He should have left the internet for a while after his apology and it wouldn't have blown up. I wonder if he's mentally unwell because he failed with his debut.
@@gattomao I unfollowed him when he admitted that he left FM instead of getting kicked out. It's very clear now that while FM did mistreat him, he also wasn't innocent either.
I thought he was kind of charming back when he was just being funny and chaotic on TikTok as a trainee. I could see why people liked him and rooted for him. It's too bad that things haven't worked out
was he on a survival show? i keep seeing stuff about him now that im like ehh he couldnt have been that bad before his 5 seconds if fame were up. now it seems he truly is a pos arsehole that teens should not be engaging with online
Even before this specific incident his behavior was totally unacceptable for an idol. I think idols should be free to have a normal life and date and speak their mind but to repeatedly joke about controversial topics (including SA of all things) is absolutely unacceptable. Even the most lenient company wouldn't take their chance debuting someone who doesn't know when it's time to stop talking
Exactly. I saw this a mile away from the first time I discovered and followed. I thought, this guy is a huge risk to any company because of his impulsiveness and recklessness. His personality would have been great for variety shows, too bad he has poor control of his words.
Holding him accountable is one thing but people did bully him. As always, people took it too far, beyond holding him accountable, so of course he crashed out since he seemingly doesn't have anyone to rely on in things like this. He also doesn't seem to have much media training? He apologized and should’ve stepped away for a while, cause it's impossible to please everyone.
Honestly I think people don't understand that he's always been someone that jokes about things he finds hard. Like people liked him back in the days with his "relatability" with self deprecating humours. And so he makes jokes about bad things and they find it okay when he does it about his depression but making a joke about other people's that are more impacted by the situation is something he has less of a "right" to do. I think people shouldn't have been so reactive and first degree with his first live. Yes it was bad to joke about it but it's how he deals with things and everyone that knows him knows that fact. Where he was more in the wrong was when he took back his apology and did that hot headed live. Never go online when you're angry it never ends well. At the end of the day I'm worried about his mental health, I'm worried about the people in the USA suffering from the situation and lastly I think we should just learn to ignore things that make us uselessly mad
“People” didn’t collectively send him abusive comments. A few individuals did, and he and his fans chose to ONLY engage with legit abuse because it’s easier than acknowledging the valid criticisms people did have. Idk why you keep going with that approach, his live should’ve proven that if you only engage abusive comments you will end up attracting more abuse instead of coming out as the biggest victim or vindicating yourself. Lastly, I do agree that a lot of women were more reactive because well… he did have some giggles at them losing human rights, which i understand he did not do on purpose but still. His current situation is actually worse because he gained a following of people who understand he is not mentally doing well but are actually entertained by it. And they’re the real issue instead of the initial, well-deserved push back you’re complaining about.
@@SpudhutCXrep I don't know if it's because my comment was not articulated well enough but I obviously know that not everyone was being mean to be mean and that there was legit cristism. My personal belief is that unless you understand political issues (at more than just surface level) you should not speak on it, and especially in a joking manner as a celebrity. It’s not good PR and it will only lead to miscommunication and anger. Now if you are well versed on the topic, by all means, have a productive conversion with others. For example, I would not speak on the pros and cons of Korean politics because I don’t know the nuances of it. I can say that an illegal act a politician did is objectively illegal, but I can speak to the moral part. It’s sad to say, but that’s how the world works today. I saw Beoham’s live that night and I told him that it would be best for him to get off of the live, and seek a trusted person to talk to whether that be a professional or a friend. It was clear that he was not taking the backlash well. But as I said, it’s best for celebrities who do not want to be involved in the chaos that is politics, to not speak on political issues they do not know about. My response had nothing to do with him being an idol, but rather for celebrities in general.
I think that's a great idea actually, espeically from a PR point of view. Something like politics can be so divisive and get people feeling certain types of ways and we're not always likely to know all the facts/info we could without extensive research!
For me, I think he ended up apologizing in a way that wasn't that sincere saying that he was sorry for the impact his words have instead of apologizing for even mentioning it as it had triggered many people as well not letting that reseult marinate for a week or so
I still don’t get how people support his aspirations to be an idol when he obviously has no talent for it. If he was a Korean girl with the same level of talent people would go mad
This makes me wonder where groups like Katseye, VCHA, XG, etc stand. They’re technically not kpop idols but they “play the kpop game” if u know what I mean. It’s kinda case by case but fans definitely have different expectations than more typical kpop idols
same with dear alice, i dont get the point of having mainly foreign "korean" idol groups based in korea doing westernised mainly english pop songs? if i wanted that id listen to our stuff anyway lmao
sorry if this is long-winded or not perfectly on track. idk enough about the other two to say, but xgalx is definitely playing a lot better than most big kpop agencies. parasocial relationships make more money, but keeping a reasonable distance between them and the fans is smarter and safer for the girls. xgalx doesn't filter them to anywhere near the degree of bigger companies, so i think a lot of fans understand and feel connected enough to the girls without needing things like fan calls or solo lives. the less live content they have to do, the less pressure there is for them to do and say the right thing 99% of the time. i'm sure media training is much more effective for a standard interview than the levels of toxicity the internet can be, so it's smart to just cut the unnecessary second part out so you only have to trust them with the first part. plus, fan calls and lives have put so many k-pop idols in uncomfortable situations, and they just had to put up with it to not make the fans mad and make themselves look bad, so it's refreshing that the only interactions they're making them do right now are either brief and noninvasive or heavily monitored for their safety like fansigns or being able to say hi to them when leaving their concerts. Here's the thing though the entertainment industry is quite broad and sadly I don't think anyone told him that. He didn't have to result into a loser online. He could have gotten into an acting Program or into MCing since he loves interacting with people. Also how about just changing agencies and continue training. He's still young and although not very talented he could give himself a chance to learn more and get better. Having a political opinion makes you less marketable if your music doesn't reflect your political views too. This is just the reality
Huh? Plenty of idols have supported certain causes lowkey whether it’s Yunjin posting Blue by Billie during the US election week or other small ways. This was just crass
@dreads8220 do you see the difference though? if anything, idols are subtle to avoid backlash. What I'm saying is that any (particularly obvious) political statements will piss one or the other off so idols are supposed to not make any as to stay popular with everyone. this is the industry standard.
The initial post was full of irony. Irony doesn't work well on the Internet. This is proven. People just don't get it. This is why people found his initial post controversial. What a sad state of humanity. Do you want all your KPop performers speak like AI dolls? Well, go crazy by commenting on real people and their posts.
I don't think he did anything wrong. People seem to be sensitive. Why is it that we don't like people talking about politics. He was just disappointed about who won just like everyone who didn't vote blue. Yall directing the hate on the wrong person.
If he wants to congratulate Trump whether it is a joke or not that is his choice and ppl shouldn't be criticized for which president they want to support honestly. I hate Kamala but don't throw a tantrum or try to police someone for supporting her.
It's obviously apparent he's in the throws of addiction but why rub the stuff on your gums? I thought you're supposed to snort coke. I'm seriously in the dark. Does that get you high? Didn't dentists use it as some type of numbing agent back in the day?
it was used in dentistry for numbing. even rubbed on the gums of a teething baby, so it's how people "check" if they taking what they're taking. you might catch detectives doing that on t.v shows
saying r.i.p to women isn't humor.🫤 I wonder what his gf thinks?😌 it's a red flag for sure. it's not something to joke about. def misogynistic and nothing to do with culture, except for the culture of sexism. what was the joke? cause fans can say the r word comments were jokes and it's their culture.

If he wants to congratulate Trump whether it is a joke or not that is his choice and ppl shouldn't be criticized for which president they want to support honestly. I hate Kamala but don't throw a tantrum or try to police someone for supporting her.
I hope he gets help and I hope he gets his comeback ☝️
his eyes and face structure are unsettling. He gives silver tooth energy
LMG ☠️☠️☠️
I need this boy to stop talking, he won’t win.
It's obviously apparent he's in the throws of addiction but why rub the stuff on your gums? I thought you're supposed to snort coke. I'm seriously in the dark. Does that get you high? Didn't dentists use it as some type of numbing agent back in the day?
it was used in dentistry for numbing. even rubbed on the gums of a teething baby, so it's how people "check" if they taking what they're taking. you might catch detectives doing that on t.v shows
He needs mental help, I'm super scared for him.
honestly me too. I hope he takes some time away from social media and gets the help he needs
saying r.i.p to women isn't humor.🫤
I wonder what his gf thinks?😌
it's a red flag for sure. it's not something to joke about. def misogynistic and nothing to do with culture, except for the culture of sexism. what was the joke?
cause fans can say the r word comments were jokes and it's their culture.
