Couldn't believe little Lancelot saved the chick! I agree, Stephanie, it seems like a miracle. LaLande is enchanted.
He loves the birds, I am sure that he knows that they need to be protected. What a good dog.
Had something similar happened when i was little.
The neighbour, a hunter, rang our doorbell with a basket full of chicks.
Ours had escaped unknown by us at that time and made their way into the woods next door and his hunting dog found them all and brought them to the owner in his mouth unharmed.

Percy; 7:07 looking like a skater punk had me roaring with laughter. When he first appeared I couldn't stop myself from laughing, spewing out a mouthful of water across the dining table.
He and Isabelle were missed terribly. I am so pleased to see them reunited with family and doing so well.

Just read that baby peachicks can go up to 48h without food after they hatch. When do you think the babies hatched?

Percy is so funny. My Shih Tzu has been following a small fledging bird in our back yard and is more curious than hurtful.
You can hang around in the chapel longer for me please. I love seeing any part of it. Can’t get enough. ☺️

Lancelot loves taking care of other animals. I think it ws sweet how lancelot wanted to care for the baby Pea Chick. I pray it works alright as was afraid they may be mean to the Pea Chick. I pray he keeps thriving well now, I think Lancelot will be worried, about littlte Pea Chick now as he took him under his "feathers/ leg" and thought he was the daddy? lol
Mummy and Percy are doing so well! Glad Michael is there visiting and he is so fortunate getting served beverages in bed. My dad used to serve that to my mom each morning and my grandmother when she stayed the night, Very respectful . Hope Michael Potts comes back soon, He had many places to go and things to do with his photography profession, but his home is truly LaLande!
So nice to meet the young lady in the chapel who plans to become a lawyer , Both of them are very accomplished workers as well. So much being done at the Chapel and they are very goal setting and stay so focused when working, which they must.
Everything is moving along so nicely! There is much to be done at the Chateau, enough work for all!

That was such a miracle to find the pea chick the name should be miracle . The chapel exterior looks so fresh and clean and the painting is so intricate and lovely I will miss seeing it so often when it is complete.
Maybe they will have Sacred Music or Classical Music events there that will be shared with the public ...or us on YT.

that was so kool the way the baby peachick and thehen found each other. it was as if the hen sent out some thought wave of search beacon that we couldnt hear.lol. but the baby heard turned around and made a beeline to her. so interesting. thanks for that stephanie and marie
min 13:58, there's a gape of a hole in the fence right in shot. One would think it wouldn't take much to fix that hole, for chickens/peachicks. Scary.

So very Lucky Lancelot was to find the new lost Chick which then everyone noticed . Mummy and Percy are looking very well and enjoying being at the Chateau ive missed them being there thats for-sure . Please too that Summer has finally arrived just enjoy the Summer here in NZ we in Winter now we’re had some lovely fine days but last Sunday we had a big Thunderstorm that went for 4 hours and we ended up having flooding , Nothing around the House but on our Farm the big Gully had a river going through it . I hope all this Batch of baby chicks get to live a happy life . Fingers and Toes crossed . 🥰🦚🦚🦚🦚

That chapel is so magnificently ornate and colorful, I think people will want to go to Lalande just to visit it. There will be a clamoring for worship services, or tours to see the site, not to mention weddings!

Stephanie, everyday things look more and more lush and alive.
It's just beautiful, but Ive notice some statues around the property that need a good power wash
Mucky mold is never a good look, when everything coming up around it, is looking so good.
They are lichens, and are a sign of good air quality. Weirdly, old statues with lichen growth on are very sought after!
I will never understand the European aristocratic & historical statues, chateaus/structures & balconies/stairs covered in the many shades of brown, black & green. I've even been part of quite heated debates over the subject, as it is highly preferred by so many over there. The argument I was given is that washing them could possibly cause damage & it would take away from the charm. Surely there are safe modern methods though?
@@hahna77 I know in many cases, people prefer that it makes them more naturalised with the environment, and less glaring in colour. Natural weathering and lichen growth can be very attractive, softening edges and colours.

I think hand raising the pea chick might be best. If he is weak he need warmth and easy access to food and water. It would not be hard to raise him in a tote for a few weeks.

I know you have to watch the pea chicks like a hawk and you worry about that fox attacking at any time. That fox will plague you for year to come unless you do something about it first.
Have you thought of hiring the man that hunts the fox with a dog, he's pretty good and you will be saving your sanity as its hard constantly watching everything including Lancelot to make sure he's safe and doesn't get hurt.
Hes a little life saver and deserves a merit toy❤.
