The thing about both characters is that they weren't ready to be together for the longest time because each of them were in different places mentally and sentimentally. Every time they were together they weren't ready to fully commit to each other until they finally grew and mature as individuals. Also in the van when they wake up you see Ian smell Mickey. In season 4 when Karl asks Ian if he loves Mickey he says that he likes how he smells. That was love.
Finally someone posted about Ian being in love with MIckey... Just because he changed after his bipolar diagnosis, it doesn't mean he lost his feelings for him, he just couldn't express them the way he did before and everything were messed up in his head. Even though he dated other guys he realised that he needed Mickey in his life. Trevor putted challenges in their relationship too after Ian left him and tried to get him back but Mickey's challenge was much bigger because he basically asked him to marry him and spent the rest of their lives together. This scared Ian but he didn't back off, losing Mickey again made him realise that his life is not the same and he finally accepted to marry the love of his life 😭❤❤
“i should probably go dance with my husband” that right there was the long awaited sentence i’ve always wanted to hear come from one of them about the other and it became a reality🥺
Agree with this video 100% I think it is easy to assume that Mickey "fell harder" because of how blatantly his character changed after season 3. Mickey's rejection hardened Ian which is why we don't see as much obvious affection towards Mickey as we did when Ian was younger, but it's there.
I think it’s both. My bf was the same as Mickey. I was exactly like young Ian when he was younger and he loved Mickey the most. My bf being so… detached and distant made me like Ian later on. I am clinically depressed which sometimes causes me to be hard to love. He said so himself once. So I understand both sides. It could be the bipolar or that Ian became like Mickey in the end. He learned that Mickey wasn’t all “sappy” but only in the right moments.
They are equally in love with each other! Ian seemed to be more interested when he was younger but the truth is, his bipolar is the reason he acted that way. His mother planted the seed that, no one could truely love someone who is bipolar and that was always in the back of his mind.
Thank you for this gem. People always give Ian a hard time for criticizing some of Mickey’s actions even though he was justified. In the beginning, he was a kid who knew nothing about healthy relationships but he knew he loved Mickey. No matter what was going on inside his head or within his other relationships, he knew at the end of the day Mickey had his heart, even when Mickey denied it. Just like any other person, Ian is allowed to make mistakes and shouldn’t be hated on for acting like a normal person stumbling through relationships.
yep. Totally agree with you. ppl always forget how sweet Ian was at the beginning. For me, if the guy who I loved said ‘you are just warm mouth for me to …’ or call me as a ‘whore’, I absolutely won’t fall in love with him any more. But all these kind of insult words and sentence from Mickey, Ian accepted
I'd put Debbie as no 1 Gallavich fan: She convinced Mickey to get back together with Ian when he came back from the Psych ward, She was mad at Lip when he scolded Mickey for not getting Ian treated and She convinced Ian to propose to Mickey.
anyone who criticizes Ian doesn’t understand what it means to be bipolar. as someone who has lived with this disorder my entire life, I know it isn’t fucking easy to be with me but that doesn’t make me any less deserving of love.
I dont think there has ever been a more organic, authentic relationship written in the history of television As a straight man myself, I genuinely rooted for these two. It was true love. The ugly and the beautiful that many of us will probably never experience
I think that Mickey went through so much when it came to his sexuality which made it seem like he loved Ian more but I think they both feel for eachother so hard and whenever they were apart all they could ever think about was eachother and how much they truly did love eachother 💖💖
Love this edit so much. Mickey grew the most on this show. You really feel a lot for his character. How he acts tough around his family when hes closeted but then slowly begins to admit and express his feelings with Ian. You really see his emotions slowly unravel overtime. So many different layers to his character. And Ian (Cameron) bounces off of his energy very well. You wouldn't be able to tell that both of these actors are even heterosexual in real life. Noel Fischer is amazing and deserves an oscar for this role. Again, awesome edit.
People don't understand 2 things. One that having bipolar disorder affects how you are in relationships, confuses your feelings. And two, loving someone that goes back and forth on you makes it a different dynamic when someone is ready to finally be serious about you. It takes awhile to adjust to such a change in the dynamic
I literally don’t understand why their relationship makes me so happy but it does. Seeing how Mickey came out for Ian and started letting his feelings in. The way Ian freed him and the way they freed each other. I’m way too obsessed with this relationship 🤣😫
Yes! I love this sooo much. I also really like the phrase of "Mickey fell harder" but in reality i know they are equally in love, just that there are soooo many ways of show love and i love how different is Mickey from Ian. I just really love your edits and i appreciate that you just made a 32:00 min long video about Ian loving Mickey 😔💜💜💜 we stan 💜💜💜
the chemistry between these two is incredible and i think you can really see in these smaller moments the way they care and love each other. its nice to see these moments focused on rather than the more important moments, not that they arent nice either ;) great video again
y’know if i could pin point one time that really shows how much ian felt for mickey, it was right before mickey got married. you see ian shitfaced on the couch, meaning he got absolutely hammered because he was in so much emotional pain, he continued to be drunk through the entire wedding set up and even at the after party. i believe that is the only time we see ian get that drunk before the bipolar storyline. he was super into the army and being an upstanding person unlike frank, and here he let himself totally go, it’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch him get so drunk he doesn’t even control himself and blurts out the truth at the after party
Can't wait for season 11... Eagerly anticipating. They both are adorable. Love to see them together. Wish writers don't disappoint us, come up with some interesting stuff n show more love between them.
Ian and Mickey both have done things more than required for each other and that makes them deserving of a happy ending. So Showtime better give them one cause I’m ready to throw fists
Ian had to go through alot of pain to get Mickey completely. I can't imagine being in love with someone only to watch them marry someone else. That is extreme heartbreak. Thankfully my babies are married now. I have an addiction to these two I do not want to get over. Thanks for posting.
Ian was always trying to convince himself and everyone else that Mickey wasn't it. Because that was 100% all Ian wanted. Whenever anyone would say he could do better than Mickey he always got quiet. He knew he wanted only Mickey. But the possibility of Mickey deciding he didn't want Ian and his issues terrified Ian. He didn't want to destroy Mickey the way Monica helped ruin Frank. He was afraid Mickey would abandon him (like Monica abandoned him). So he always left first.
It is safe to say that both of them grew with their relationship. Mickey became more capable of saying how he feels and accepting who he is and Ian was more hardened by how Mickey treated him when he was younger. It’s easier to say Mickey fell harder cuz his feelings are more blatant now, Ian’s feelings are less obvious now but they are there.
i think part of the reason it seemed that ian wasn’t as in love with mickey was that he wasn’t expecting for mickey to end up that in love with him. from the beginning to end, mickeys love for ian changes dramatically, and ian wasn’t used to that.
LizLawliet no there’s nothing wrong aha I just expected it to be like 5 minutes long and when I was 10 minutes through I was just like ‘wait..’ and then I finally checked aha
Ian had a lot of expectations for Mickey, especially in the beginning, even though he knew who Mickey was, he knew who his father was ("We have nothing to be ashamed of"). It is not surprising that Mickey couldn't live up to those expectations, he had no idea how to do that. He was stuck in his world under the thumb of his violently homophobic father who ruled with his fists. For Mickey there was no way he could be gay so there was no way he could be catching feelings for Ian, so he pushed back against what he was feeling, pushed back at Ian when he got too close ("you're nothing but a warm mouth to me"). But even way back in season 1 he was always around, always came back to Ian, was always there for him ("I don't know where else to go"). He never totally rejected Ian. Of course Ian felt rejected, because he is looking at their world from a whole different perspective, from a place of acceptance, of family, of love. Mickey views the world from a much darker place, a much scarier place, a place of hatred and violence. So I think it is really unfair to blame Mickey, to accuse him of treating Ian badly in the first few seasons. And it mirrors Ian's treatment of Mickey later on when he is the one in a dark place. Neither of them knew how to deal with what was happening to them. Both of them were influenced by their upbringing, by their parents... Mickey - Terry, Ian - Monica. These people had a major impact on who they were at the times they acted in ways we see as "bad" but both of them were flailing about trying to figure out life for themselves. Neither of them set out to hurt the other, both were trying to protect themselves and each other. The only thing that doesn't fit this narrative is the things Ian said about Mickey in seasons 6 and 7.
Oh, and as far as the "Ian fell first but Mickey fell harder" thing.. I don't know about that, I mean Mickey was the one who initiated their first hook-up, so there must have been some attraction going on even then. And it's impossible to say who fell harder because these two experience love is completely different ways. Ian's love is more centered on self. He needs to be the person someone can love in order to love that someone (don't know if that makes sense?). While Mickey's love borders on obsession, once he falls he's all in, he's gone, his person becomes his focus in his life. And it works for these two!
8:54 I notice that Ian always does things up to Mickey's eye contact, u know, waiting for signal. The same thing happen in Season 11 when Lip asked Ian for his vote on selling the house and he looked at Mickey to make his decision to vote ❤ Mickey listened to Ian most of the time but so did Ian aw😢
Mickey's been shot 2x b/c of Ian (by Kash & Jimmy's mom), pistol-whipped by his dad, basically raped by a Russian hooker, forced to marry said hooker, then beat half to death - AGAIN - by his dad for coming out. Oh, and even when Ian kidnapped his son, Mickey still defended him. He tried to kill Sammi for turning Ian over to the MP's. If that's not ride-or-die Idk what is. I'm not sayin' Ian doesn't love Mickey as much as Mickey loves him, but he didn't have to sacrifice as much. Mickey had no emotional support besides maybe Mandy. Ian could never understand what it meant to be a Milkovich. The Gallaghers are messed-up but the Milkovich's are a goddamn horror show. (It still amazes me that no one calls Terry out for knocking up his own daughter. I mean, really? Being gay is wrong but impregnating ur own child is fine? GTFO!)
The journey that is Ian and Mickey is one for the ages ... their LOVE was certified battle tested and they came out the other side in one piece . I truly believe ... Mickey fell for Ian harder because he fought his feelings for so long . The moment I knew Ian had him was the night they first kissed in the club... the world melted away for Mickey . ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sometimes I can't believe they made it. Their love for one another is greater than anything else, greater than all the heartaches and challenges they had to overcome in the last decade.
I just want someone to take every single scene of Ian, every single scene of Mickey, and every single scene of them together, and make it into a video dedicated to only them and all their parts
Wow that was... painful. Ian sure has been through so much as well. Let's pray they won't fck them up in the last season so I'll have some faith in true love 🙏
i love the somewhat scared look in mickeys eyes when they first are together, like he has no idea what do with ian or how to process what hes feeling. idk if the actor chose that, but if he did, it was great. Hes got some good facial expressions.
They deserved so much more out of the wedding episode and season. Fans have waited for this and it was a good episode but it felt rushed. Also I wish Mickey would have answered ian. He needed to hear mickey tell him why he loved him. Mickey doesn't say how he feels he shows it in the things he does for ian. Like going after sammie and getting thrown in prison to be with him. But ian needs to hear the words I guess. Hopefully season 11 we see more of them. I've never been more invested in tv couples like I am with Mickey and ian.
Does he get that look in his eye when he’s with you ... when you see it you’ll know ( I will always love that line) the eyes NEVER lie... they are the window to the soul. Ian and Mickey were truly meant for each other.
I just binged the whole series and I agree that they belong together. I was so aggravated with the writers trying to put Ian with someone so incredibly boring as Trevor and expecting viewers to go along with it
You know this is the only video I have seen where I get to see and feel like Ian married him for loving him and would take up for him. That is all I have wanted and this was remarkable work!
One was always reaching for the other. When Mickey was denying his feelings for Ian, Ian was still keeping tabs on him and trying to be there even when Mickey didn’t want him to be. Then when Ian’s life started to come apart and he didn’t feel he was even good enough to be with Mickey, Mickey was there to keeps tabs on Ian and be supportive in whatever way he could. They both had to get through what they went through to get to the point where they could be happily married.
I’ve watched a lot of on screen romances but this duo script the writers have wrote is off the scale . The HI’s and Low’s , the anger, the passion and all the different emotions are incredibly scripted and acted . These two deserve an award for their performance in shameless, incredible work guys !! ❤
Ian was starstruck at first sight by Mickey, then he had to go through Mickey being violently reluctant then the wife and child then his developing bipolar then Mexico and alllll that shit before he finally got to marry Mickey Milkovich and he deserves it dammit.
I hate it when people say that “Ian fell first but Mickey fell harder.” That is complete bullshit. In the first season Ian and Mickey really liked each other by each interaction. They both started to fall in love. I know there was probably different scenes where they eventually fell in love with one another probably through season 1 and season 2 but they both started to fall in love, Ian was just more open about it and Mickey was in denial. And when it comes to Ian’s bipolar storyline Ian was still so in love with Mickey through everything but he thought he was ruining Mickey’s life so he broke up with him even though he didn’t want to. Mickey was still so in love with Ian just like how Ian was at the beginning of the relationship but at this point Ian just doesn’t show it as much as he used to just like how Mickey didn’t show his love in season 1 and 2. Then the false marriage thing happened and the reason Ian hesitated to sign the paper was because he knew Marriage was a big commitment and he didn’t want to mess it up and he was scared but he was still in love with Mickey but again he just doesn’t show as much love as he used to. Then they date other guys who they don’t really like and Ian beats the shit out of Byron because he was still in love with Mickey obviously so that’s why he finally proposed. Then they are finally married and there are little scenes that really shows there love towards each other. I know they fight a lot when they got married but they just wasn’t used to being married it was a lot of adjustments. Also my two favorite Gallavich scenes in season 11 that really shows Ian’s love for Mickey was 1) Ian was there for Mickey when he didn’t like living in the West side so he told him that they didn’t have to go back their because he was trying to be understanding and be compassionate because HE LOVES MICKEY! 2) The scene where there talking about having kids and Mickey tells Ian that he would make a terrible father and he was worried he would beat the kid and Ian assures Mickey that he wouldn’t do that. You could see the hurt in Ian’s eyes and face not because he wanted a kid but because he was upset that Mickey thought that way about himself. And he assured Mickey that he would never do that and it ends with a great moment. So in conclusion Ian and Mickey both love each other and would kill the Devil if it meant they could be together. I love this relationship so much!!❤️

@@eeleakkaelee5626 I would say November because they start their first virtual table read Monday
Stop I didnt wanna think about this 😭
Keep watching it non stop it will never end
bro I kinda wanted Mandy to come back for their wedding
I think it was good that she didn’t. She has decided to continue her life outside of south side, away from her chaotic upbringing and from Lip.
@@yvmendoza2841
yeah but maybe only when he treated her well and for Ian and Mickey, remember how she was good with Debbie too?
Sometimes I miss that
SHIIIIT YOU RIGHT THOUGH
Yeah, cause most of Ian and Mickey’s fights Mandy was there to help lead them in the right direction
Yea her and Fiona should've been there.
their kisses are so passionate LIKE I'm surprised they didn't actually fall in love lol
Hi Laura, I love your RUclips display picture 😍😍
nokubonga sibisi thank you❤️
I've honestly never seen a single kiss more passionate than one of theirs, not even when the actors were actually a couple. They are amazing actors
"Mickey's waiting for me"
I NEVER CAUGHT THAT THAT JUST MADE THE WHOLE SCENE SO MUCH SADDER
I love Mickey but in the first season every time i saw his face i just wanted to give it a good scrub with soap 😂
@Sariya Brooks
yeah and I hated how shitty he was treating Ian
Oh god me too 😆
The contrast between him and Mandy in S1 was insane. Like, why was he always so dirty lol.
😂😂😂😂
Only in the first season?? Lol
Poor Ian. He was in so deep in the beginning and was treated like crap. It's wild that people dismiss how much Ian fought for them for so long.
Like the episodes go by so quick but we forget that in their timeline, YEARS are happening
Agree with this video 100% I think it is easy to assume that Mickey "fell harder" because of how blatantly his character changed after season 3. Mickey's rejection hardened Ian which is why we don't see as much obvious affection towards Mickey as we did when Ian was younger, but it's there.
I think that and his bipolar disorder diagnosis
That “course I’ll fucking marry you” hurt my heart so much man. That kind of love..
Yes I did just spend 32 minutes and 9 seconds watching and crying over a fictional couple that I love way too much just fall in love and get married
You not the only one
i just realised that the video was THAT LONG i thought i had spent like 15 minutes but nop... time flies when you have fun lol
@@africaouass you are speaking facts
Im here ⭐🙋🏽♀️
man the only let down in the gallavich story was that mandy wasn’t in their wedding like mandy and lip was the total gallavich fans of shamless
❤️❤️❤️
💟👑🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💖
Damn well said
literally, i have bpd and bipolar. it’s hard, hard as fuck. half of the people criticizing ian wouldn’t understand it, not in the slightest.
Ian hugging that pillow got me crying a river 😭😭😭😭😭
Fr
The scene when Ian signed himself in for treatment of his bipolar disorder broke my heart... 💔💔💔Mickey knew there was nothing he could do to help him.
I dont think there has ever been a more organic, authentic relationship written in the history of television
As a straight man myself, I genuinely rooted for these two. It was true love. The ugly and the beautiful that many of us will probably never experience
I hardcore agree with you!! Im 40 years old so Ive seen many tv romances but this one wins it all! Their performance will go down in history ❤
“What you and I have, makes me free “ that shit hits different man 💕
Still the most relevant thing Shameless ever did.
“Can’t get him out of my head”
Same here
People don't understand 2 things.
I am calling this video “ crying material before sleep” and I am happy with that
ian fell harder , mickey fell deeper
this comment got me.
Noel Fisher is a hell of an actor. He's so good. There were several great performances on that show but he really stands out.
He carried Shameless and yet was thoroughly underestimated by the writers
OMG! 32 min of Ian and Mickey...I cannot wait to get off work to watch this!!
the chemistry between these two is incredible and i think you can really see in these smaller moments the way they care and love each other. its nice to see these moments focused on rather than the more important moments, not that they arent nice either ;) great video again
y’know if i could pin point one time that really shows how much ian felt for mickey, it was right before mickey got married. you see ian shitfaced on the couch, meaning he got absolutely hammered because he was in so much emotional pain, he continued to be drunk through the entire wedding set up and even at the after party. i believe that is the only time we see ian get that drunk before the bipolar storyline. he was super into the army and being an upstanding person unlike frank, and here he let himself totally go, it’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch him get so drunk he doesn’t even control himself and blurts out the truth at the after party
12:08. THE most passionate t.v. kiss I have ever seen in my life. These two are absolutely amazing actors!!! 😍😍😍
I cant believe that 2 straight guys can be that passionate about eachother
The neck caress by Mickey kills me every time.
I absolutely agree so sexy
30:02 The way Mickey nestles into Ian's shoulder has me 🥺🥺🥺
These two SELL the show! I am so in love with their relationship. Easily my two favorite characters
Can't wait for season 11... Eagerly anticipating. They both are adorable. Love to see them together. Wish writers don't disappoint us, come up with some interesting stuff n show more love between them.
The crazy things they do for eachother is so adorable 🥺🥺
Ian and Mickey both have done things more than required for each other and that makes them deserving of a happy ending. So Showtime better give them one cause I’m ready to throw fists
Abigail Rose Sonido SPOILER!!!!!
They got married in Season 10!🥺🤩🥰
Josefine Schiller yess but i hope showtime won’t do something bad for season 11
Mickey’s love language is Acts of Service and Ian’s is Quality Time. My two Love Languages combined. One reason why I love them 😍😍😍
i think part of the reason it seemed that ian wasn’t as in love with mickey was that he wasn’t expecting for mickey to end up that in love with him. from the beginning to end, mickeys love for ian changes dramatically, and ian wasn’t used to that.
oh damn this is half an hour that’s why it’s still going
I‘m really sorry for that. 😂
LizLawliet no there’s nothing wrong aha I just expected it to be like 5 minutes long and when I was 10 minutes through I was just like ‘wait..’ and then I finally checked aha
Lmao im stupid, I read "hardly in love with Mickey Milkovich" I was like holllllll up. We boutta throw some fist😂😂. Anyyyyywayyy nice post haha😂🥴
GTFO!)
RIGHTTTT
they love eachother equally, it seems like mickey fell harder cus he denied his feelings for soo long
i’ve watched this video twice already & my sibling is also now obsessed with it- i love them so much
at 7:00 or so, i completely missed this before but you can actually see a tear falling from Ian's eye.
THIS IS THIRTY MINUTES LONG IM SCREAMING IAN LOVES MICKEY SO MUCH
The journey that is Ian and Mickey is one for the ages ... their LOVE was certified battle tested and they came out the other side in one piece .
I just want someone to take every single scene of Ian, every single scene of Mickey, and every single scene of them together, and make it into a video dedicated to only them and all their parts
the closest thing I've found, besides the gallavich playlist, of course...ruclips.net/video/T5qbqTPzGQY/видео.html

Hes got some good facial expressions.
still upset that mandy and mickey’s brothers weren’t at the wedding!
and Fiona... they could've brought her back for just that episode like they brought Ian back for Fiona's last episode.
The way Ian’s freckles disappeared 🥺
“Mickeys waiting for me” ahhhhh
This will go down as one of the great relationships in all of literature. I think it's changed everything for ever.
This was made into a book?

I was so aggravated with the writers trying to put Ian with someone so incredibly boring as Trevor and expecting viewers to go along with it
Whoever made this is great ngl
I cried about 10 times watching this❤️
You know this is the only video I have seen where I get to see and feel like Ian married him for loving him and would take up for him.
OMG 32min. I love you 💕
I’ve watched a lot of on screen romances but this duo script the writers have wrote is off the scale . The HI’s and Low’s , the anger, the passion and all the different emotions are incredibly scripted and acted . These two deserve an award for their performance in shameless, incredible work guys !! ❤
Thank you for this❤️ I’m gonna watched this video every day😍
Both actors really nailed their characters! The chemistry, the raw emotions, the struggles. All beautifully portrayed.
The one who dislikes this video it mickey father 😂😂😂😂trust me
I'm not crying your crying....
I also love how mean lan and mickey are to each other
Ian and Mickeys love story outcome is like no other. It makes me so happy and sad but their love is so strong. 🥺
This is like ultimate Gallavich video 10/10 great job !
Ian was starstruck at first sight by Mickey, then he had to go through Mickey being violently reluctant then the wife and child then his developing bipolar then Mexico and alllll that shit before he finally got to marry Mickey Milkovich and he deserves it dammit.
I felt so bad for ian for so long
I hate it when people say that “Ian fell first but Mickey fell harder.” That is complete bullshit.
I love this relationship so much!!❤️
This is well said absolutely love this
@@deanwinchester822 Thank you! That means a lot to me. I felt like I needed to explain this because it’s honestly getting on my nerves when people say that Ian doesn’t love Mickey as much as he used. That’s just not true.
The writers did this to Ian's character by not allowing him to grieve when Mickey left. Both times. Jail and Mexico. It made Ian appear hard and indifferent.
@@mlgZippthe writers fucked a lot of shit up.
