As a teen living somewhat close to bordering cities of SoCal in the 90s, My favorite Mexican snack growing up was a small cup of spicy liquid with 2 saladitos in it. It wasn't chamoy, I actually think it was something the ice cream person made themselves, tbh as I have never found that exact flavor ever again. But I will always remember those magic cups of spicy Chile liquid the ice cream man sold. 50 cents each.

Saw him live a couple of years later live. Dude slimmed a bit, but that's when he opened up about him getting diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes and that he HAD to lose a couple of pounds to stay alive. He said he went from Fluffy to Buffy there. Glad he made that light joke, but glad that he realized along the way that he has that potential to keep that success he ended up getting and deserves and that he needs to preserve as much health as he can so he can live for a long time. We Mexicans also have duvalines with strawberry. We have different combinations of the three flavors (not mixed). So here they just happened to get the one with vanilla and chocolate only.
