In today’s world where weirdos are called artists and noise is called music, Angelina Jordan rises to the top to remind us all what music is all about. Angelina doesn’t only perform for your ears and eyes, she performs for your heart and soul as well.
The guitarist is Steve Conte. A very talented musician, songwriter, producer, and singer. He collaborated with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno on many anime soundtracks. He posted Angelina’s performance on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

This song is one of Angelina's signature songs. It is the only one that I have seen her sing at every age including her most recent concert in summer 2019. The lyrics in her new song give some clues to her connection to this song (and the moon theme that runs throughout a lot of her work). This song was originally arranged for Frank Sinatra by Quincy Jones, and in 2018 Angelina had the great honor of singing this song for Quincy at his 85th birthday celebration in London. An experience she later described as the highlight of her life so far.
I think it is Angelina's timing, rhythm and her ability to emote every single word which captivates the listener straight away.

She seems to never question where she is taking the song and feels the music amazing
She has said in a number of interviews that she never gets nervous when singing in public. By the way, she has performed in front of crowds as large as 40,000. This video shows her happily skipping out in front of them onto possibly the (physically) largest stage in the world (Seoul, South Korea, 2017), not the least bit phased by the size of the event.
There is another version of "Fly Me to the Moon" that is worth your attention; it is her performance for Quincy Jones' 85th Birthday Gala at the O2 Arena in London in June 2018. I think when you have a natural talent like her she doesn't have to think what to do next it comes so naturally she just does it. Where as a person just having training they have to practice to be able to do the different runs and things atvyhecright time.

My first thought was "Oh no! I'll have to skip all the chatter of the hostess" but thankfully except for the introduction of Angelina you cut it out. So, a big "thumbs up" for doing that. Angelina is Angelina is Angelina and by now I should never be surprised by one of her performances but no matter how often I watch and listen to them, even for the "umpteenth" time I cannot prevent that shiver of excitement and feeling of awe she creates in me.
For people that saw this video many many times, they can skip the short interview. My daughter and Grand daughters(7 and 9 yrs old) haven't heard of Angelina Jordan. When I saw gray wolf reacting toFMTTM, the View version, I called them to watch Angelina Jordan for the first time. In this video I told them you will see how young she is, when she first started singing, what songs she started with, and winning Norwegians Got Talent.
But it was cut out to the disappointment of my granddaughters I told my daughter when they got home to try to find it on RUclips. People being introduced to Angelina for the first time should not be deprived of the full video of her songs.

Great reaction - Angelina reminds someone else of the young Michael Jackson - Quincy Jones- and he should know. He personally invited Angelina to perform at his 85th Birthday celebration at the O2 arena in London in 2018 - Angelina opened the show with "Fly me to the moon " - obviously she did the version that Quincy arranged for Frank Sinatra back in1964. What a coincidence.....
It's kind of crazy. When I watch this child grow, through these videos , I am so proud of her, as if she were my child. I believe Angelina has the largest adopted family in the world. There is nothing she could ever possibly need of me. But I would drop everything if she needed me. The world doesn't get children like Angelina everyday, and it's not just her music that makes her special. It is that she is special, and that brings out the beautiful music in her. She is an angel.

Yes, but look for the combo video. The audio for the rehearsal was not good. Someone got the audio from the actual performance and overlaid it onto the video. That's the one to look for.

Another young singer (though she's barely able to make a living out of it) lately said she's considering herself incredible lucky to be able to make music. Especially considering how many other talented singers she has seen dropping out of the industry, unable to sustain it financially. I think Angelina is lucky she started so early and had the time to hone her skills without the time pressures that the life of a fulltime artist puts on you. That's really a luxury that few can afford after starting their career, most are completetly sucked up by the task of keeping it going.
The song starts off in straight time but then transitions into a swing feel and she doesn't miss a beat. How many kids can even SPELL swing much less understand it. And its just her voice and an acoustic guitar so there's no where to hid in the mix. Also its live so you can't stop the take and start over. Of course her voice is fantastic but to be able to deliver a live performance without error is astounding. I think the little bobble at the end was just she didn't know exactly how and when the song would end.
She sang before 40,000 at the Music in the City Festival in 2017.

Dude dude dude, what are you doing. Angelina dropped her first original record with Republic Records. Lots of people are reacting without being blocked. It’s really nice, which seemed like an understatement but I think that’s the right word.

I think PR are clever, and they know that the Angelina's fanbase is very active on youtube. So it would be "counterproductive" for them to block the reaction videos or claim for financial rights. For the moment anyway

You can also use bots to issue copyright strikes later on. I'm positivly suprised UMG has not used their usual "If in doubt block it" strategy so far.

Great song that Angelina, in her different versions and in different ages, always interprets in an incredible way, with a lot of emotion and talent. I love Angelina's reaction when the presenter gave her the stuffed animals( can't be seen, you cut it just a few seconds before), and there the child who lives inside the singer came out and got excited, just like it must be for a little girl. 😊❤️

I have watched so many different people react to music and videos, among them, Angelina, and with reactions it’s very close to everything else in life; I do not appreciate when people put on a show on their own just to get attention. So I would like to tell you, I really enjoy your sincere and honest reaction. I don’t know you, but through your videos, I at least get the impression that you’re not that easily impressed. The way you analyse music tells me that your viewing it not only through feelings, but also with a professional approach. Even though music can be/give/mean so many different things, to different people, I have high respect for your opinions, also when we’re not on same page (we absolutely agree on Angelina). Thank you.

I continue to wonder, "What does a musician think upon first-ever hearing and then, later, for the formal presentation?" I keep looking at the PUT A SPELL horns to see how many were dropped, have dings or flat-spots on bells. Well... they're all attached to lanyards. This performance's guitarist, too... I wonder what he thought? He's probably a hired-gun - plenty of great guitarists in LA. I wonder what he went back and told his buds after his rehearsals, much less this recording?

The thing with Angelina is that she has been a genuine, honest artist from day one. No frills, no gimmicks. When she sings, she does it from her heart and goes to the place she pictures in her mind with each song. That is what touches us every time apart from her amazing voice. It's the feeling she puts in everything she sings.
I totally agree with what you say about the stupid, self-centered, seudo singers out there as well as MANY famous ones that sing sh.... My husband is a painter and the same thing is happening in the art scene. There are lots of successful people painting crap. It seems the world has totally lost it's good taste and sensibility towards the arts.
I wonder if the guitarist realizes that he will probably be seen with Angelina in the photo sections of books on musical history until the end of time?
Welcome back, GreyWolf. FYI, superfan pa1189j has a version of Angelina performing Fly me to the Moon on his channel. It was performed at Quincy Jones's 85th birthday concert. Pa1189j overlaid a reharsal of the song with the actual audio from the concert. Make sure you check out this version because the orchestra was too loud on the actual rehearsal. Maybe somebody can give you the link (i don't know how). Like yourself, Quincy Jones says she's the best talent since Michael Jackson. This version shows the maturity in Angelina's voice at 12 years of age. The orchestration is wonderful and Angelina sings it so beautifully.

First of all, I think the murmur that goes through the audience when Angelina named the title of the song was so good. (2:55) . I suspect most had thought that an eight year old girl with this classic wouldn't work. 🤗 Second, since Friday November 6th, I've seen over 80 reaction's videos of Angelina's debut singel and so far only three have been blocked and these used for the audio video, the others used the lyric video. This is the song that has more views on YT (50M+) than any of her songs. There's actually several performances (6 or 7) of this song by Angelina. Hi. There are several points about Angelina that I would like you to address (I am a musical composer). I tell you from my point of view and why they make this teenager (perhaps) the best singer of all time. 1) Plasticity. She can "imitate" any singer with her voice, imitating means having the ability to "absorb" from said singer colors, textures, musical smells, feelings, that's why I say that Freddie Mercury could only be Freddie Mercury but not Amy's textures Whinehuse or Elvis Presley and so vice versa. There is no singer of today, famous (Adele, etc) or in musical growth who has this capacity 2) humility. Absolutely all the singers at this moment personify the music, they create a show of everything they do, instead Angelina seems like a teenager who is continuously learning, practicing. How long is she going to practice? I don't know ... when she presents videos on RUclips and fans or haters admire or criticize they don't understand that she is only practicing, she is a girl who practices music, nothing more than that. I am impressed that she also practices when she is on stage, and it seems that she only does performances until now to give herself "little tastes" like going to AGT: SHE JUST WANTED TO SING HER IDOL Simon Cowell (AS SHE SAID IT) SING QUINCY JONES OR SING WITH THE NORWEGIAN BAND TO SHOW THE POWER THAT HIS SONG HAS (LITTLE LIKES THAT THIS GIRL GIVES HIMSELF IN LIFE) 3) There is something that very few Reactors have mentioned: she is continuously playing (if she is not the reincarnation of Elvis Presley I do not know what it is) I explain: at the moment she connects with some musicians of the orchestra and exchanges gestures, she often looks at the camera intently because she knows that someone is looking at her from this side, other times she is so possessed in the narration of the song that it is difficult for her to return to reality, it remains as in a strange state of regression 4) she is a musical teacher, she makes small corrections to the original musicians, without changing her style or original narration and she does it with n much respect. Be careful, to make a correction to composers like Freddie Mercury YOU HAVE TO BE VERY GOOD (in Bohemian Rhapsody he showed Mercury that his song would sound much more universal with his arrangements because the rock "wave" attracts more rock lovers or in GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD corrected Elton John's performance and perhaps - excuse the audacity - also correcting author Bernie Taupin's melodic line) 5) universality. Angelina Jordan has an ongoing obsession with making music for all ages. NEVER SAW SOMETHING LIKE THIS, a musician (in this case sings an author) who is obsessed with the fact that music stops being fragmented into styles. How to achieve this? making the important thing is the dimensionality of the song, a singer whose purpose is to teach that singing is not a gymnastics, singing is not an Olympic vocal chord tournament, music is not a stage show: MUSIC IS SIMPLY ONE BEAUTIFUL SONG TO SHARE. Please try again to upload your review/reaction to "Million Miles" with the official lyric video. It has been done by many other reactors, often without breaks. It appears that there is only a problem with RUclips and the nonvideo version. I only watch your reactions to music reactions. I have no interest in watching TV series on my computer. I looked into your Patreon account, and even at the lowest level, it strains my fixed income. Sorry for my financial issues.

I have already done it. Check the community tab, unfortuantely it was blocked worldwide on youtube so it now only available via channel membership or patreon as exclusive content

Love your reaction. Angelina has said that when she sings, she goes into her own world which she describes as endless and filled with light, joy and love. I guess, if she's there, then there is no reason to be nervous. As far as how big she should have been at that earlier age, her parents protected her from all that and allowed her to be a child.
For what it's worth, I'd suggest at least watching the acoustic music video ( ruclips.net/video/jnnzbdt4_RE/видео.html ) whether you react to it or not, before you do her new "Million Miles" release and please do the lyric video of it. I think you'll see why after you've done it.
