Create Quadrant Lines for an XY Scatter Chart
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 авг 2016
- This video shows how to create a four quadrant matrix and mark them for an XY scatter chart. Sure you can use the drawing tool to make the lines that'll make up your 4 quadrant areas, but what fun would that be? Let's use a table of data to create the quadrant so you can model your data more visually.

Hi Abdur Rahman, thanks for the comment!
How do i put names to every point?
Great video, can you do similar one for bubble chart? Or it will not work???
I haven't tried for bubble chart, but the concepts should not be too different
Doug H I tried it on bubble charts but it does not allow to add any line so I had to resort to VBA via a macro and it works like a charm. Thank you for the inspiration
Hi Sherif Ali, thanks for adding to the thread!
is there a way to make it more dynamic
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe something like (Max(range)-Min(range))/2 would be best.
+brianxyz or using macros n adding to it min max n avg
How Excel determines axis limits is a mystery that would give some challenge to MAX/MIN formula. See Jon Peltier's post on this peltiertech.com/how-excel-calculates-automatic-chart-axis-limits/
However he does have a "solution" via VBA that might help with this question. peltiertech.com/link-excel-chart-axis-scale-to-values-in-cells/
+Doug H thanks a lot will have a look at it
