Thank you for your installation instructions. Instead of buying a new 4 inch support box and going through making a hole for it, I used the provided screws with drywall anchors. I screwed 1 screw into the original support box hole (with 2 support screws) and attached 3 screws with drywall anchors on the other side. Tried to tug it really hard and it can easily hold a 50 lb ceiling fan. If you have 8 ft ceiling like I do, i recommend purchasing a 2 inch down rod. I purchased mines from Hunter fans. The rod that comes with the unit is 6 inch and it's too long for me. Lowes also sells 4 inch rods for $5.
The down rod swivels which it helps for inclined ceilings. If anyone has a question regarding height drop, I think you can cut the pipe and drill a new hole for the pin.
Hello! Great video, i just purchased this fan and Im trying to install it, but I am not sure how to wire it. I have a black, red and white coming out of the ceiling, but only two wires (white and black) coming out of the fan, not sure how to put it together
In the US there is usually a hot, common, and ground wire. I'm used to green being the ground wire. So one of those I would guess is going to be ground. I would find a friend that knows about electrical wiring or hire an electrician if you are not sure so you don't create a fire hazard. The ground wire usually just screws to a metal connection somewhere on the fan assembly. It would be very bad if you did that with the wrong cable though.
Thanks for putting me on the Wago. I've damaged a few stranded wires today using a twist nut! Good to know about not being able to replace the fan light... K have the opportunity to buy thr fan for $90 and I might do it. This video helped a lot
A few questions. Does the downrod have the ability to be on an angle? Could it go on a sloped ceiling? How long is the power cord and the downrod as shipped? How long of a downrod could one use without an issue? (1 ft?) -- Thanks
Anyone know what type of diameter this fan covers on 10 foot ceiling. No one commented. Is it a nice breeze or barely felt. Light may be deal breaker for me
Is it easy to clean the fan blade? And how it is after a few months of use? And does it remember the last settings you used when turned off at the main switch? Please let me know. Thanks.
I have not needed to clean it yet, but I think it will be really easy as the blades are short and easy to access. It has held up great. Really like it. Yes it remembers the settings.
Good morning, I would like to know if by chance the LED light on the fan burns out, is there any possibility of changing it and putting in a new bulb so I don't have to throw away the fan?
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY after a deep investigation I finally found a way to mute the beep. You would need to press and hold the middle-bottom two buttons for a couple of seconds until it beeps. On my remote I had to press and hold the "3H" and the "Big Sun" button.
Great Video, step-by-step installation, pretty helpful. Thanks. Do you know if this fan is good for the living space or a large size room like 15'X15'? And is it too loud for a TV room or a living room?
Same. I just installed it and noticed one found that one of the 3 arms is crooked and bent, making the whole fixture crooked. It's dollar store plastic for $200. Avoid this trash
Great video. Terrible light fixture. 😂 Just bought and installed. The only reason I didn’t return it is because it’s already installed and not worth the hassle
Just installed one for my mother, my only issue is the rod isnt fully mountable so if someone were to bump into it, it can easily become unleveled or moved out of place.
I love it! Provides great air and the remote it easy to use. I also like that it's more compact and clean looking than a typical ceiling fan. And the light is dimmable and a nice color temperature.
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY would this ceiling light be harsh for the room? I have a really dark living room but I’m worried that it will be too harsh. What’s your experience?
I'm installing this same light now. I've done such fixtures before, including one mounted on a cathedral ceiling. The instructions that come with this product are TERRIBLE. No words just drawings. I guess they believe folks can't read anymore? Anyway, I couldn't figure out what the slim disc was for as it had obvious holes in it for attachment but the drawings don't indicate how or where it attaches to. So I looked for a video. I found yours. The extra stuff about changing out a box was wasteful. That should be a separate video. You failed to mention an important detail that I encountered early on. You must FULLY remove the set screws from the down rod before threading the rod into the fixture (K) because they interfere with the threading process. Trying to force thread it will not work and likely damage the threads. You glossed over the wiring bit for beginners, kind of important. I don't need it, but kind of important.
Have you installed a ceiling fan before?
No, may try this one since it's on sale now
My wife and I installed ours in the master bedroom. Great tip about taping the blue light. We love it …..😊. Thank you for the install video .

Is the light controlled from 2 separate switches? That might explain the red wire...might need to get help from someone

When using the wall switch does it turn on at the last used brightness setting or does it go back to the default full brightness? Thank you very much
I don't use the switch, but I just tested it for you and yes, it stayed at the last used brightness setting when I turned it off and on at the switch.
Great video. Definitely appreciate the heads up to block out the power light with electrical tape
Thank you so much!
I really needed to see this video.
Besides brightness, can you change the color temperature of the light (warm/neutral/cold)?
no
Hi, are you able to flush this fan closer to the ceiling?
omgosh i have this just delivered, thanks for the tip about the green light
Does this fan work without remote?
Thank you for the video, i will install mine tomorrow.
A few questions. Does the downrod have the ability to be on an angle? Could it go on a sloped ceiling? How long is the power cord and the downrod as shipped? How long of a downrod could one use without an issue? (1 ft?) -- Thanks
Yes, the down rod swivels on the ball joint.
Do you have to use the down rode? I have a Murphy bed and I’m worried about it hanging too low where the bed hits it.
I’m thinking about cutting the top piece and drilling a new hole for the pin
Does the instructions opt for a flush mount? I have a tiny house and this would be cool if flush mount is an option. Thank you in advance.
Are you able to control it from the wall switch as well?
Yes, you can still turn off and on the light but you would need the switch to stay in the on position to use the controller.
Can you use a longer downrod on this fan?
Yes, but off you go to long you would have to extend the wires from the fan to
Is there a reason one should avoid using a 3in to 4in adapter piece to hang this?
Can it go on a sloped ceiling? Thank you..

Can this be installed in a slanted ceiling?
Can it be used without the down rod?
No

@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Many thanks for letting me know.
Does anyone know how to pair remote with unit? Mine wasn't paired out of the box.
Our remote stopped working. Its got 🔋 s but not sure whats wrong with it. Anyone else run in to the same issue?

It doesn't appear so. You could try contacted the manufacture about it.

Hi is there a bracket for the remote with this can’t see it in the box ? Thanks.
No, I keep it on my bedside table.
Thanks I’ll set mine up. 👍

Where to connect ground/green wire from ? Only two wires coming from fan
The green ground wire is connected to the mounting bracket.
If only it had a cool white setting it would have been perfect. I have it but somethings got to give I hate the yellow glow.
How is the wind output from the fan? Do you know the CFM rating?
I think it's just over 1k
On sale at Costco right now and considering this for my closet. I currently have a florescent bulb and it ugly.
What was the sale price? Looks like it's $150 today regular price

Anyone has tried to replace the LED lights. 3k lights is crazy yellow. I prefer 6000k or 5000k. Thinking of replacing the LEDS.
Anyone know the color temperature of the light? I hate that they don't post that.
I believe it's 3000K warm white color temperature (I saw it on the product page on Home Depot's website)
Can it be installed if there's no electrical box in the ceiling because it's made of concrete?
Anyone know how to pair a second remote? I have two remotes, one from another fan that's broke. Can it be paired?
is it worth to have this or its just another fancy fan???
I like this one much better than the old fan. It has a cleaner look and more fan and light options.

The rod connection is not rigid, so it stay vertically. It is also meant to be used for sloping ceiling.
