      AuroraS 92 oh my God I was literally having the same conversation with myself about this! 😂😂 In 3rd grade, I remember sitting in class and the sky went pitch-black. I'm thinking 'huh? That's odd it seems a bit early for the sun to be going down...' I brushed it off thinking there was a thunderstorm coming. It was still semi-dark even when school let out! It wasn't until years later I found out there was a solar eclipse that dayyy!!!!! 😩😭 I was livid I missed such a beautiful phenomenon!! lol

    I loved the shot of the old woman praying, as though she was thanking her god for the beauty of what she saw. So amazing that these celestial workings of space can cause these emotions from all walks of life. I really loved this video :)

    • @eunkyungjung363
      @eunkyungjung363 6 лет назад +12

      Actually, I think she was praying for the benefit of the Sun. In Hinduism, eclipses are a pretty big deal - but not in the most positive light. Eclipses are considered impure/bad phenomena, and there are many reasons to explain this impression, but one that I am familiar with is that the Sun suffers during a solar eclipse, much like the Moon is said to suffer during a lunar eclipse. Much like the legend of the Sun-eating dragon among the ancient Chinese/East Asians, it is a common belief that the Sun god (or the Moon, depending on the eclipse) is being 'captured' to suffer, so to speak, during an eclipse. It goes to show that even demigods like the Sun god and Moon god apply to the rules of dharma, and they will pay for the bad karma they accumulated in this way. That's one of many reasons why temples close during eclipses and people are asked not to enjoy food/drink/entertainment, but instead pray. Of course, it is not the only explanation, but one of many, like I've stressed before.
      I don't mean to insult or offend, merely share my two cents based on what I've been taught, raised as a Hindu. I also realize that this comment this from three years ago, but nonetheless there will be people who will still visit this video in the future, so I'll still leave it here for them to read and maybe add something new to their knowledge while they enjoy this video.

    Ancient Irish were first to record an eclipse - 5,355 years ago..They carved images of an ancient onto giant stones over 5,000 years ago, on November 30, 3340 BC to be exact. This is the oldest known recorded solar eclipse in history. The illustrations are found on the Stone Age “Cairn L,” on Carbane West, at Loughcrew, outside Oldcastle, in County Meath. The landscape of rolling hills is littered with Neolithic monuments. Some say that originally there were at least 40 to 50 monuments, but others say the figure was more like 100.

    It's so eerie when everyone goes silent when the total solar eclipse nears its peak and bursts into cheer and then bursts into cheer when it gets there. :). it certainly is a sight. The first solar eclipse I experienced was back in elementary school, but that is a life age ago for me. It was the one that occurred Oct. 3, 1986. Look it up. I was so little then, but I remember it. :)

    The distance between the sun & the moon in proportion to the distance each of these orbits are from the earth is no mere coincidence. The creator of the universe calculated these distances long before their creation so that when God foresaw the eclipse in advance of either the sun or the moon, both covered each other perfectly with its shadow.

      +John Gemmell it is human nature to put a supernatural explanation for a natural phenomena. It's the reason why cultures worshipped the sun and the moon and why you state that it must be 'god' If you can give me irrefutable evidence that a higher being created the moon and earth then I will change my mind but in my experience the likelihood of this happening is close to zero.

    • @ybsmike6512

      @@hoztravels2024 - I ask you, explain to me how when we measure the temperature of the moonlight, on a full moon night, why is is COOLER then the non-moonlit surfaces? In the Bible, it explains that the moon is for signs and for light. In a "darwin" evolution universe, this would be impossible since the moon light is reflecting the suns light. Also, look into Ron Wyatt and all his discoveries. He discovered the actual Arc of the Covenant, the red sea crossing, the city of Jericho and tons of sulfur still usable/ignitable all over it's remnant buildings, and he found actual Egyptian chariot wheels in the red sea at the crossing point, laced in fine gold. Several people tried to debunk his findings, and they all had no choice but to agree that Ron DID in fact find all he claimed to find. What I'm about to tell you is true, but you won't find in on the news... Ron found Blood on the Mercy seat on the Arc, and had it tested at 3 independent labs, only asking that he would be allowed to be there as the blood he found was tested. The blood was ALIVE still, making the lab technicians ask whose blood they were testing. Ron cried and told them it was the Blood of our Savior. All 3 labs reported the same findings. the Blood was alive, and it had 1 Male chromosome, and 13 Female chromosomes. I promise you my brother, What john states is true and God DID create the Universe, and He created each of us. Please, look into what I post. See for yourself. Jesus is very real, Alive and is soon coming to take His Faithful prior to the start of the Tribulation. Look at this World. Do you know clearly see the evidence of the Bibles Prophecy's coming to pass right now? Wars and Rumors of Wars.... Pestilence, Vocaneos and Earthquakes increasing in frequency and raising quickly in strength. "Global warming" is a lie! This is the evidence of Jesus nearness, and all you have to do to see the truth is ASK. Ask Jesus to prove to you that He IS REAL. What have you got to lose? The proof is everywhere, man has not been able to make a single seed even though we pride ourselves on how our technology is stunning. No, creation IS stunning, and Jesus is now trying to wake up those who are sleeping refusing to see the truth. It took me 45 years to realize this fact. I promise you, I was just like you on this topic, but when my life fell apart, and I lost everything, Jesus came to me and showed me the truth. I have never been the same since, and He often sends me signs to remind me that He is always with me. I promise you brother, I am speaking truth to you. Please, take it upon yourself to research what I shared and see for yourself. God Bless you and your family.

    Why is this page filled with stuff about God? This is a natural thing that happens in our solar system based on gravity, lunar cycles, etc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but until someone proves that 'God' created everything, I'm going to stick with the scientific facts proven. You people need to watch more Neil DeGrasse Tyson... and read less of the bible.

But you still wouldn't understand, you'd say, "But, scientists all agree!" You are a waste of a human body as long as you are kept in ignorance by your human masters, such as N. Tyson.

      *+Jacob Coenig* Dude there is no "heaven" or "hell", none of those bullshit afterlife fairy tales are true. And no there isn't any "God" or "Creator" either, jeez this is the 21st century and people still have these old primitive beliefs!? Goddamn close-minded cultist religious nuts. God is a man-made concept to explain things we didn't know and feared, it was basically made out of ignorance before we had science. And the afterlife was invented because people fear the unknown, and we fear dying and want to live forever, therefore it is a "comforting" thought that after you die there is this magical place called "Heaven" where you'll live happily ever after etc.
      When you and I die it's probably going to be the same thing as the year 1643 was to you and me, we didn't exist in 1643, so we'll simply cease to exist after we die. We'll no longer be conscience after brain death, what happens when you put someone into a medically induced coma? Or when you go to sleep? It's the same thing except there won't be any more dreams or anything because you're dead. The only thing that's left of us is our decomposing bodies.

    • @LIVERZ
      @LIVERZ 7 лет назад +1

      Blaze_007 Science and religion work hand in hand. science explains the how but the creator explains why things exist. you say we are narrow minded when spiritual people look at all explanations while atheists look at things with a narrow mind.
      how do you *know* there is no after life or that we won't experience something after death? how do you know this?
      you're wrong about believing in a creator or after life because you think we fear death so it's something there to comfort us. Even if you believe in god or not the death experience is the same in some ways. what is there to fear once you're dead? really it's you that fears death. we accept death eill come at any time, young or old. the difference between a theist and atheist is we are preparing ourselves. Pascals wager.
      what if there is an after life what will you do then?
