Talk about an angel! It would be the greatest of wrongs if anything ever happened to harm or hinder this child. I have said it before and will again. I would gladly give my life, to save hers, for all the peace and love that she will bring to this world in it's time of need.

Honestly? I'd sacrifice the past I have, (and I do cherish it) and become young and do it all again, just to have someone like her in my life. She's miraculous, and that's just her talent and skill. What little I've been able to learn of her life, via videos and interviews, leaves me ashamed to be the man I am. She's a prodigy, and no mistake. Such a feeling, to be loved like that. I know it's just an act, but she makes you believe it. Her Phrasing, breath, and even her grasp of rhythm and meter, are the stuff of legends. When she sang her arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody', she started a cappella, and without a single note. but she was EXACTLY on key. She has her Grandmother, a world-renown artist, for protection, but she wouldn't even sign the contract for AGT, because her parents didn't want her to be embroiled in all of that "stardom'. She goes to school, and has a normal life, when she's not astounding the world with videos and performances of an almost magical nature. I really would be a fan, were I younger,,, but since I'm too old to chase rainbows anymore, I'll just be a devotee.
When Angelina was 11-12 years old, her mother explained in an interview that only Angelina chooses the songs she sings and in the end only sings the songs as she imagines. When Angelina was very young, her mother wanted a children's song (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star). Angelina's answer "No, never". Maybe it's also a reason why Angelina has her own record label, ANGELINA JORDAN INC. Angelina and her team take the hard and rocky road but remain independent. ✌️😎💕🇩🇪🇪🇺
Albert Philippi She's not just a singer, she's a musician..I pray she stays independent..I think she will..she's certainly not motivated by money..she's loves music as a form of art..she knows that record labels will try and change her. She's not daft!!
I say this about too many of her videos, but.... this is another of my favorites. Some of her other Adele covers get more attention, but this one is just beautiful. As far as what the future holds for Angelina.... It's really hard to predict where she is going to go in her career, but what I do know is that I will be watching, listening, and supporting every step of the way.
I think this is in Egil's home. It looks that way by the numbers of guitars and other stuff in the background, and yes - he's a really lucky guy.
We should also be very thankful and show him our gratitude for all the hours he spent tutoring Angelina and stimulate her passion for music
Correct me, but, if you check out the recording "technician--(gentleman who was operating the recording equipment when she first heard her own voice at age 5 or 6) I think was him also. The viewer can "feel" the positive repore in that session also. What a professional friendship in creation.

I really enjoy your reaction videos of Angelina. The fact that most of her fans have seen her grow up & develop artistically, she is like family to me & I'm sure for many others. She has millions of people that want to protect her & I hate to think what would happen to anyone who tried to hurt her, financially, emotionally or physically.
If any person, or persons knowingly hurt Angie then a black car from new Jersey will pick them up, and they will never be heard from or seen again!

When Angelina sings about love I feel that it's not romantic love but the true love that is given without reservation or expectation of being returned. She clearly has a great relationship with Egil, since the very early days before Norway's got Talent.
The accompanying musicians are very lucky to play for her that's true but she's lucky too, she has been surrounded by super talented people her whole life. No wonder she has already learnt so much.
Yes Angelina's breath control is perfection.As you said she will use it for effect,for example Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT where she lets her outtake of breath highlight the emotions of the lyrics."Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth."This was definately done for emotional effect,not stress of the moment,as she also does it on her recorded single release.

Large record labels do not per default exploit new artists. I say there are three main scenarios.
1. A pop singer that is young, modern, sounds good, have the looks , but have no clue of in which direction he/she wants to go as an artist. Maybe he/she even got to where he/she is by accident. The label knows that they have to make hay while the sun shines. The record is often quickly put together, sometimes it is so hurried and hasty produced that it sounds awful, but that doesn't matter. Kids wants the record of their new idol. It may be exploitation, but more often both parts know the conditions.
2. A new artist that may grow and possibly be around for long, but doesn't have the experience to know what needs to be done in the studio. The outcome and success is highly dependent on the producers creativity and know-how. The producer makes most of the decisions.
3. A new artist that know exactly what he/she wants to do and what he/she wants to be now and in the future. It's my way or no way. In this case the producer has more of an supporting role. An example is when Clive Davis signed young Patti Smith to Arista, or when he signed young Bruce Springsteen, and Bruce played the demo tapes for Clive. Clive said "it's great, but you need a hit song". Bruce went down to the beach in the evening and wrote "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirit in the night". They become hit songs on his debut album "Greetings from Asbury Park", and the rest is history :)
I guess Angelina rejected offers for category 1 after Norway's Got Talent, have been in category 2 (It's Magic) and will be in category 3 for her real debut album :)

Your pride is fully justified. I live on the other side of the world and only know Angelina through her singing. through interviews she has done and what has been published about her in various media outlets. In my mind, I adopted Angelina as my great grand daughter when I first saw her on NGT, way back in 2014. She is a beacon of hope and sanity in the sad, sad, divided world.
Angelina has been offered countless record deals and so far, she and her parents/management have rejected all of them.
Since she's so young still I totally agree with you that this is the best choice for her.
She has her own label Angelina Jordan Inc. I can see that somewhere along the road she will sign with somebody but whichever company it is, her entourage will make sure she has the right amount of creative freedom to continue pursuing her career as she has envisioned it. :)
Made Laca, I totally agree, there are so many record labels waiting to sign her up that Uncle Michael (Manager) should be able to demand total artistic freedom & get it for Angelina, when the time comes. I'm not worried for her future.

Thanks for another good reaction. Her voice brings you into her world, A world of calm and comfort. She is just a joy to listen to. Appreciate your concern for Angelina, but I think, from what I've read, that she is well protected. She has her own recording company, Angelina Jordan. Inc. that will help to mitigate the industry pressures. There will undoubtedly be issues in the cutthroat environment of corporate America, but it seems that caring, concerned folks are aware of this. I'm just awaiting an album drop and eventual touring so I can experience more of this amazing artist.

Her mother in an interview, back when AJ was 11-12, explained that only she chooses the songs she sings and at the end only sings the songs as she imagines, one of the reasons of her own independent label and for which no Major label will not sign her or be retained (they refused to sing for Disney, Freemantle - Simon Cowell - at the beginning Sony helped a little bit but leave quite soon).

FYI She already has her own record label (Angelina Jordan, Inc.), and has published several things under this label. I love your use of the word "intoxicating" to describe her. Along with Howie's explanation that she is "hypnotic", that's my favorite description of her. And her breathe control is not pointed to enough (IMO). It is one of the most remarkable things about her talent. She displayed it several times in "The Show Must Go On", and as remarkable as it was, it never felt like she ran out of breathe. She appears to be reading the lyrics while singing this song, and that always takes a little away from the overall performance if you are watching. Close your eyes while listening, and the distraction disappears. I'm never concerned about her doing that, because she always allows us in to view her rehearsals, and when she's just fooling around and having fun. I don't need to only see the polished final product; I'd rather get to see it all. And she is very generous and confident enough to share everything. As always GW, your reactions to Angelina are of the best. 😊💕

She is so confident and comfortable with herself as a person, she is quite happy for us to see her "warts and all". I can think of no other entertainer or, indeed any other person in the public eye, who is as transparent as Angelina

Just thought of a second comment 😁. Imagine if Lionel Messi had documented his entire young football education, from first kicking a ball, to learning tricks, to playing in the streets, youth tournaments, everything he learned every achievement, until the moment he signed for Barcelona? Because that's what this is. We are privileged to be watching a genius grow and learn before she takes the world by storm. Remarkable really isn't it. It's like a real life Truman show but she is the one who is running it. She knows we're all watching. It's honestly fascinating. Unparalleled really.

I have been musically in love with Angelina since I heard her the first time on Norske Talenter (=Norways Got Talent) 7 years old i 2014. This time is the first time i´m not comfortable with her version of my favourite "To Make You Feel my Love". Her voice is as usually wonderfull, but she has made changes to the melody that I don´t like - and she misses/forgets som of the text. But that does´nt change my love. Angelina forever.

Love your enjoyment of doing Angelina's reactions. Angelina is a giver, so we shall see how she handles or her uncle and mother handle her future. I am grateful that she is independent and hopefully stays that way. I also enjoy watching her getting into a song so when she has to look at lyrics it does take away from that. As I understand it Angelina now lives in Los Angeles where she is going to attend at a performing arts school for the next three years. I have also heard rumours that she had plans to make a jazz record in New York in the spring/summer of this year (presumably on her own label?), but that the Corona crisis put a stop to those plans, at least temporary. I am however not sure about these two things, and if any of you Angelina fans out there have contradicting information I would very much like to hear it. But having said that I hope they are true, because I think she would thrive in such a school. And as for cutting a "made in New York" jazz record, goodness gracious, don't we all wish that one to be true...
Do not believe Angelina or her family would accept any dollar amount for her. There may come a time when she will enter an arrangement to market her songs, but it will be on her terms.
The most poignant aspect of your reaction was not about Angelina's performance ( beautiful as always) but your reminder that she must be protected from the sharks of the industry.

Luce, i don't worry about her in Norway but she spends so much time away from home to pursue her musical dreams. At least she has her family with her.
Egil has been accompanying her since she was about six which is one reason why they do so well together.
Not the best of her songs, I love her to pieces, but I would not do her justice if I was blind to things I (no music expert, just a music lover) felt were off. Some of here arrangements in this song were not crisp and almost made me feel she lost her spot. That being said, her voice and emotion is still impecable. I have to say, I have learned more about obscure up and coming artists, or artists in genres and countries I never explored since I started following Angelina. She is so open to including these artists in her videos and allowing them to shine. Like the guitarist here, and Ivan Mendez the Spanish guitarist in other videos. Baby Fuzz, DTFX and others... what a humble and gracious musician.
It's interesting you mentioned S*NY record. Years prior dat label dropped Pentatonix from record deal after winning the Sing Off competition, stating they allegedly were not marketable. Now after 3 Grammy's, s"ny have dropped the acapella group that started the new wave......

She is often reading the lyrics off a piece of paper or from her phone and occasionally as in this cover it interferes a little bit with the delivery of the song and lyrics

Angelina appears to like taking on a wide range of songs. I get the impression she isn't bothering to learn the lyrics and probably only takes a short time preparing to sing each song. This is fine as far as I'm concerned because I just love hearing her sing just about anything. What amazes me is how she can read the words and sing with hardly any mistakes and still deliver the songs with such quality an feeling.

I love her performances but this one was a little jaw-bound from looking down and a little tentative on a few lyrics. Maybe the relaxed setting or just the years in the limelight at such a tender age intruded a bit. I know I’d be dead by now! Still, I’d rather watch and hear her than about anyone else. She’s such a gem, sweet, startlingly-talented and confident. Her covers are better than the originals.
