promise you, your pain will not go on forever. I am sending you so much love from the bottom of my heart❤️
