pretty sad when media tries to paint these student as kids just to sell papers, they are adults over 18 who know social media and it's consequences of posting on it.
The problem is that many young people have absolutely no idea about what it's like to represent an organisation and hold your opinions when representing a client. They are too obsessed with themselves and their own opinions.

The US vetoes any resolution for a ceasefire , and in the past any resolution that implicated and exposed the culpability of the apartheid system imposed on Palestinians by the terrorist state of Israel. The obvious reason for this is because the UN is sponsored by the West , funded by it , and the West dictates the terms of its autonomy like who has veto rights .
Why do you care about the UN , no resolution is sticking to stop the genocide. If Israel murders a million Palestinians, there will be no consequences. I think you don't have a proper understanding of what's going on in the streets of large cities across the world; nor do you have an understanding of the history of the Jewish people. Also, considering the fact that only 5% of the Netherlands is made up of Muslims and less of Jews (although pre-Holocaust Amsterdam was a safe place for Jews with a thriving Jewish population - my grandfather's family came from Holland), do you really have any understanding of the Jewish people and their history? I've had it with the college student excuse. I was a college student once and did some incredibly stupid things. But i never endorsed hatred - against anyone.

The way something is framed has a real effect on how people react to it. People should be very much aware of this and shut the excuses down whenever they appear. If a 20 year old worker does something offensive, he is a "grown man" who should know better. If a 20 year old college student does something offensive, he is a "poor kid, who didn't know any better". For added effect you then add some typical victim descriptors (minority, gender queer, POC, non binary, muslim etc.) and the person in question gains the legal status of a toddler in some people's minds.

If they really wanted to do this the right way, the students should have been failed or not given reference letters, and if they were passed into the workforce, any reference check should have had the information included, until they have changed their outlook. If they don't change the outlook and continue to support one sided violence or any violence, they obviously can't work in a position where they are to be well versed in law and legal matters.

Professor Solomon should be commended for his logical, even-handed stance on some of his students who have made catastrophic career decisions by coming down on the side of Hamas. These students, I believe, know full well what they have said. In the future, they will not be able to 'laugh' this appalling behaviour off as 'undergraduate innocence'.
In my university tutorials, back in the 80s, we were encouraged to air our opinions in an atmosphere of openness and honesty.
As my final academic goal was to, eventually, become a military historian; had I publicly rejoiced at Hitler's invasion of France and Poland, I would have received, and heartily deserved, a poor mark on any exam.
I also would have earned myself an intensely serious interview with the Dean regarding my future presence on my chosen course.
Professor Solomon has not 'caved in' to the false assumption that, somehow, undergraduate law students are allowed to openly cheer on an inhuman, criminal aggressor.
Like the ensuing situation or not; Hamas are the 'bad guys' in this 'pop-up' conflict.
It seems crazy that this must be pointed out, given the circumstances; but there it is.
Had Hamas attacked the US, UK or any other European country, as they did Israel, either a US-led international force or NATO would, certainly, have taken steps to annihilate Hamas as an active fighting force.
It is truly tragic that, just as Saddam Hussein did, Hamas is hiding their command and control plus fighting elements in densely populated urban locations.
Cowardly regimes who use their own people as shields bet on world opinion going their way should anyone attack them directly.
These criminals also factor in a deliberate absence from any possible negotiated peace or ceasefire.
Collateral deaths and injuries in these situations are, therefore, the direct result of Hamas policies, not those in any IDF ‘playbook’.
If this was not the case, then Israel would have initiated this conflict.
Unlike Hamas; Israel does not have the destruction of hospitals or the deliberate killing of innocent civilians as an official military objective.
As the good Professor would know, the history of the region, going back even before the 'Six Day War', is littered with occasions where the US and the UN have, successfully, restrained Israel from mounting retaliatory attacks on their soil and the killing of innocent Israelis.
Even if they had the most level-headed of leaderships, it is understandable that Israel, sooner or later would reach a point where attacks upon them are so heinous, they can't be ignored.
Hamas 'terror-squads' actually invaded Israeli homes with the clear intention of murdering innocent civilians as they slept, pre-empting widespread rocket and missile attacks.
It is Hamas that is perpetuating the long, dark history of Middle-East conflicts.
We do not need a generation of US law graduates who support criminal, terrorist regimes.
