Thanks Jacob. You should mention this happens also when the system freezes if you make changes to the settings like start and stop times and forget to save. I do this every so often and forget how to get back online and your process works every time. Thanks a million!!
Thanks a million! I kept seeing "waiting for connection" and couldn't access my controls. I followed your advice and back on line in 5 minutes. I am going to shop from your store as a way of saying thank you.
Thanks. Realize this video is four years old but still works. Worth noting that I think the wifi signal from the Aqualink doesn't go very far and I only got my iphone to see it when I moved closer to the device - i.e. if your aqualink is on one side of the house, don't reset from the other. Thank you again!
I tried to reconnect using this method many, many times with no luck. Finally went through the installation manual and noticed the WPS connection option. Tried that and voila it connected. Not sure why the above described method would not work for me but I’m up and running so all good.
Super helpful - thank you Jacob. Saved me a trip to the pool supply shop and who know how much in service cost. My wifi signal wasn't strong enough so I moved the router closer to the iAqualink and everything worked.
Thanks for this. I think iAqualink told me I had to push a reset button on the board. Which would mean a bunch of work. This worked in about 5 minutes. A lot less time than it took me to reset my router, wifi extender and circuit breakers a few times 😀.
This was super helpful! I figured out that my wifi will only reach temporarily and won't stay connected long enough to reprogram, so I ended up flipping the switch on the Aqualink back and forth again and connecting it to my phone's hotspot just long enough to change the schedule. Guess I'll have to do that from now on, or at least until I can get a signal extender for my wifi, since running a hard-wire is not an option. Thanks again for saving the day!
Great video. I remember doing something like this last time, but paying someone to help me. This time, I was glad to have your tutorial. Ok, we changed our router/internet so this stopped connecting. I found your video and felt so happy. Anyway, I've tried this multiple times and waited for at least 5-10 minutes. It's still not green. I even did everything again 2x and waited again. Still not working. Any suggestions?
Thanks for these instructions... I got a new router a few days ago and followed your instructions to connect my iqualink 2.0 to my new router. All seems to be ok, except the light on my app is still red and the web app won't advance past the "waiting for connection" screen. What else could be wrong?
Thanks. This technique also works for a wired connection. Because of the location of my equipment I could not get wifi to work consistently so I ran a cat 5 cable to it. Just make sure you leave the switch in the correct position after switching it back and forth a few times.
This is a great video. It would be even better if you could do a new one or add to this one how to fix it when flipping the toggle doesn't reset the connection. My unit (3.0) still showed connected to the web - all three lights showed working properly. Fluidra walked me through doing a full reset of the system (button in the upper right corner of the board) which finally fixed it.

Hi Jacob, I have a new router, I followed the instructions resetting the antenna and continue not to connect to WiFi. What else is going on, I purchased new filter, motor, pump and upgraded wall panel September 2020. I need to get my pool running. Please help!!
Hello, the best advise we can give you is to call the manufacture of the router. Sometimes they have built in security features that prevent iAqualink from connecting to the internet. Do you have any solid lights on the antenna? See Below: Red Solid - Power Yellow Solid - Connected to the router Green Solid - Connected to the internet No Red - No Power (Check your wiring connections, remember, the code is Red, Black, Yellow, Green) Flashing Yellow - Not connected to Wifi, usually no signal or the password entered incorrectly Flashing Green (with a solid Yellow) - Connected to the router, but the router is preventing the device from accessing the internet. May need some credentials changed.
Verify you dont have an Eero router or similar from the ISP. These routers seemingly block traffic like this. Enable the router's guest network and connect to that, instead.

Hi there, firewall settings in the router are preventing it from connecting. Please contact your router manufacturer to get instructions to allow the connection. Hope this helps!
The way of setting up your SSID and Password via Mobile Device, Will NOT work on 1.0. I strongly recommend 2.0 because the signal strength is a lot better than version1.0.
We strongly recommend replacing all 1.0 devices... They are not as water tight as 2.0 and the connection is very weak. You will see a lot better performance when you upgrade.. As for your question. This is not how to reprogram a 1.0, 1.0 requires a USB mini cable and taking the front of the panel.
I don't have a new router but iAqualink keeps losing connections. My husband keeps having to power off the entire control panel to refresh the iAqualink 2.0. Why do they not have a reboot button on the web device itself? I'm wondering if 3.0 will be more reliable than 2.0 has been. Right now I do not recommend this wifi enabled pool controller.
Usually if this does not work, there can be a lot of variables. 1. Make sure your router is visible from the setting screen while standing at your iaqualink antenna 2. I noticed you have a 2.0 device. Will this work the same for a 1.0 device?
The way of setting up your SSID and Password via Mobile Device, Will NOT work on 1.0. I strongly recommend 2.0 because the signal strength is a lot better than version1.0.
Also, do reprogram 1.0. Open the antenna, there is a mini USB port, you can plug a computer in and reprogram the SSID and Password Manually.
+BJ Customs this process will not work on 1.0. Please refer to the user manual and plug a USB into the antenna to reset the SSID and Password.
We strongly recommend replacing all 1.0 devices... They are not as water tight as 2.0 and the connection is very weak. You will see a lot better performance when you upgrade..
