I went to this school about ten years later, just saying that we try to uphold a standard and even though 2020-2021 wasn't how we expected, we still marched a show. Graduating soon and never happier:)
Thanks for the kind words "Marcus Band mom"! As the parent of one of the drum majors and a partner in the construction of the props, I still carry a lot of pride over what these students did and the level of excellence they pursued! Great memories!!
That was an incredible show... I graduated from Bwood in '77, and was in the symphonic band all 4 years (french horn). Yes, I'm old... We didn't march like that way back then. Too many dinosaurs were on the field. Well done guys!!
AWESOME SHOW !!! The music and marching were fantastic. The Color Guard...second to NONE ! And the props..... INSANE!!! I've never seen anything like them. Brazoswood is always one of the crowd favorites. Keep up the good work. Number 11 in the State......FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Casey & Co. on a job very well done !!!!
That was an awesome performance! My niece Kelsey is in there somewhere. I wish I had known they were performing in San Antonio. I would have taken the day off to see them.
Brazoswood... that was amazing! Soooo very good!!! ...I cant even imagine how insanely difficult it must have been for the judges to rate the ten bands that played in finals. This is truly incredible, thanks guys.
Who cares what the judges said...we (Marcus) were standing in the tunnel watching the performance. Did you hear us screaming when the snares turned around on the wheels???? Great show! Great performance! Go Brazoswood!!!!!
@bandmommou I definitely saw that and was very, very excited and proud to see that Marcus guys were clapping for us. Marcus band members have always been studs at competitions (on AND off the field). They've always won with dignity and been very encouraging to everyone else. So contrary to popular belief, they're not the jerks. Now LD Bell.......
I see this band every year at Lonestar Preview and have enjoyed every performance they have put together. A top notch band! Congrats on an amazing show! Keep up the good work.
This is the kind of stuff that really inspired me to start marching band in the first place. Although our band is terribly small (78 including guard) I'm hoping we can perform as well as the people in this show did. Durant '2013!
wow. great show. i can definitely see places that could use cleaning but the difficulty of the drill and music was beyond any of the other 5a competitors in my opinion.. and of course extremely entertaining show. love the concept.
I dont know, I think our we did awesome in this show. We did really well, everyone loved us, and no judge can take away all the blood, sweat, and tears it took to make this show great. no judge can tell us we wasted our time. we had fun and we did amazing, just because we got 11th doesnt mean we suck. this is my favorite marching show Ive been in.
Clear Lake High School pit member here! All I can say is that our entire band LOVES watching you guys preform! We went right after you guys at SHSU marching contests about a month ago (some of you may have gotten a good job from me :D) and thought you guys did a fantastic job! Keep up the great work with your incredible shows!!!
@81059manyponies It's actually quite unusual for a band to make any type of recognizable character on the field, be it a letter or number. some bads do do it but it's usually part of the effect of a show
They did GREAT! But maybe it's just me, but I couldn't make out what they were forming each time they moved into new positions. Usually bands make shapes of something, numbers, letters etc. I couldn't tell what they were making with their formations. Does someone know?
Klein oak band here: DANG THEY GOT SPINNING STUF! also great job this year though I think that the judges " view" was slightly "skewed" because we didn't make finals at lsp
@bbdogrocks13 Clear Creek HS marcher here: I totally thought you guys deserved higher than 5th.. Your show was great.. I was glad that we made 7th, though. :)
@XxxxIsabellxxX They should of gone to finals This was such an amazing show. The woodwinds were the best. And Im in Drumline :P We made 35 out of 36 but at least we went to state
@bbdogrocks13 My band was too (I'm a Clear Lake pit member)! We made finals as well and managed to get 4th place (darn you pearland...), which was a huge accomplishment for us. Congrats at 5th!
@bandmommou can I ask im from the north shore band and have been wondering how do yall get so freaking good. I mean yall sound like a freaking DCI thats how good yall sound. and IF you can please tell me what yall do to get that good. GO BRAZOOSWOOD!!!!!!
@lolcunts I go to Brazoswood and I'm not going to say that the band members weren't being snide since I wasn't there to witness it and all but in all honesty, our band always comes up with unique ideas. Spinning drummers?! Seriously! It was pretty damn awesome you have you have to admit. And also, every year I went to that school the band would go to state and always get ripped off by some ass of a judge. There was always that ONE JUDGE. so I'm not surprised in the least that our band members
We're doing this next year for our show and my directors are encouraging me to play marimba because of the intense music instead of my usual snare drum. I can't easily choose. Any ideas of what to do?
If only Mahomet took it this tempo...maybe we'd stand a chance of sweeping the season. The flute feature was absolutely beautiful. At our school, it's just a soloist doing it...and I'm that soloist. I'm super nervous, and wondering if it'll even be heard...I just hope we pull this off like you guys did...
@spoookee yes now its more about how entertaining your visuals are its basically boa stuff more which is probably why marcus won they are a freakin rich band which is part of the reason they have placed first the past few years
damn yall with your amazing crap making me get goose bumps with that stuff, very jelous! Navasota highschool of only 66 really needs to step it up. coming from a sophmore trumpet and mellophone player. enough said:(
@DaniSchuh24 Snare is a big accomplishment and ifi were you i would stick with that. Have you considered doing a drum corp? Your school must think highly of your percussion abilities.
I went to this school about ten years later, just saying that we try to uphold a standard and even though 2020-2021 wasn't how we expected, we still marched a show. Graduating soon and never happier:)
Marcus Band mom... this is still the show we all talk about!
Kathy Parker thank you! I think it's crazy how people still talk about it til this day! :) my favorite to ever march
Just wanted to say this is our favorite marching show,
The Pearland High School tuba section
Thanks for the kind words "Marcus Band mom"! As the parent of one of the drum majors and a partner in the construction of the props, I still carry a lot of pride over what these students did and the level of excellence they pursued! Great memories!!
THIS IS THE BEST MARCHING SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVED preforming this show. This was my favorite show in my three years.
Still great in 2020
That was an incredible show... I graduated from Bwood in '77, and was in the symphonic band all 4 years (french horn). Yes, I'm old... We didn't march like that way back then. Too many dinosaurs were on the field. Well done guys!!
I was a freshman when I saw this show at Lone Star Preview. I'm a senior now and it still is one of the best shows I've seen.
This show has better GE than some of the drum corps shows I have seen
Brazoswood band.. IS BEAUTIFUL! My marching band hat goes off to you all. It's pretty outstanding.
Not one minute into the show and I feel a tear welling up in my eye. This show is too awesome.
This was my favorite show to preform in. Proud to be an alum.

This is just so great. I love this show.
That was an awesome performance! My niece Kelsey is in there somewhere. I wish I had known they were performing in San Antonio. I would have taken the day off to see them.
This show is outstanding.
Brazoswood... that was amazing! Soooo very good!!! ...I cant even imagine how insanely difficult it must have been for the judges to rate the ten bands that played in finals. This is truly incredible, thanks guys.
God this was so much fun to march!
this is such a difficult show! arguably most entertaining that year
THIS WAS CRAZY AWESOME.

Awesome band.....phenomenal performance! You made us soooo proud!!!!
Who cares what the judges said...we (Marcus) were standing in the tunnel watching the performance. Did you hear us screaming when the snares turned around on the wheels???? Great show! Great performance! Go Brazoswood!!!!!

Gorgeous.
I see this band every year at Lonestar Preview and have enjoyed every performance they have put together. A top notch band! Congrats on an amazing show! Keep up the good work.
Vertigo's year we had, if I'm not mistaken, 283.
Awesome performance!! I'm in Mahomet Seymour Marching band, and we are doing this for our show this year! I can't wait to learn it all!!!
This was one of my favorite shows, too. This year's show (New Era Dance) was the best we've had since Vertigo, and it's now my favorite.
Dang guys, just chill haha. Both of you, this was a year ago.
the spinning snares were the most exiting part of your show
Mahomet-Seymour is doing this! We're really excited! Your guys' show was stunning!
Is that New Born by Muse at the very beginning? Awesome!!!
SOOOO SHOULDVE MADE FINALS!! AWESOME SHOW!! :)
Daaaang you guys are huge! We're doing this show next year and expecting about 190, which is our larges yet.. haha
@81059manyponies It's actually quite unusual for a band to make any type of recognizable character on the field, be it a letter or number. some bads do do it but it's usually part of the effect of a show
I wish my band were as big as yours, and as good. :( Dang, I'm really impressed.
Yes we were!
Yes, we were!
Woooh!! I'm gonna be in that band this year. Lol
Hello, hello, im in a place called vertigo. I was in this show ;)
Sam, Britney, Elzy! This show is amazing! I love you guys! Thanks for that cupcake by the way, it was soooooo delicious! :)
- Marcus
They did GREAT! But maybe it's just me, but I couldn't make out what they were forming each time they moved into new positions. Usually bands make shapes of something, numbers, letters etc. I couldn't tell what they were making with their formations. Does someone know?
@mandm4I17 Vertigo by U2 and Newborn by Muse, and alot of our show was from Gianine.
tight.
@Anielday06 why thank you!!! We worked hard on that run :D
@XxxxIsabellxxX They should of gone to finals
This was such an amazing show. The woodwinds were the best. And Im in Drumline :P
We made 35 out of 36 but at least we went to state
@bbdogrocks13 My band was too (I'm a Clear Lake pit member)! We made finals as well and managed to get 4th place (darn you pearland...), which was a huge accomplishment for us. Congrats at 5th!
OH and music from Hitchcock's "Vertigo".
@CrazyCat162 yeah haha that was Newborn by Muse
@bandmommou can I ask im from the north shore band and have been wondering how do yall get so freaking good. I mean yall sound like a freaking DCI thats how good yall sound. and IF you can please tell me what yall do to get that good.
GO BRAZOOSWOOD!!!!!!
@lolcunts I go to Brazoswood and I'm not going to say that the band members weren't being snide since I wasn't there to witness it and all but in all honesty, our band always comes up with unique ideas. Spinning drummers?! Seriously! It was pretty damn awesome you have you have to admit.

Bwood always gets ripped off by a judge in everything lol. Glad the swim team never had that problem
A little Blue DCI influence? Incredible show.
Dang.... your color guard is HUGE!!!!
@onetnmtr "hello hello, im in a place called vertigo' is what we sang
@mandm4I17
I think it's from the old Hitchcock movie "Vertigo" so try Bernard Hermann. :)
That guy in the end is like "OH GOD IM SO LATE!!!! IM LATE IM LATE IM LATE!"
We're doing this next year for our show and my directors are encouraging me to play marimba because of the intense music instead of my usual snare drum. I can't easily choose. Any ideas of what to do?
@TxRaider13, why were they kept out?
Were doing this show in our high school right now, but we have waaaay more movement than they do. It seems like they stop to play a lot
What place did they get?
Wait, other then when you say "Hello Hello, in a place called Vertigo" are there other parts when you use vocals? Like at 5:50, are you guys singing!?
@frostks We placed 11th at state
what were you guys saying in that singing part?
@lehoalananh the lyrics to Vertigo by U2
@lolcunts
Hmm, we didn't get 4th... we got 11th. And what band are you from?
@spoookee yes now its more about how entertaining your visuals are its basically boa stuff more which is probably why marcus won they are a freakin rich band which is part of the reason they have placed first the past few years
What did y'all place??
The Brazoswood band sure has changed since 2004. No more white uniforms? =(
Also heard that Mr. Cook retired and Casey is now head director.
@fgdrum007 From Donna?
damn yall with your amazing crap making me get goose bumps with that stuff, very jelous! Navasota highschool of only 66 really needs to step it up. coming from a sophmore trumpet and mellophone player. enough said:(
haha Im a woodwind here, thanks :D
How many are in this band?
Mr. Casey is the band director
What high school are you from?
Proud Buccaneer class of 2009. Go Brazoswood!!!
Daniel Montoya Jr. was the arranger.
Damn! Fucking great! What place did you guys get?
Who composed all of this?
hey. i am in the mahomet seymour high school band also. i am a trumpet. :D
@DaniSchuh24 Snare is a big accomplishment and ifi were you i would stick with that. Have you considered doing a drum corp? Your school must think highly of your percussion abilities.
Hey man, sometimes little bands can have the biggest sound! I'm sure you guys are awesome! What band are you?
382 people including guard
The judges were obviously not in a place called Vertigo.
@gbay06 LD Bell, i agree, completely overrated, but Marcus? ...total perfection. Well, at least this year they were.
sounded like muse for a second at the beginning, but I'm probally wrong *shrug*
new born? NEW BORN??!!!??!!?!
