Exactly, when you have relatively very little space in an area compared to a lot of dishes, you have to be brutal about the hierarchy of importance and a seasonal serving dish for an item that's out of season is NOT high priority.

I think Marie does not feel ready yet for any responsibility other than living at Laland, 'Food is a true way to a mans heart, as it is through the stomach" But she knows much more comes with it, and she would rather stick with Lalande and as a family,she has enough responsbility but enjoyng this alone. A male person could cause her complications. She does not want that at all. Or other things could come up as well causing more problems. She is having "fun" even when it gets quite tiring, and confusing maybe, but 'Stephanie is allowing her to do a bit of what she wants'. She is like a member of the family! The kitchen now is her haven! Her domain, and she feels more and more comfortable with it, She is accepted by all who come to visit, and with family, and that is important to her, and they all love her dearly. Can only imagine how proud her biological mom and siblings now feel about her being a Chef?! Must be proud of how far she has come, and all she is doing!
But when you do not want love to strike, that is usually when out of the blue ,it happens! We will see? It may not ever happen, we must wait and see! For now : 'All is good" We do not want to lose her from Laland again! But all at once her eyes and his 'may meet', and then they are on a trip to heaven knows where!? Hopefully she is able to always be at Laland if happy.I think it will happen for her.
Hope Philip sees her sort of as a daughter too, if he can. Think he does? Stephanie is seeing this, and really cares about Marie and her well being! She has always liked her and saw something special in her, with such talent,

While I like your synopsis ...should we probe too deeply into people's motivations, aspirations, and goals yet unrealized? Especially when their lives are almost over-exposed & on video every day. The word "alchemy" comes to mind ...and also "privacy". Alchemy, in that many things in a person's life need a veil of privacy and even secrecy to develop ...Just like a seed needs the darkness of the earth that covers it in nature's secret void of alchemy that gives nutrients and hallowed time for growth, so that the seed begins to stretch for the surface and break forth into the sunshine. Our most private goals and aspirations need the alchemy of secrecy, privacy, and room to blossom forth into reality ...before revealed to all. It's a conundrum but true ....we don't dig up the seed each day just to see if it is developing ...we water it, fertilize it, and perhaps even sing to it ...and then let nature take its course. @@carolweaver3269
Im single and very independent . I am perfectly happy being on my own. I go out with friends and have 4 pets to keep me company.

Thank You Marie, I spent far too many years in very brief relationships because everyone kept convincing me I needed one....once I accepted I was happy without one life has become a joyful event!!! I swear there should have been a revolving door on my loft....

I hope they’re invited back to celebrate the completion of the chapel perhaps with their families. Possibly a mass with music and singing by the music group that regularly comes to the chateau (and Philip and Stephanie) The previous owners could be included to see the fruition of Stephanie’s promise to restore the chapel. And followed by a fete for the villagers to celebrate the chapel.

It's great that Marie is happy. It's a real blessing to feel contented with your own company in life, single or not. Marie is such a talented person. She's a gifted florist and I marvel at how she has turned her hand to cooking. Her creations are incredible.
Marie should have the last word on kitchen & cupboard arrangements. After all SHE is the cook and an amazing creative cook. 👩🍳Give her what she needs to get the job done. You are so lucky to have her.
But I'm not sure why the mugs are a big deal. It was funny though. I think most people have their favorite mugs.

I hope that cascade of red poppies beside the chapel stays. The contrast between the cream of the stone and the red of the flowers is beautiful. Gerry is right. The Chapel will be your legacy. All of Lalande. Was lovely hearing Phillip playing the piano again. Hope he continues. So thankful for Nattie. She is the rock. Best to all, including the remarkable artisans working on the chapel.

The artisans in the Chapel are incredible.
Marie has to function in tight quarters,her prep space is shared with a blogger,dish fanatic(sorry Phillip) house staff,all cumming's and goings ,dogs,cats and peacocks.Her fridge,stove,pantry,dish washing room and prep surfaces are all subject to changes.I think she deserves an award for keeping her cool.This is not a job it is a calling.
...and yet it is a country Bed & Breakfast ...AND a Private Home at the same time. Everyone needs to eat & everyone is responsible for their own breakfast, and presumably their own lunch. So staff & family which are often the same thing ...they all have to make room for each other.
@@kindlydudeI have been in several B&B’s and the kitchen was never the same room where guests ate. Marie should have more room to work and the cooking utensils placed where it is most convenient to her. Evidently a lot on here have never cooked for a large group. Every thing needs to be sanitary.
I cannot believe how much stuff you all have. One must get out from under every now and again. Marie totally gets that as she must function in that tiny kitchen space every day.
I just discovered a gem. Curtis Ryan Woodside and his photo shoot at De la Lande two years ago? Stephanie looks amazing, a natural model. I could not figure out how to link it in.
They do have like three more pantries. Where the freezers & friges are at maybe they just need more shelves? Amery, not now, but when you have time...😂
With all due respect, the kitchen is Marie’s domain, she shouldn’t have to compromise.
The cooking equipment and serving crockery and utensils etc but the kitchen is used by staff for meals and breaks too. It’s the gathering place for LaLanders.

I would like it if Marie just stuck to her job and do her other channel and not shoved down our throats. I am not a fan of the Marie train.
The staff should not be eating in that kitchen, OR they should continue but Marie should have a proper commercial kitchen made with stainless steel surfaces for all of the equipment needed by a professional chef.

Perhaps Amery needs to make mug storage? A plank of wood with cup hooks, & on a hinge to raise it out of the way & lower it for easy access! Where they are, looking for the right one, is near impossible & getting to it could be dangerous to the ones in front😢!!!

Poor Marie I feel her frustration being she is the chef and not having the space to work her culinary skills , clutter of dishes need to be relocated in order for her to do her best when serving the guest at the chateau 😢
In an ideal world there would be a separate catering kitchen, but I assume that's not possible.

Marie just needs a home which allows her to share her expansive aura of talents to bring joy to the residents and guests at the chateau! Bringing joy to others brings her great joy!

Marie is happy as is I was the same until I was 44 years young and sat down at a picnic table at yacht club where my twin docked their boat not big fancy boat but invited to a pot luck dinner ! Then Joe sat across from me saw that big smile on this big handsome guy ! That was it I had bought my own home happy working full time for the same company for 24 years never thought that would meet anyone but married 5 years later was the best thing sadly Joe passed in early 2020 but no regrets he made me laugh every day so unexpected to me that would meet my soul mate at 44 It just happened !So keep doing what you are doing now sad still without my big guy but back to my old single days still in our small brick bungalow just 8 minutes to beautiful Lake Huron still a member at the local yacht club Which still work at with best view on the great Lakes in Ontario Canada where I moved to after I met Joe ! So keep doing what you are doing if It happens yes but enjoy every day loving life as it is is okay also ! 😀😍

Yes, it is great to see Marie so happy AND confident! I can remember a time in her vlogs on her channel when she was incredibly depressed for a long period. Her situation seemed so oppressive and hopeless at the time, you could see that she felt like it would never change no matter where she was. She is gradually increasing her self esteem, nice.
I’ve noticed the wires from the lights on sink area… there is an available self adhesive acrylic cable clips available to keep them tidy…😊

I'm amazed at the steadiness of Benoit's hand! Surely, moving quickly is a part of that, but if I tried to do that I shudder to think of how my lines would look. I love how Lancelot tilted his head a bit while Philip was playing "Mama Mia" - like the RCA dog in the old "His Master's Voice" picture!
I happen to know for a fact that Marie has an extremely devoted and adoring very special someone in her life. His name is Lancelot. As a guest, I would much prefer the portions served to yourselves, otherwise it might be an idea to use smaller dinner plates so the meals look bigger! 🙈
