Dude, I'm tardy to the party 🎉 but this is just what I needed. I live in an apartment with no garage, but my mom lives close by, but she doesn't have a garage. I'm building this today in her backyard.
Just bought my first four door wrangler and I don’t have a garage… huge outdoor property, no garage 😢. I just knew there was man with ingenuity out there that already did what I was thinking about doing and here you are. Huge thanks man!!
I've got a garage, but it acts as a shed. Bought a car garage thing from Harbour freight and used an engine jack I had laying around, but the China garage comes in handy to prevent the jeep from getting rained in and leaves out.
Best one I’ve seen. Best thing is you can take it down and store it for next year. FANTASTIC!!!
Just bought my Jeep last week and I've been preparing to buy an expensive hoist, but not anymore! Awesome design. Can't wait to put this together!
Any update on the Etsy instructions? Link is broken
Thank you so much, I went and droped a payment for the plans.. but the video did the job. I got to drive my jeep topless today.
Thanks so much! New Jeep owners here and I can't wait to go topless now! You da man!
Garrett, Thanks So much for this! I knew there had to be an easy, affordable way to get the Top off my 4 Door Wrangler JL. I’ll be building this, next Week…
Would like to see a video of you backing back under it and putting it back on.
the coming down is the hard part with the ratchet straps.
Great video !
Great idea love it
Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bought the lumber and everything to make this. Gonna build it on my vacation next month. Thanks for the awesome video.
How's it working out so far because I'm about to buy the parts
thank you
awsome vraiement instructif
Thanks
Nice!
Really enjoyed your website. Plenty of topless beaches in California. Not sure if on purpose but website great, added value 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great Video. Any ideas how an old guy like me can get the doors on and off?
I love how sloppy this is and how well it works. My kind of vid.
This is an awesome design and I thank you for sharing.
1 question, how do you lower your top back on?the ratchet straps don't work in reverse.
Got the instructions okay. Question if I may, the video shows to cross brace, one at each corner , 25 inches length with 45 degree angle. The instructions show 2 braces at each corner, 4 in total. Is there a preferred or am I missing something? Great video and feedback by the way. Love how the diligence by the lawyers is presented. 🤣🤣🤣
Done! Built it today.
How's that hoist working for you?
@@GarrettFromme I swapped out the tiedown straps for a pair of Harbor freight trailer winches. Working well!
@@jjbeemer i am interested how you attached the winches and put in the pulley system. not taking away from garrett's invention just wouldnt mind adding it.
@@craiginker6732 I should have said swapped the eyebolts for winches. I bolted them in the same location as the eyebolts, on top of the crosspiece. They're at slight angle to allow the cables to drop down a little better. Still looping the ratchet straps the same way around the hard top, just letting the winches do the lifting. Easiest with two people and two ladders.
One big wind and it’s allover
Design and build was good. Does the job BUT I can’t seem to get the top to stay even and lift up straight on the ratchet hooks.
Try turning the straps around I did and it’s better
I’d love to build this but the Etsy link doesn’t seem to be working? Also, I don’t have any electric saws…only hand saws.
Would love to purchase the plan but Etsy link not working
Hey! What happened guy? You still ok? Love you Garrett!! Hope you are well.
The instructions are not in Etsy anymore. Can we still buy them?
Girlfriend sent me this link. I told her get swingset at biglots for $39. Duckers aint that bright. I will be building her the best, handsfree top lift soon. Plans on my page.
Any update on the Etsy link? It’s not working!
its available now
Dry wall screws? Really?
Why can't I just slide it onto a sturdy table 😂
OMG Yu must not have kids around lol
