Lots of sewing channels don't really teach us how to make a certain dress. That isn't always so straightforward but you really simplified it for us. Thank you ♡ ~
Thank you for going through the multiplications. So much easier then some of the other videos. This was my 1st clothing project as I'm new to sewing and the hardest part was the maths and cutting and joining material to be wide enough. Struggled with the elastic band (it keeps twisting) but I watched some other videos and have sort of fixed it. Great for a first clothing project. Thanks again!
Thanks for simplifying this process Always wanted to make such a skirt and you make it so easy Impressed that you used bedsheets Just goes to show that one doesn't need expensive fabrics to make a good item Thanks
That's a good idea! Will definitely keep in mind for the next tutorial. Basting stitches are seams with a long stitch lenght where you don't backstitch at the beginning or end so that you can pull the bobbin thread to gather fabric or can be used to keep fabric pieces in place before the final seam - can be helpful with zippers for example. Hope this helps!
Hey, not sure if you still need it but i kinda managed to figure out what lenght i used 1. Total hight : 33cm Total lenght : 132cm 2. Total hight : 38cm Total lenght : 152cm 3. Total hight : 49,5cm Total lenght : 198cm I already converter it to CM and i'm not sure what it is in inch but you can look that up if needed :)

Glad this was helpful! The patterning and cutting is my least favorite

Hii thank you🤗
Hi! this is my first clothing project, I was wondering what size elastic you used. Thank you for the tutorial it looks great!
Thank you! I used a 1 inch elastic
Heyyy, im having a hard time understanding how you figured out the lenght of each piece, would you mind sharing what measurements you used?❤
What should be the multiplier? I dont get the utility.
does multiplier means x2 of the waist measurement? sorry im very new to sewing hehe
Is it necessary to overlock? Ikr would zig-zagging be enough? Love this tut thank uuu
I actually don’t have an overlocker and just use zig zag stitch!
@ thank uuu!
Really excited to start this as my first project! Could you share how tall you are??
Let me know how it goes!! I'm around 5'6"-5'7"
I would've liked sewing definitions. What are "basting"?? Stitches, mentioned at 4.14seconds? When were they put in, what does this mean?

Mine came out to flowy. How can I change that?
Reduce the width of the fabric
Only if I had that machine lmao
What fabric?
Would probably recommend a lightweight cotton or linen!
What is a multiplier?
It's a number to use to calculate each tier length so that the gathering can be consistent! The larger, the more volume/fabric.
What is the length of each tier taken? We know the height but I wanna know the length
Hey, not sure if you still need it but i kinda managed to figure out what lenght i used
1. Total hight : 33cm
Total lenght : 132cm
2. Total hight : 38cm
Total lenght : 152cm

Total lenght : 198cm
I already converter it to CM and i'm not sure what it is in inch but you can look that up if needed :)
(gonna make thé skirt now, so i Cant say for sure it's correct but i believe it's pretty acurate)
What is a multiplier?
It's just a number you can use to calculate the length of each tier for a consistent amount of gathering!
