I think it is worth remembering that while a lot noise has been made about the perceived "failure" of the Ukrainian summer offensive it needs to be remembered that the last TWO Russian offensives have been spectacular disasters.
Ukraine has built a significant bridgehead on Dnipro Left Bank but it’s keeping extremely quiet about it. I think we can expect something to happen when Russia least expects it.

So if simple bits of 100 year old kit could have that effect it is easy to imagine what modern systems can do. The story of the "Battle of the Beams" in WW2 is another example, IIRC the British used hospital diathermy sets to interfere with German navigational aids. It was and no doubt still is a war of measures and counter measures with whoever can outlast or out think the other being the ultimate victor.

Meanwhile, they also say nothing about how Ukraine has fully driven the remnants of the BS Fleet away and achieved the ability to sxport grain. Or how Russian has lost tens-of-thousands in a two-month period and around a thousand major systems (tanks, IFVs, APCs, TOS-1, MLRS, artillery systems, jets, helicopters, GBADs, etc., etc.)
Australia has the capacity to do more but seems to drag its feet. The FA/18s that are being disposed of could be sent to Ukraine even to be sent as cannon fodder remotely, the same goes for the Taipan helicopters they are destroying.
While I agree that Australia is yet another rich and powerful country doing a tiny bit and patting itself on the back, those F/A-18s are in quite poor condition and would likely just be an added complication now that the F-16s are actually coming in semi-decent numbers. Sadly, the states don’t have that authority nor ownership of the equipment. Individual states could vote to provide economic / other aid, but that’d be a very bad idea. It’d give the GOP the excuse to pretend that was a viable alternative and continue blocking funds.

The Russians have demonstrated their ability to last the distance with heavy losses on the battlefield and still produce innovation like better counter drone technology and reduce Ukraine drone capabilities to a minimum, this is the context of a horrible war is impressive, at this rate a united Korea may happen which is nice for the Koreans as they never wanted war or a divided land or silly historic politics to last 70 years anyway, I imagine they will be pleased ✌️❤️🇬🇧

wow,. I didn't know that Russian electronic warfare was so effective...I can remember reading about intelligent weapons systems that could sense jamming/spoofing techniques etc. and they could simply switch to totally different regions of the E.M spectrum to make that really difficult . But I guess that's impossible with well entrenched systems like GPS signals etc. Ultimately though, I'd still put my money on American smart weapons and tactics than those of the drunken dystopian Darwinian rejects tech from Russia....
