Back in middle school we hired a DJ for our dances, and the DJ’s equipment for the first three dances was QSC K12 tops above KW181 subs. On the fourth dance, he showed up with the RCF EVOX 12 sets very similar to these but black. I was amazed by the sound of the column tops: not quite as harsh to my ears. There was one catch that is worth noting though: the subs seemed like an obvious downgrade, and obviously the DJ thought the same. These are primarily for quick non essential satellite speakers where interference wouldn’t be much of an issue I do think it’s site specific and situational. I didn’t get any interference at this site but I could see scenarios where one would. I would say if you are in a metropolitan area, these might not be right for you. For essential audio where I know I wouldn’t want any interference or drop outs, I have my sennheiser G4s for that. But for a quick in and out extra sound, these are great
Hello :) I have a question, and I need advice :) I have evolve 50 But in big halls I miss bass :( what do you advise to buy a second set of evox 12 for big halls? Should I add 1 ekx 15 sp to evolve 50? Thanks for answer :)
I would go totally traditional tops with bass…if you’re looking only at columns then the EVOX12s should be fine. I’ve been very happy with mine, even in big halls.
Hey sounds and looked awesome my friend! So I’m curious on your opinion. I own the RCF Evox 12’s as well and I own Ev evolves too. I love the Evox 12 but only bring them out when I know I can keep them spread out far from each other and crank them. With that set up they are monsters!!! But if I’m in a smaller room and playing at a lower volume I think the Evolves sound better, definitely clearer in my opinion...What’s your thoughts on that now that you’ve taken them for a spin.
Couldn’t agree with you more. They felt like a caged lion in that space…I think different tools for different jobs. I’ll continue to use the evolves for smaller functions and the EVOX12 for bigger rooms/crowds. I’m still looking for that Swiss Army knife of mobile PA’s but unfortunately I haven’t encountered it yet. Each system out now has its positives and negatives. The EVOX12 comes the closest.
@@lavishlifedjs When you say, 'smaller functions' ... what sort of guest numbers are you talking? e.g. wedding with 150-guests ... maybe 50-60 dancing max dancing at once?
@@GreenLemonKidsClub less than 100 in a smallish venue...I've done more with the evolves and it's been fine but having the EVOX in my possession eliminates me trying to push these to the limits...with the EVOX, I've had to turn the volume down
EVOX12 sound didn’t distort at high volume and didn’t drop off towards the back of the room. Even my wife noticed that the sound from the back in the video was still amazing in this video. With that stated, the Evolve sound is magical and complete…The added base gives it an edge as well. Tough choice but to have more headroom I’m leaning more towards the EVOX12
Situational. Crowded 2.4ghz might potentially cause some interference. These are great for cocktail speakers. I have the senheiser G4s if I were to use these for mains. But for a cocktail set up where I can tap in to my main system and be able to make announcements from my booth these work well.

You could either use wired dmx cables from the ape labs connect dmx out to your fixtures or try a wireless solution. There are many wireless dmx solutions out now. The one I use are the donner wireless dmx kit I bought from Amazon. They work really well and I would recommend.
Hope that helps.
@@lavishlifedjs awesome I appreciate it. Thank you.
Hear mixed reviews on the XVive. Specifically too much white noise on the 2.4ghz band which is so overcrowded. Did you experience any of that?
These are primarily for quick non essential satellite speakers where interference wouldn’t be much of an issue
I do think it’s site specific and situational. I didn’t get any interference at this site but I could see scenarios where one would. I would say if you are in a metropolitan area, these might not be right for you.
For essential audio where I know I wouldn’t want any interference or drop outs, I have my sennheiser G4s for that.
But for a quick in and out extra sound, these are great
Them evox 12 knock don’t they? I have the black ones
They sure do…looking to couple the bases too…I’ll report back if I do
Hello :) I have a question, and I need advice :) I have evolve 50
But in big halls I miss bass :( what do you advise to buy a second set of evox 12 for big halls?
@@GreenLemonKidsClub less than 100 in a smallish venue...I've done more with the evolves and it's been fine but having the EVOX in my possession eliminates me trying to push these to the limits...with the EVOX, I've had to turn the volume down
What is the table under your controller?
Gator stand
Which Jackery are you using? Great video sir!
Jackery 500
Great video bro!!
Appreciate it 🙏🏾
Oh, another guy from the Hypefam, doesn't expect that. 👍
Thanks
What size was that Jackery? Also are you ever red lining on your Rcf, mixer or controller?
Jackery 500. I try to gain stage and avoid redlining starting from my serato, then my controller, then my mixer and eventually my speakers
Ok but if we say evox 12 vs evolve 50 plus one elx200-18sp?
EVOX12 sound didn’t distort at high volume and didn’t drop off towards the back of the room. Even my wife noticed that the sound from the back in the video was still amazing in this video.
With that stated, the Evolve sound is magical and complete…The added base gives it an edge as well.
Tough choice but to have more headroom I’m leaning more towards the EVOX12
Thank you very much
So the verdict on the xvive? I’m thinking of getting one
Situational. Crowded 2.4ghz might potentially cause some interference. These are great for cocktail speakers.
I have the senheiser G4s if I were to use these for mains.
But for a cocktail set up where I can tap in to my main system and be able to make announcements from my booth these work well.
Smashed it!
Thank you sir 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Very informative video my man! But, what beat are they listening/dancing to?! IJS
Thanks...the party songs in the video ? On The Floor, September, Celebration
@@lavishlifedjs I was being sarcastic. I know the songs, but their beat/feet didn't! LOL
@@ericjones7129 lol…I was like ‘ok’ sure I’ll give you the names…sarcasm went over my head 😬
@@lavishlifedjs BTW...Im running EV 50s (Blk), with a Prime 4. Best sounding speakers Ive EVER owned!!

I’ve been looking for the new white version of the evox 12’s where did you purchase??

Man you need to try db technologies inginia ig3T
I’ll try anything my friend…just need to become a millionaire first 😉
do you get concerned about drop out or interference with the wireless connections?
very situational. for this particular set up I didn't get any drop outs
Nice but I don't have $6000 for a set of these.... lol I am curious to how the Bose L1 16 pro measure up to these ?
Bose in general sounds ok/good but they are not loud, if you want a good and loud sound try RCF 9xx series or JBL
I hear ya…these were quite the investment
I’ve never personally hear the Bose but would love to put these up against them and the Maui 44G2s
@@icsux I agree, point sources in general sound better than column arrays imho
@@lavishlifedjs But like you said columns are easy on back and knees.
@@lavishlifedjs Make it happen man! But hey don't don't come in white.
If I were getting some of these new speakers, I’d choose the DB Technologies ES1203.
Looked at those as well but at the time weren't available for testing
nice edit rolling the footage over the choir singing
Thank you. 🙏🏾
I thought they didn’t make the evox12 in white ?!

Rcf find it harsh vs evolve
At low volumes, the Evolves sound amazing
@@lavishlifedjs true rcf find it to bright the sound
Up to how how many people u recommend 5 evolve 50 outdoors
@@lavishlifedjs true its not really for most parties
Decibels to dollar its not there yet
Rcf its loud
Great choice
soooo your little wash lights is all the dance floor illumination your are providing? they better don't turn the lights off 😅, sacrifice the illumination to make your setup look nice Im not sure is the best option for the client, also yeah nice slim speakers, for how many people we are talking? not sure all my events will be 100-150 people lol.
Thanks for the feedback
Keep going

Sounds like you have never tried the Bose Pro32/Sub2. Only $3,300 for one side :)
I have never tried the Bose but have heard them at shows…not sure if I got the real true sense of what they can do though.
I am currently loving my Evox12s
The Evolves high end sound more crisp IMO
Both are dope. Evolves at low volumes sounds amazing. When you want to have reach, the RCF Evox is the go to

Dj Peck , sorry I am late to this video . I am going to be honest here , you sounded great . Those singers were awful. Sorry but they do not compare to how professional you are !
They were the late show choir with David Letterman but not sure if this was the full team
Overpriced speakers!!!
Definitely pricey
