Do you use it with a dummy battery or just through usb c camera port, because I try it now with the zve10 without the adapter shown in this video and it shows that it’s being powered with a cable but the battery still dies even while plugged in

If you tell me no you have to use USB cable....then Sony is still in 90's.... I bought the body and sigma lens from Henry's and two weeks later got the Body but not lens. So can't test it yet. Thanks.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that’s bad man. I love ❤️ my GoPro. It also creates auto video with music. And the data transfer is seamless at 4K. Now I don’t like Sony. How can I transfer videos to my iPad?
@@realtorroshan You can use the Sony app if you’d like. But The Sony is a real camera. It’s meant to be used for good quality and put into an editor to make professional looking footage. Gopro makes some quick and easy movies for you with music, but these aren’t things that camera do. They aren’t made to be used like that and people who buy cameras for quality want control over their footage. I edit on my iPad sometimes, but I use an SD card reader to transfer my files from my SD card to my iPad. When you learn to use your camera and edit well yourself, you will see the advantages of the Zv-E10 over a phone or GoPro.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis No I get that. I am definitely not a pro cinematographer and definitely not intended for whole editing experience. Otherwise this would not be my camera. I want to be like a semi-pro level. Graduating from GoPro and iPhone. And make some good video. I use Filmora for iMac and Filmora Go for iPad and iPhone editing. Not being able to transfer data from camera to even iMac wirelessly is like still writing cheques to pay for stuffs when there is online banking, eTransfer, Interact. If you know what I mean. Well, as soon as my Sigma lens is here I can play around with it and see if I want to keep it. Thanks for the replies.
@@realtorroshan Yes - check it out for sure. But you can transfer your files wirelessly to either your Mac or your iPad. Just use the Imaging Edge App from Sony that is intended for the camera.
Does anyone else get a low humming nosie in their audio when recroding with the ZVE-10 plugged in via USB-C? When the camera isn't plugged in and is just running off the battery there is no humming, but immediately when I plug it in I get the humming noise. I record in a studio set up so leaving the camera plugged in while filming is ideal for me and was wondering if there was a way to solve this without buying extra batteries.
Would love to win one of those devices! Sending you lots of Love and Light Brother! I followed you on both and I am also very new to RUclips/IG/Twitter hahaha!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis you can include the topic: how to update Sony camera firmware. Good for the #FlossyCarter people (aka people who don't read instructions 😁)
Well, you convinced me. I actually have a couple similar accessories to this one. But, this ZGCine version is more versatile with the additional ins and outs...puts...thingies....ya know. I'm trying to control myself by limiting my purchases to stuff for my Sony A7iv - coming soon, dammit - but, this is a no brainer. Thanks, MBCC.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Exactly what I was thinking. Almost there for the A7iv. Of course, I'm part of a A7iv group on FB so I'm seeing a lot of folks in Europe posting pictures of their *new* A7iv's. I can't stop drooling. I have to wear a bib at work all day. @@MarkBennettCameraCrisis you need to do a video solely going over how to use zebras, i saw a lot of conflicting videos today and im so lost now. And I trust your videos so I would like to see one from you when you get a chance.
@@slyfox8900 Best thing to do is set zebras to 100 and then anything that has a zebra means that info is lost (like the sky). Now, if you are using the leeming lut, you need to set the zebras as per the LeemingLUT instructions
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thats what i thought, but in photo mode this is a different story because of the extra data from photos, so even showing 100 zebras on screen doesnt mean you've lost that data, I wasnt sure if this applied to video as well but seems like it doesnt. Thanks for your help!!
If your zv-e10 is off - it will charge the battery inside. If plugged in it will lose about 10% battery an hour. If your battery is completely dead, you won’t be able to run the camera even plugged in to an external source. So, yes, you can unplug the battery, but you can’t let the zv-e10 run down past 10% or so
While I appreciate the utility of this extra battery life, I find it goes against the essence of what makes cameras like the ZVE10 so great: light and portable. I hate having to carry 3-4 small batts like the next guy, but it's still more convinient to have them in the bag than running around with an akward Frankenstein external power setup. Because at that point, size and portability is out the window, so might as well rig out a 'full camera' for the job. :). (That said, I still ended up buying one for one of my other cameras. lol)
That makes sense to me. I would be the same and only use this thing when I’ve rigged up the ZV-E10 for a long shoot, or maybe if I had to do a long stream. 👍
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I guess the other good use case would be if one has to plug in a camera, monitor and light all on one tripod. This one device could power them all. It would be easier to deal with charging one battery for all the devices. Kinda like having mini v-mount of sorts. :)

You can connect wireless to their app yes. but you only get jpegs and not saw photos of you transfer the files
Thanks for making awesome videos on the ZV-E10! I followed you on Twitter and Instagram. That power adapter looks useful. I would love to win one!
Would love to win one of those devices! Sending you lots of Love and Light Brother!
I followed you on both and I am also very new to RUclips/IG/Twitter hahaha!
Thanks!!
Will you make a video with new firmware update for ZV-E10 and a7c?
it’s really only animal eye focus in video, but I’ll be covering it,
.
Thanks, MBCC.
well the good news is that this will power your fancy A7iv just the same 😀
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Exactly what I was thinking. Almost there for the A7iv. Of course, I'm part of a A7iv group on FB so I'm seeing a lot of folks in Europe posting pictures of their *new* A7iv's. I can't stop drooling. I have to wear a bib at work all day. I'm getting those looks from my co-workers. But, who cares. Let 'em talk.
@@AllThingsFilm1 I’m so annoyed they get it a month before us in Canada - think of the views I could have - the VIEWS 🤣🤣
Followed on the tweeters and anygrams. Since you talked me into buying this ZV-E10 its only fitting you pay me back via giveaways. Hope i win! Thanks for the giveaway Mark. And congrats for becoming an official youtube legend. You are amongst the greats now.
Amongst the greats for sure 🤣🤣
@@slyfox8900 no - zebras work the same way in photos - if you see Zebras after you’ve set them to 100 - that detail is lost and cannot be recovered.
Been looking for a good dummy battery setup. What do you recommend?
any of the Sony np-fw50 dummy compatible batteries will work
Thanks Mark! Keep up the good work
Does it charge the battery in the sony zve10 so you dont have to keep the big batteries on the whole time?
@@ArifKhan. exactly. It’s my v-mount replacement. But it has to be a pocket light. Those big ones from Aperture and Godox will be too powerful
Cool accessories
Wew! Definitely want one!
dude, nice video... how about the dummies bat?
This is nice ❤️
What will you send us ??,,,,,
I want this camera
I really liked the previous video of Rig build
Hope I win this....
Where do i add a external monitor?
