Early development
In 2015, after Total War: Warhammer was announced but before it released, Creative Assembly announced that they planned to create a trilogy of Total War: Warhammer games.[1]
In 2016, Russian data-miners discovered plans in the Total War: Warhammer game files for a third game featuring Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh as factions.

Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly's grand strategy Total War series. Set in the grim, high fantasy world of Warhammer Fantasy, Total War: Warhammer pits many unique races in a struggle for domination of the Old World. For once daniel gets a break, and he does it by scamming nurgle into getting his capital via a scheme, tzeentch must be proud right now
Then proceeds to take a Tzeentch minor faction's capital instead as his first city. Truly, just as planned.

Epidemius should have read the fine print in the contract before He signed it. "Your neighbor has a demon in him and is prone to extreme violence." It was at the bottom of the contract... and written so small that you need a hundred magnifying glasses to be able to read it.
Considering where he is literally in the chaos wastes , I really don't think he would be really be concerned if he read that.
Isn't Epidemius a demon himself ? A puny mortal with a demon inside him should be laughable at best
@@Ron_Jambo_ a puny (im)mortal elf with a greater demon of Slaanesh inside him who gave him so much strength and regenerative powers that he could solo a Bloodthirster in his books. Epidemius is just a glorified plaguebearer.

@@Ron_Jambo_ "A demon", surely not. But demons know other demons better than mortals. Knowing 'which' demon or what kind of demon, would be a cause for concern for Epidemius, is all Im saying.
Even if he vanquished Malus, maybe the demon inside of him would come for revenge sooner or later. Demons are immortal after all.
Malus and Tzarkan hate each other to be sure, but Epidemius wouldnt know that. Normally stopping a 'pawn' (as how Epidemius would see Malus) of a demon would earn you the ire of said demon.

I see many a campaign where Boris ends up getting dumpstered by Damian though much to the dismay of Katarin, Kostaltyn and Malakai.
@@heistingcrusader_ad3223 it's a rare instance of a faction synergizing well with the idiot AI. The demon prince gets 99% the chaos ROR and the AI is quite proactive in hiring ROR units. This means that if he survives long enough then it's very likely he ends up with a fairly powerful army even if the AI builds stupid recruitment buildings.
Of all his Daemonic Gifts, it was his silver tongue that saved him that day...
Malus is “kind of lord you don’t even think about melee them down” tier lord.
Add Tammy to that List. He starts right next to Archeon, good Luck fighting that Chungus before Archy gets his Items and like 20 Levels ahead.
Now we need a video of the trial. 2 tzeentch lawyers, deamonets as journalists, khorne bloodletters as court guards. The judge could be Kairos just listening and rambling under his breath about something completly differant 😂

Malus jumpscare with the fucking skyward sword silent realm guardian music actually made me jump.
Something actually happened to Daniel that didn't screw him over and someone else instead.
But now he'll have to deal with Boris much earlier.
To be entirely fair, compared to Malus and Darkshards, Boris and his drunk bears riding ursine cavalry are a bit of a pushover. Worst case, he rushes for a firestorm or Purple Sun to clear out the Kossars and leave just Boris.
You can easily deal with Daniel in true Tzeentchian style - if you have a lord close enough to reinforce Daniel when he attacks his enemies capital, manual combat will wreck him. Auto combat will leave Daniel relatively healthy. You don't even need to 'accidentally' spam spells onto his forces, the defenders are strong enough to knock him out.
CA, using new smaller factions as a way to make buffers for bigger factions to prevent them from dying day 1 and masquerading it as adding new unique lords.😅

I am turn 30 in my campaign with him, Malus hass been chill so far. Unlike the kislevites that committed suicide by declaring war on me, he is a respectable neighbour

The new disease system was quite a bit fun and especially with Epidemius rushing plague boons.
I have no idea how he got the diseases themselves to be scouts for him (you can do that, they will reveal fog of war as they travel) though but I like it
the chaos wastes are too filled tbh, either should be expanded or some characters moved away
I dont think I have ever even seen him because the poor blighter gets wiped out so easily.

I think people don't realize you can befriend Malus on turn 1 and then just contribute to ice monkey habitat loss.
Eppy: Those are nice ranged units you have there. It’s a good thing I don’t have some kind of disease symptom that can cut an enemy’s ranged damage output while raising my physical and ranged resistance OH WAIT.
Malus is main threat himself. Fast on 6 level Spike, armored,ap, good stats with a lot of debuffs,2 full hp bar, aoe damage AND self heal. Powerful on auto battle, he is horifying againts low tear armies. Without really leveled lord and heroes, he is hust Vlad level campaign- ender.
Cool, you just dealt with 3% of the problem.
Now deal with the 97% that is Malus “Two Fucking Health Bars” Darkblade.

Malus has no aversion to you: butter him up a bit and dissuade him from attacking you.
Voila: he’s Sigvald’s problem.
Then you just keep sending plagues west to weaken both as they inevitably fight each other, then swoop in when they’re drained and finish them off.
@@KrimzonFlygon1 One problem - Ai will have WarpSword, making Malus even more broken. Bad luck with few wardsave for Malus, 10 or 17 percent, anx you just have not army to handle him.
Sigvald absolutely bodied Malus and Epidemius last time I played Daemon Prince. Threw my plans out of wack because I thought they’d serve as a buffer while I dealt with Archaon…
Seriously, he’s a fop but Sigvald is friggin’ scary.
My ultimate point being: if you’re playing Nurgle and you’re fighting anything other than armies of half-dead plague victims, your plans need reassessment.

I never had problem with him. (you be shock how easy he is if your first strike is to Sink his black ark and then force him into a 1v1)
Finally bought the Champions of Chaos DLC, cranked up the difficulty, loaded up Valkia (totally not reskinned 😏) and went to war. Found Epidemus had gone south into Norsca Territory.
He did not survive long 😂
He just wants to lose earlier so he can focus on his endless work.

Then Tzarkan came out to play and killed my entire army single-handedly... 😭

Malus is hella busted early game but the power of heal spamming and spirit leech led me to victory as Epidemius
The worse part of it all, the poor bastard is far too slow to even escape. At least Daniel could try to fly away.
