My parents played "Always" at their wedding, and my husband and I played it for our wedding too. I sang it for him throughout his hospital stay and as he took his last breath. He died 3 years ago this month and every time I hear it I cry - haven't been able to sing it through since. I feel you. We were forever and always.
My grandma used to sing this to me at night, she got Alzheimer’s and didn’t remember me for 10 years, then on her deathbed grabbed my hand and whistles this song to me… crazy experience
My Mom used to sing this all the time, along with other Patsy Cline songs. I can remember even when I was about 4 yrs old. This song just caused tears. Makes me miss my Mom so much.

My Mom passed away December 22nd of 2020 and she was not only my confident but my true cheerleader through all my ups and downs and this song gives me comfort to here because I know she is in her own way still there for me ❤

I know because we bought a house in suburban New York, when I was a boy (c 1961), and I found in the attic many sheets of music composed by the former house owner for Irving Berlin. Nothing wrong with this--the ghost writer had no famous name to get published, and Berlin needed songs as he had a hungry outlet for his music.
