- In this episode, I install a set of Hyundai Genesis Coupe Brembo calipers on my Honda CR-V.

I have an 2” lifted first gen CRV(5spd as well like yours but stock B20) as well and these videos help me so much. So keep making these videos… know I wanna put that brake system on my CRV lol 😂

Oh yes papi. Finishing lines. I was planning to run his lines to my staging brake and plug up the prop valve also his front ss braided brake lines from my prop valve to the caliper and my master cylinder. In red and blue 🇺🇸. All de bald eagles yeeyee. You definitely are the cr-v guru. Genius with the washers.

I'm looking forward to following this project. I have a membership to a car auction with hopes of finding a cheap RD1 project. A $500 RD1 would be amazing.

could you please provide the measurement, of how far the new calipers protrude past the rotor? Distance from rotor surface to furthest out point on the caliper. Thank You!

I need a set
I recently jammed my proportion valve closed accidentally working on the rear brakes. I learned something new they say. Don't give it more than 1 or 2 pumps. When bleeding, the rear or front brakes independently will close the proportion valve

Was there a brembo conversion for the prelude, and would that work with the disk conversion on the rd1 crv? full brembo conversion all the way around.😁
Just picked up my hyundai genesis brembos off market place before ppl start raising the price. Got them pretty cheap. Still got the drums in the back tho. I need to do the rear disk still.

Love you videos bro! Question man. I Have 2001 Honda crv. Originally had a b20z2 and I am now installing in a b20B p8r from a 1998 crv. Got all of the engine harness plugged in but still have some plugs that aren’t because the new engine doesn’t have the connections for them. Do you think this would cause a problem?
Such as? I'm guessing knock sensor and crank position sensor

@@SUBI_53 you can do a ckp bypass, I have a video for that. The block should be threaded for a knock sensor.

Question since you were able to put new pads and spaced out the caliper is it necessary to grind down the caliper? Being that the new pads are thicker than the “leg”
It's still necessary to grind it a little

Rotors are stock, so brakes are not bigger, is it more stopping power?
I can't really notice much difference honestly.
Pad compound makes a considerable difference in stopping power. Went from Napa pads and rotors on the front of my turbo accord to Dynamic friction slotted rotors and EBC yellow pads and the difference was night and day. Still stock rotor size and caliper
