Why is the bass sax not used more, that thing is awesome.
Bass sax is typically less common. At least where I'm from.
It's the same problem with my urge to play the Contrabass Clarinet, my school won't let me play it because there aren't that many parts for it.

Stuff like this is the reason I love being a saxophone player. I keep being reminded how cool the sax can be, I wish it were more relevant in popular music today. I'm longing for the 70's and 80's era of music when it was still cool to have a sax player in the band.
Nice one! That bass sax is awesome. It's like you don't need an octave key because playing in the low octave must be so much fun :)

How many instruments and big or small saxes
Please keep the Sakkusu up for like 10 years, because by then I know I'll have enough for a bass. I hope I can find a bass sax cheaper, but that would only be at stores in real life that are like surplus or just garage sales; this is the best deal online!

I've read several comments worrying about having to read a bass clef Tuba part when wanting to play a bass sax or contrabass clarinet due to there not being much original scoring around. I've got a tip for those: European parts. Especially in Switzerland, the lower brass in Concert Bands usually reads in transposed treble clef and our Tubas are either tuned in Eb or Bb and reading the accordingly transposed treble clef, perfect for use with lower saxes and clarinets. The Eb Tuba transposes like a bari sax and the Bb Tuba transposes like a bass sax. Most sheet music publishers provide those scores as "European parts", which can also often be purchased separately. They are usually available for any piece of music intended to be played for Concert/Military Band as those are quite common here.

As the others have said, Darude Sandstorm has a ridiculous amount of beats. They would either have to split it into half and alternate each of them, or just kill themselves trying to play past 10 seconds.
Snowyfox easier way: play it at 0.5x speed then tell people watching to turn their speed up to 2

It's four chords and the melody is in the chords, just transcribe it :P
Chris Arsenault im not all that good at transcribing, im new at it so it just takes about a year (joke) to transcribe a song
DESTROYR NICK Try it. The first time you transcribe it might take you 8 hours. The next time it will take you 4 hours. It gets easier the more you do it, it's a matter of practicing.

Multiphonics are possible, but it's not like playing chords on guitar or piano. Doesn't work for just any note combination you want.
